No wonder there hovers are so shit if this is what there engineers get up to with the stock there hovers have prob sucked a 100 cocks before you get it there for what a shit blow job it now gives
"Bladeless" MY ASS... The blades are hidden, just below the circle, in the base of the fan... There are just some cleverly placed wholes to intake and exhale the air... I used to believe your crap, Dyson, but then I took some knowledge to the brain... It WOULD have been truly amazing if that fan of yours wouldn't really have any blades or moving parts at all..
Total CRAP DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! IN THE USA WE REQUIRE FANS THAT WILL DRY OUR SWEAT OFF, THE UK PEOPLE DONT SWEAT CAUSE THEY ARE ALL BIPOLAR AND SCHIZOPHRENICS!
Cool "fans" But ion wind isn't very healthy... I am actualy making a remote controlled ion wind flyer as my project for automation... The automation part is to make it hover unatached and uncontrolled. Got alot of advice to stay faaar away from it when it runs from the chemistry professor! Probably a good idea having in mind the 35000V on the electrodes... :D
i saw this on an infomersial a few monthes ago and i looked it up today on my laptop, i thought it might cost 50$ at most, then i see 300$ and i nearly crapped my pants..
I saw this while shopping at Costco with my parents. They stared at it with big eyes for the few moments before my father tried to stick his hand into the big hole in the middle. My mom harshly pulled his hand away and said that he'd get his hand chopped off by the blade 'that's too fast for you to see."
So lemme get this straight... Dyson came out with these fans which probably cost about $10 to make, sell them for $350, and use chewed gum for a prop in their promo videos?
@makaveli7hadon I doubt it took them that long to develop this... It uses what's called an "annular jet", a technology developed around 1955 for the first hovercraft.
Marketing, sure the add with the balloon is kind of cool... but seriously, chewed gum for weights? that's the easy way... if Dyson wanted to take the easy way, why didn't they just make a regular fan?
@TheWupperdo Just because the technology has been around doesn't mean it's easy to develop. Trust me, I worked as an engineer for a company that manufactures air knives, which is exactly this. Our used compressed air. For dyson to made a fan that gets enough compression to use a coanda profile and entrain air is remarkable. Don't scoff at something you couldn't do yourself.
genius! why haven't i thought of it! making a fan with no blades.. its cool, modern, safe, and most of all can be used for entertainment. sure you can put your hand through it, but lets advertise us making an obstacle course out of them so we can sell a billion alone to one person!
