I feel very lucky that I got a chance to get a hand on a legitimate copy of the Rose of Versailles DVD box sets Region 1 in Canada. Many north American fans who love this anime don't know there's a company called Imavision (you can check their info on the English wikipedia website) which released this anime under another title called "Lady Oscar" on Amazon US and Canada marketplaces prior 2011. It got both French and Japanese dub only, but still a legal copy from Region 1.

I loved this anime when I was a kid (it started my love for Japan), but over the years I have come to understand that what made me like the series -besides the story- was the French Revolution itself, everytime I found or see a documentary, article, book or a special about the french revolution I either watch it or read it, it's just that the whole situation it's incredible, the poors rebeled against the privileged and the monarchy, then everything went out of control for 10 years, it's amazing.

I watched this anime 20 years ago. Luckily I found this amazing anime on youtube and it is still touch my heart. I have a very strong feeling about Oscar and Andre, I don't feel like watching anime. I feel very sad about the ending but at lease they are together in the heaven, no need to suffer to live the memory for the rest of his/her life. I love them so much!
