Such adulterous union was cursed here on the earth And in eternity. One priest foretold the sad outcome of their illicit affair. The Priest told the king That dogs would lick his blood, as it happened to evil king Achab in the Old Testament. And the prophecy was exactly fulfilled. After king's death, at night his coffin broke and some blood and fluid came out of the king's body. In the morning some of the soldiers saw two dogs licking king's blood.
If I could go back in history Anne would be one of the few I'd love to meet. I know she was far from a saint but her ambition is quite admiriable :) Great video!
i am a direct descendant of the man who wiped HENRY VIII's arse.
for many hundreds of years a small oval piece of henry's shit has been passed down from generation to generation. i myself kept this priceless memento in a small silver casket in my writing bureau.
unfortunately my 4 year old daughter ,thinking it was a chocolate, ate it.
Do you all think that Thomas Cromwell twisted Jane's words into a statement he wanted,and/or threatened her,so the executions would take place as he wanted?
or
Do you think Anne's sister-in-law was jealous, and wanted to see Anne executed? Some people have hinted that she was jealous.OPINIONS?
on my mother's side. i forget how, but obviously, through Mary Boleyn's children (who had about 15 kids each) my family and many other families are decended.
that's interesting. I was raised in an extreme fundy environment and the religion condemned the most was the catholics- we were told that catholics were out to get us and all that and that they preached intolerance, etc.- funny- I didn't realise how intolerant MY branch of Protestantism that I grew up in was till I left it(they told me I'd go to hell for listening to secular music) Funny thing is, the longer I'm away from them, the more attracted I am to Catholocism!
that's true. I like Catholocism better than what I grew up with because there's so many Catholics that there's a wide range of opinions among them- liberals, super libreals, moderates, conservatives, the really conservatives, nuns, monks, etc- the denomination I was it- well, no secular music or movies was part of the doctrine- or at least, that's what they taught me as a kid- they said it would lead to the occult- and no alcohol either- not even at communion.
I liked Anne Boleyn, she tried hard to settle the relationship between her & Mary but Mary's point of view and personal-rebellion against Anne can only be understood because 1) she's Catholic (she was princess to Catholics) and 2) the strength & determination of Katherine of Aragon. She tried so hard for Henry to gain a son but the first was lost due to pressure from Henry (he opted to stay with her instead of go to Calais) and 2nd due to the death of Katherine of Aragon. What if they'd lived?
she didnt ry hard to settle her relationship between her and mary! she was horrible to her! everytime she claimed she was a princess anne had soeone hit her! she forced mary to work as a lady in waiting to HER daughter i could go on...
don't know if your from the uk but there was a programme bout a famous rower who turned out to be descendend from the howard family, and they in turn were descended from edward the first... chances are you come from royalty!
omg that is soo cool I cannot believe that you are realted to her. I found some essay paper that this guy wrote about how he is desended from Mary Boleyn. Cool video I love Anne Boleyn.
that last painting is the only one I haven't seen before Do you anything about it? Its weird seeing her in the Gable hood when she made the French Hood popular
& Queen Elizabeth there are some cool branches on your family tree I havent checked mine i doubt it leads back to old English nobility I had a teacher (EVIL) who was descended from the Stuarts
My sentiments exactly. I've been learning more about Henry VIII, and the way he treated all 6 of his wives (including his daughters), is absolutely despicable. I don't care if he was the king of England; that gave him no right to heartlessly toss one wife aside like garbage, behead an innocent because she failed to produce a male heir, annul another marriage and prevent her from returning to her native country, behead yet another. What a pig-literally and figuratively!!
Catherine Parr wasn't treated very well either, and after he married Jane Seymour, he saw two of her ladies and said he was sorry he hadn't seen them before he was married.
Really? I thought he loved her. Course, he could of just loved that she finally gave him a son. The only thing that really mattered to him besides the lust of the flesh.
I truly think he didn't treat ANY of his wives very well. I know all of them could of had much better.
I am a direct descendant of Henry VII through his daughter Margaret, I absolutely love my distant relative Anne!!!!!!

I think once Anne realized how deep she was in it was just too late. Then when she couldn't give birth to a son she knew she was doomed.

Different religions believe in different things. I believe in the Virgin Mary and the Church of Rome, but I also study other religions.

This is such a sad video. I feel bad for all of Henry's Queens there fates were all so sad. except Anne of Cleves She had pretty much a happy ending.

Jane Seymour may have gotten a better deal than she thought. Imagine Henry turning on her AFTER she'd had a son!
