mono, not bad though. I almost bought another similar camera by Sony that had stereo microphone...but they were about an inch apart so it really doesn't make that big of a difference

20 years of baseball left me with a shoulder that dislocates whenever it feels like it, and another shoulder with a rotator cuff that doesn't allow me to hold my hand above my head without my fingers going numb. So I had to switch back and forth. Just bad luck that night.
