The big banks made your home worth 40% less, so most people lost all their equity which is all most people have. Then you lose your job and your credit and the banks take your home. So on a $200,000 home ,the banks first stole $80,000 from you, then takes your home, you wonder who who the criminal is- the home owner that destroys it or the banks that stole from everyone

On the front end your mortgage the payments are mostly interest. The banks have gotten most of their money back in interest alone in the first 10 or so years.

These people are just trying to make it even, all the banks are concerned about is the money. The banks pocket taxpayer money, keep all the interest, then kick you out.

I'd do the same thing if a realtor and/or a bank took advantage of me. You realtors were cheer leading during this bubble with no regard for the people you suckered into buying these homes at ridiculous prices. I know two wrongs don't make a right, but I would feel as if revenge were due, so I think I'd do the same thing. For the record, I never owned my own home, only rented through this mess.

I'm not saying it's right, but I'm a homeowner, and those renovations are things an owner had to buy like computers or TV's. So, they consider it their property and don't want to leave it behind for the bank to profit from. Homeowners typically see "renovations" as an investment that they get back later, but if you're not getting it back, take it with you.

To me that's one thing, but graffiti, huge holes in walls, garbage in walls, etc. is not justifiable.
