Nvr seen this film before, stumbled upon this quite by accident while I was researching Trini Alvarado's work other than Little Women. I'm nt sure why, bt watching them together moved me so much, I cried.
Perhaps it harks back to the innocence of youth, love & a time when the world is a lot less complicated. I happen to think it's far more touching than many so-called 'indie' films of today.

the REAL times square i knew in 1970s was winos laying on the pavement, a guy urinating on sidewalk in broad daylite, whores asking to sit next to you in movie theaters,pimps, and underage hookers. And, the ny papers would have articles of teen hookers found dead, with their boobs cut off for not making enough money, or meeting some psycho customer.

Saw the film in May 1980. Found the soundtrack, double LP in 1984. Amazing music!

Trini has a small part in "Little Children"(2006).This movie had some Oscar's nominations this year.

It is a good film about friendship. It is rated R for language and brief nudity.
