  • I racked up 6981.5 hours as a C-5 FE out at Travis. I got my money's worth, believe me!.

  • @IdolHans

    Thank you for your service.

  • THE GOOD DAYS!

  • the sound hasnt changed a bit!

(until sadly the engines were made quieter to some extenct)

  • actually the c 141 is being replaced by c 17 there is no way on heck that the c 17 is replacing the c5. why? thec5 isway larger in fact there still producing the c5 btw great vid

  • The last new airframe for the C-5 rolled off the assembly line in Apri 1989.

I believe you are including the C-5M (M for Modernization) which is an upgrade program to existing C-5's. Both are outstanding heavy lifters, each with unique capabilities.

  • They haven't built a new C-5 since the 80's

  • c 5 i mean..

  • There are over 100 C-5's currently in service at about half dozen AFB's. The C-5 will continue to provide heavy lift capabilities to the USAF for some time to come.

  • so theres no more c 17 school houses??

  • i remember hearing those engines while i was stationed in Japan.

  • Awesome aircraft! You definitely know it's a C-5 when you hear those engines!
