  • does anyone else realized that anybody could have saved her...all superman did was move her...next time she should DO A BARREL ROLL

  • @bondagefella5555 Actually, if you look closely, you'll notice that there's rope around the rails. You see it at her feet and as the camera pans in at her shoulders as well.

  • He wouldn't need to save her if she was tied to a UK railway line...the train would have been cancelled.

  • idk why those thracks look so comfty

  • What Noel Neill brought to the TV version of Lois Lane, was that she had that girl next door quality to her. It was different from the Lois Lane that she played in the movie serials, where the Lois Lane character was more focus about getting the story. And might I add, back in the day, she had some very attractive looking legs on her.

  • I met Noel Neill at a film convention a few years ago. She's a delight with that special smile to tell you that she's glad to meet you and she knows that she was probably your first crush at age 8-9. Actually, she seemed more like a big sister than a girl friend, Although there were other stars at the convention, her appearance made it all worth while.

  • From a fabulous series

  • Great clip and Noel looks beautiful in her long over the knee length dress. There are plenty of " rescue, untie and carry " scenes of her in the first cinema movie serial " Superman " 1948 ( with Kirk Alyn as " Superman " ). This movie serial also has the beautiful villainess " Spider Lady " ( Carol Forman ) who wears a long shiny black dress with front centre split ! This and the 2nd 1950 movie " Superman v/s the Atom Man " are available as a double set from Amazon ( Noel's in both ). Regards.

  • @Splitskirts Thanks for the info. I would love to buy that DVD set.

  • I used to love this show

  • Those tracks dont have any tie plates or railroad spikes. Nothing is holding the rails to the track! I predict a derailment!!

  • I LOVE GIRLS STRUGGLING AGAINST ROPES!

  • dumb bitch

  • This is from "The Perils of Superman"

  • @johnalang And one of my favorite episodes from the TV series.

  • People just don't tie people to railroad tracks anymore. All the old traditions...

  • Every time that I have looked at this particular scene, I look at how she was tied up. Everything else looks good, but I look at both of her wrists, and though they are tied her body, there is a part of me, feels that could free her self from her situation. I mean, I love the fact that other parts of her body are tied up, including her ankles, but it just seems her wrists could have been tied better, say behind her back. Does anyone agree?

  • I wish Superman didn't show up. I wanted to see that train barrel down on her and destroy her. Total Destruction!

  • @BunglingOaf "make a new lane from Lois Lane"

  • Wow. He should have used his superstrength and snapped those ropes in half...

  • how did she get out of the kitchen?

  • Darn

  • Ahhh, that's MY Lois!

  • @thesilverspider actully there are two girl on my list who are nim-wits, MJ and LL I mean MJ screams way to much and way TOO loud! And LL is like dumb in the head, she can't figure out who SM is. OMG!! WAKE UP SISTA!!

  • Sometimes late at night, when I am all alone, I enjoy watching Lois struggle with her bonds!

  • superfluous mouth-gag

  • i love superman...yay for superman saving lois lane!

  • Just saw this episode again, today, and still enjoyed watching it. Especially with Lois Lane is tied to the tracks. And I love the way she is tied to the tracks. You almost feel, if it were not for Superman, Lois Lane would have most definitely been a goner.

  • Why the buck was dis on recommended???? Oo

  • The director missed a classic " up skirt " opportunity.

    ...I know Fox News wouldn't have !

  • woo. go superman. hoo-rah.

  • The only thing i hate of the color shows

of this is that his cape sucked. He should

of had the same type of cape as the b&w

shows.I wish that they can colorise the

    b&w episodes of SUPERMAN.

  • Yes, that is one gay little cape.

  • This is from "The Perils of superman", which wa Directed by George Reeves. Jimmy gets his breaks messed up on a mountain road. Perry White gets tied up to a tree heading to a saw in a lumber yard and Clark Kent gets dunked in a tank of acid.

  • One of my favorite episodes of the 1950's version of Superman.

  • from the last season and one of the few good ones shot in color. I liked 1953 bland white the best with "Panic In the Sky", "The Defeat of Superman", "Crime Wave", "Superman In Exile" etc

  • I have to admit that I liked the Superman episodes that were shot in black and white the best as well, but mostly for the story lines. I thought story lines for the b&w episodes were less campy and actually nicely written compared to much of the episodes shot in color. They were too campy for my taste, though I would admit to enjoying watching Lois Lane get tied up a lot. However, the storylines for much of the episodes in color, were okay at best.

  • I think a lack of foresight on the part of Kellog's was to blame for that direction. They saw it as a kids show only. They forgot that 'adults' are just older kids.

  • This episode would rank as one of my favorite episodes of the 1950's classic. It had that old movie serial vibe to it.

  • Yes, like 'The Perils of Pauline'. I think i especially like the way George Reeves busts through the wall when he saves Perry white from the buzz saw. Much like the classic scene from 1953 when he flies to the Governor's mansion to get a reprieve. "Your word is good enough for me, Superman"

  • Lois Lane is the ultimate classic damsel queen. I love her.

  • Don't you know it. I just love it when she gets tied up. No offense to Phyllis Coates, but I have to be honest, but I just love watching Noel Neill get tied up.

  • I don't blame you.

Personally, I love to have my cake and eat it too, so I'll take both of those ladies any day.

  • Agree. Both were great at playing Lois Lane, but I have to admit I enjoyed watching Ms. Neill a bit more. There was something fun watching her tied up for those couple of minutes.

  • You may already know this, but Ms. Neill was also tied up in the black and white 1948 movie, plus other episodes from the George Reeves TV series. The good news, is that your pleasure can last for much more than a couple of minutes. :-)

  • @thesilverspider I am definitely with you on that. Especially, the way Noel Neill played Lois Lane.

  • @faceman68 I agree. Ms. Neill was pretty cool. But the best Lois Lane that I have seen so far is Erica Durance, from the TV show "Smallville".

  • @thesilverspider No doubt that I would say as well that Ms. Durance is the best, if not one of the best Lois Lanes.

  • @faceman68 The best Lois Lane was Terri Hatcher

  • @1203kitkat I am not sure about that. I kind of like Erica Durance as Lois Lane. However, when it comes to a Lois Lane getting tied up, I have to be honest I love watching Noel Neill get tied up, especially in this particular episode.

  • @faceman68 I guess it has more to do with is that Terri Hatcher was the first Lois Lane I had ever watched on t.v. or a movie. Lois & Clark was my absolute favorite show as a kid. And what I meant to say is that Terri Hatcher was the best Lois Lane for me. You're right Noel Neill does play getting tied up very well.

  • go superman!

i love Noel Neill. she was more of a lois to me.

  • I love watching Noel Neill get tied up. She was one of my favorite actresses to watch get tied up either on film or on television.

  • It would be really fun to watch a gorgeous women be absolutely annihilated by a big fucking train.

  • The train started coming......

  • I just love watching this clip of Noel Neill tied to the railroad tracks. In fact, I loved it when she gets tied up on the show.

  • i love this video

18-f. i like this vid cT

  • its spelled Kneel

  • I just love this clip. I found it more fun, and appealing, to see Noel Neill's version of Lois Lane get bound and gagged more than Phyllis Coates. Now, do not get me wrong, Ms. Coates, was fun to watch get tied up too, but not on the same level as Ms. Neill. As for Teri Hatcher, the one episode that I really enjoyed seeing her get tied up was the one where she was tied up with another woman.

  • Ahh, Teri Hatcher, she is the sexiest Lois Lane.

  • Dream on Erica Durance is the sexiest Lois Lane!

  • Dream on-ON, Dana Delaney is the sexiest Lois Lane!

  • She doesn't count, she provided the voice of a cartoon.

  • She doesn't count because she's not even half as good looking as Noel Neill.

  • That depends on the era the Superman you're watching is from...

  • I absolutely hated that whole series !

  • Well youre the only one I ever heard say that. How old were you when they were shown? Or are you even that old? That might explain your dislike.

  • I'm talking about the Teri Hatcher series with Dean Cane as Superman. I am a big superman friend, but hated the way this show was directed.

  • She reveals just a little bit of p*ssy for a moment if you stop the action

  • Yeah, if you've got X-Ray vision.

  • I can never get enough watching Noel Neill getting bound and gagged on the Adventures of Superman. This episode along with the episode where she was tied up in that room in the episode "The Man Who Dreamed Dreams".

  • Almost as enjoyable as watching Penny on Sky King get tied up, gagged, and thrown the closet. We boys in the 50s had some weird thrills. ;o)

  • To be honest, I have never seen an episode of Sky King, just the videoclips seen here on Youtube.

  • Oh, it seemed Penny was getting tied up & gagged every other week. Something for us to think about on the monkeybars. ;o)

  • I was not born when Sky King was on. Anyway, when it came to Lois Lane, when she was tied up and gagged, and put into situations like this scene, where she is tied to the tracks, I get a rush from it. There is a part of me, that almost does not want Superman to save her just yet. To be honest, I want to see Lois struggle a little more in her ropes.

Noel Neill had some very sexy legs back in the day.

  • I met Noel (Lois) in Metropolis Illinois at the Superman Fesival. She told about George R eeves and John Hamilton (Perry White). John Hamilton was a very serious actor.

  • Which episode was this from?

  • This is from the episode "The Perils of Superman".

  • Much obliged there faceman (and I have to agree, along with Diana Rigg as Emma Peel Noel's Lois was one of my favourite damsel-in-distress-but-still-tough characters)

  • Your welcome. When I saw the the show I was more into seeing Noel Neill's version of Lois getting bound and gagged more than the Phyllis Coates version of Lois Lane.

As for Diana Rigg, I did not mind her being the Damsel in Distress, but I also liked from the same show, I loved Honor Blackman, and Linda Thornston's characters getting the Damsel in Distress treatment as well. They were vulnerable, but yet still tough characters.

  • This was a great scene, unfortunately it was edited, and came from one of the best episodes. Interesting to note, in the Superman animated series, he would stand on the tracks and actually stop the train with his hands, I'm guessing since the effects budget is limited,it was cheaper to have him untie Lois in a nick of time. In another episode "Shot in the Dark", the same situation occurs.

  • I understand what you are saying. To me, this is one of the best scenes in seeing the Lois Lane character being tied up. Another one that mention was the one where she was tied up in the closet. Another favorite was the episode where Lois and Jimmy were tied up in a house, and the mob thought the guy, they knocked unconscious was Superman, and they, the mob, were going to destroy the house, with all three in there.

  • Good point faceman68, thanks for mentioning, also noteworthy about the Lois Lane character is that throughout the series, she mentions many times Clark runs away in time of peril, and also states that she "always wonders about you Mr. Kent". Most reporters have the intelligence and perception to do their job, why cant she figure out who Clark really is?

  • That is what I wonder myself. Somehow, you kind of wonder that she should have figure that both Clark and Superman are the same person.

Anyway, For me, I love the Noel Neill version of Lois Lane. I loved it more when she got tied up and gagged more than the Phyllis Coates version. To be honest, I did not want to see Noel Neill get rescued from her situation just yet.

When I look at this clip, I like the ropework in the way she was tied up.

  • Except he DIDN'T untie her in the nick of time. She freed herself just as he was starting to Neill... er, kneel down. Guess old Supes was superfluous to this scene.

  • No incorrect. He used his superpowers and untied her so fast that it wasn't visable to the naked eye. It just seems like she freed herslf.

  • What is he? The Flash or Superman? I don't mind him rescuing her but he really shouldn't steal somebody else's superpower to do it. What's next? Is he going to start wearing a utility belt?

  • Heh heh heh... I was going to say that I could have sworn this was in black and white, but then I remember that when I saw it as a kid, we had a black and white TV!

  • Noel Neill was one of my favorite Lois Lanes. I always enjoyed seeing her in some type of damsel in distress situations.

  • Shiny nylons and heels too
