I dunno if it's the recording or not, but sounds out of tune to me in some parts, like at "beach." And definitely agree that you should stand up! :) But great! And as someone already mentioned, thank you SO much for not having ubervibratto. So distracting and annoying :)
ah these are my people, i love eric whitacre, but my fav son is sleep, i actualy just herd of this song a little wihle ago, but its freakin great, i realy like the vid, grate voice ;)
Stand up! you'll never have as much control even slightly hunched, let alone sitting hunched! - I'm just saying what my teacher would say, nice voice nevertheless.
you did a good job.... my fav song is animal cracker 1 and 2 by whitacre.. theres 1 part where you went a half step high than the note but over all good job
you have a beautiful tonal quality to your voice. One piece of advice, try not moving the mouth so much on the vowels...it becomes easier to hit the notes with sharpness without bending the pitch. just think of a lser beam and dont move the mouth to the sides as you would when you smile....
Truthfully I thought you were going to sound horrible, but I listened, and i thought you did a very good job. Kudos! Keep up the good work!! Maybe you can do the full song some time? That would be absolutely lovely Im sure (:
very beautiful tone, maybe a bit more dictation in your words but still very good. Don't be so down, no one has a choir at their disposal and Im sure you have great friends, if not I will be one :D
Jeez. I can think of a lot of college choruses and a cappella groups that would LOVE to have a soprano with a) such confidence in her high register, and b) such little VIBRATO in her high register. Why aren't you off making a name for yourself out there? =)
Well, that depends on your goal. If you're going to be a soloist, then, yes, you want your voice to have as much "personality" (vibrato, vowels, growl, etc) as possible. If you want to be a chorister, on the other hand, you need to be able to blend, and for that you need as clear and transparent a voice as possible--which is exactly what God gave you. And that's why choruses and a cappella groups would love you. =)
If you want to be a soloist or in a band, then, yes, you want as much color and flavor and "personality" in your voice as possible.
If, on the other hand, you want to be in a choir that sings Eric Whitacre, then you need to be able to blend--which requires as LITTLE personality in your voice as possible. And where most people have to work at it, you just have it naturally. =)
@xoclkox Depends! Not so much in choirs as in opera and oratorios. It's harder to get blending with masses of vibrato in the high register. I sadly have a lot of vibrato in mine, but it's fine because I can control it and want to sing opera. :]
@xoclkox I know this is like SUPER late considering this comment was made 2 YEARS ago, lol. But, in solo singing, lots of vibrato is awesome! But in choirs/ensembles, it's better to have less vibrato, because it's much easier to blend :) beautiful voice
omj that was sooo great you are sooo amazing i should be doing my homework oh well i enjoy watching you more lol
p.s. first veiw and first comment lol i'm excited haha again i freakin love it i have never heard of him but i will look him up and listen to him he is probably really really good since you listen to him lol you have good tatse in music and an awesome voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait...I'm confused. It's good to have little virbrato in a high register???
...I thought people wanted lots of virbrato when singing in their falsetto!
