I refer you to the bible passage where four brothers wanted to save their sick friend. Jesus was in a house and it was too crowded to get to him. They decided to get on the roof and dig a hole through the roof and let their friend down. Because of their faith Jesus commended them and healed their friend. Breaking through the roof is property damage but yet Jesus commended them.

In reading what iamgadfly's project is all about it is about raising awareness. We can't now say we did not know or weren't aware of it. We now know so we have the right and freedom for what I understand this is what it is all about so we can either sit back judge and do nothing or write letters in good faith to the different agencies. Inthelight, the little "graffiti" tossed on the walls in that hotel caused real damage that ordinary Chinese in that private hotel-- not the government-- have to deal with. The first step in successfully protesting is to show love and respect for the common people, and encourage them to bring about change from within, peacefully. This process is in fact occurring in that country, with many of us engaged in the effort. Vandalism such as this, only sets back all our efforts.

Alert, many people (including some in prior Christian volunteering groups I have associated wtih), have claimed to be working for God Almighty, then committed acts of embezzlement or even violence, trying to rationalize it away. One does God's work by showing it one's actions, not one's claims, and I'm sorry, but vandalizing a hotel with innocent people (no government connection) goes against this. Very true, but we don't get thrown in jail for distributing Bibles. This is a cry for religious freedom, freedom of choice, freedom to believe in what you want to believe, freedom to comment the way you want for example. Many people in China do not have this freedom. Is the USA perfect, the answer is no. All we are asking is the Chinese government ratify the human rights agreement they have already signed.
