You do realize how many people were injured by these two right? EMS has to prioritze in a case like this....citizens/police/fie/ems get treated first, suspects last. There are only so many paramedics to go around, ambulance crew mostly only transport and monitor not treat. When you declare war against society by shooting that many rounds at the cops, I'm not surprised the cops refused Matasareanu medical attention and let him bleed to death. I watched it on TV and I knew when it happened that the cops were going to let him die. It looked pretty obvious. Matasareanu would've been better off to just end it himself the way the Phillips did.

An hour for a wounded suspect to bleed out is an act of vengeance, which these officers were not trained for. They were not on alert seeking a third gunman. Medical treatment to the wounded is manditory response and they failed without remorse. You do realize how many people were injured by these two right? EMS has to prioritze in a case like this....citizens/police/fie/ems get treated first, suspects last. There are only so many paramedics to go around, ambulance crew mostly only transport and monitor not treat. They clearly allowed him to lay there and die. Any honorable officer knows that what happened here was wrong and can't say with a clear conscience that this was standard procedure. They were not on alert seeking a third gunman. Medical treatment to the wounded is manditory response and they failed without remorse. @ M14Mann A beretta 92 and a Rem 870 did not penetrate the body armor these two psychos had on. It was a ton of under armed cops versus two guys with full Cat IV armor/plates and fully auto weapons. The cops didn't have a chance against them. They needed SWAT, and they got it. There was no uniformed street cop that could've gone rambo and stuck their neck out to kill these guys.

as an army medic, we are taught and trained to provide medical care for enemy casualtys of war as long as they are no longer a threat. emil was no longer a threat and he should have been treated by paramedics on the scene. im not defending the suspects or what they did, but when im in iraq or afghanistan and we happen to injure a insurgent im going to have to treat his injurys even though he tried to kill me.
