I like this video because my hair is the same way. It will never be bone straight either. I just recently started my hair journey and I really like finding people with similar hair texture to mine
do you think braiding is too hard on relaxed hair? I wanted to do updos for protective hairstyles & some of them had a bit of braiding. (not cornrows, just regular braiding) btw, would french-braiding put too much stress on my hair? -Thanks
@mizzstar21 I think braids are fine, as long as they are not tight. If you decide to use synthetic hair/human hair make sure it's soft hair and not the cheap hard fake hair b/c that can rub against your hair and cause it to break. Also try not to leave your braids in for too long.
Heyyyyy! We have similar textures my hair never looks bone straight when its wet exept my ends but the rest always has a wavy pattern to it. and I love coconut oil to I use it to m/s
Thanks for the info on the oils. I recently mixed shea butter, unrefined coconut oil, argan oil and touch of leave in to a mix for my natural daughters, but I am really loving on my relaxed hair..I put it on after my s curl moisturizer, put my hair into 2 braids and in the morning my hair felt so good, it was one of those "keep your hands out of your hair days!" loved it. So thanks for letting us know they are great and penetrating oils.
You say that you don't relax bone straight bt wherever your hair is in a straight style it's like a perfect straight and you have tons of body and move in your hair. How do you do this? do you use heat? Is it particular products? Wat is it???
I really want to know who made up this "texlaxed" term. Relaxers are meant to loosen the curl pattern not make it bone straight, alot of people get that mixed up, it's normal to have texture in your hair with a relaxer, some people prefer their relaxed hair to be straighter though and that is fine, but this "texlaxed" term is nonsense.
@sharmaine.. luv your vids.. too inform u hun.. EXTRA VIRGIN COCONUT OIL is the best to get... food for thought ma.. doesn't matter what name brand as long its PURE VIRGIN COCONUT OIL.. HHJ...
This is just like me I did a corrective as you know after a 14 month stretch its still curly n puffy so im gonna say im texlax now. Its a 10 is the buisness. Isnt argan oil penetrating too? Idk but this is wat im gonna do only use oils that penetrate, sorry im rambling nice to c u again
It is a great idea to never relax bone straight because the hair gradually loses elasticity and starts to break easily, Your hair looks great as usual!
Hey you the hair is looking great i just wanted to know about heat damage how do you know if you have it and is there anything you can do to treat it instead of having to cut it thanks for the videos and all of the information you give it helps a lot have blessed day.
Correct me if im wrong..but wen u did ur corrective relaxer u looked bone striaght..is ur hair showing texture cause u now x weeks post? Either way i think it looks gud cause u got allota hair...
@BeckssFashionista Hey :) A corrective relaxer is done to correct any underprocess parts of the hair, it can be risky going over already relaxed hair. I chose to do it because at that time my hair was seriously crazy with different textures that could've possibly lead to breakage. I'm happy I did it, but never again!

Good video. I've been using coconut oil for about 3 months and I love it. I use it as a sealant over my moisturizer
