@lovesGenet This is better that the Cabs at that time. Admittedly I am biased; John Byrne is my cousin and yes, I am very proud of his involvement with Cindytalk. I remember he sent me a taped copy (naughty boy John!) not that long after its release and thinking; what on earth is this!? It took me many years before I finally 'got" it, but I really think the Camouflage Heart LP is a criminally overlooked, disturbing, distorted, alternative classic.
I knew Gordon Sharp for his works for TMC and Cocteau twins but never made the effort to listen of more from his works. Recently got two first albums and it is an interesting suff but SCARY shit. Especially when walking through the forest after 23:00 as i did yesterday 8o
also I did not know this version. Just remembered when I send a letter to Midnight Music to find out whether Cindy Talk has recorded anything else but Camouflage Heart (the LP) and a month later Gordon Sharp called me in Germany. We had a fascinating phone talk for 2 hours (fascinating for me first of all, since at the times my English was deplorable and we could somehow still communicate :))... whatever!
this version rules. how do i get a copy of this?

Deliciously brooding. You will be hard pressed to find the right balance elsewhere. One day...

You have to work at it, but it's worth the effort. Intense and uncompromising. I love this album.

Cindy, it's too bad you don't have old footage of live shows to make a video out of for these? Well I wish it were so, anyways.
