  • Bjorn's kind of an idiot. Why cant he just combine the two? Do a carbon tax and use the revenue for R and D. He acts like climate change is an issue that we can start addressing 25 years down the road when we have hit the efficiency that we can start implementing renewables. Then again, he is a useful voice in the public sphere because his policies are actually politically feasible.

"Do a carbon tax and use the revenue for R and D."

I think thats what he is looking for. Instead of putting the money into very inefficient technology's, invest most to r&d. This way we can have better results sooner.

  • @Uhmu45 Yeah but he made specific statements in this implying that he was against a carbon tax.

  • @ansigs

    True.

  • Today solar & wind power are more efficent because of all the R&D that went into putting thousends of those facilities up.

The idea that starting the implementation of renewable energy sources would be negative or pre-mature is standard anti-renewable propaganda.

Not really surprising for CNN though....

  • @Zoidode

Actually he is not arguing that :P

  • Full CNN Propaganda

Oh this is the same anchor that was advising Obama on Mid east policies and then came on air and defended Obamas "clear eyed approach to mid east" -_-
