  • I really love almost every video you put out. I feel so fucking informed, and I just continue to make better choices. I LOVE IT.

  • Hey, not bad video here I actualy liked it :) /watch?v=9QpzdK7wdYY expert talking about body weight on fox news

  • *PAUSE* Worst Diet Advice Ever! I haven't seen this other youtube channel but anyone that says you can eat a nutrient poor junk food containing excess salt and artificial sugar such as a Snickers bar should NOT be giving weight loss advice.

  • Pull down your shirt more, and want to see your cleavage.

  • Very good video.

  • What you eat is way more important! Because what you eat also contributes to how much you eat!

  • you make so much sence! helps me feed my kids better!

  • I suggest Bulimia. Eat as much as you want & what you want & you don't have to buy dog food anymore for your dog(s).

  • It really comes down to HOW MUCH you eat. Yes, its unhealthy to eat junk food, but you can eat junk food and limit calories- and yes, you will lose weight! Junk food, however, (such as fast food), usually has a lot more calories than "healthy" food. So all in all, its easier to limit calories by filling up on healthier food choices. Fruit sugar is better than refined sugars, etc.

  • @VASINGER That is really not right. And that's a bad way of thinking about food.

  • @lightoftheworld19 Um, Ive lost over 80 lbs simply by counting calories and eating less. Also healthier food has less calories, but I allow junk food on Sundays. The body can handle a tiny bit of it, it doesnt hurt it . Its when you eat the bulk of your diet like that it becomes a problem. But its really about how many calories you eat. You could lose weight eating junk food if its the right amount of calories. Im not recommending it, though.

  • @VASINGER I still do not agree with that. Everyone's body works differently, one diet may work for one or some but not for all. I didn't say junk food should not be in a diet but it should not be looked at as THE diet. Having a 80/20 or 90/10 diet makes sense because it gives a person leeway to "cheat" as they would think of it but they don't have to feel guilty. Eating w/e you want is what causes sickness & the diseases Americans have, it's not worth it. A nutritionist would agree.

  • @lightoftheworld19 i know and i dont eat junk food for most of my diet anymore. But it is true that a person could lose weight by eating not many calories- even on junk food. But they would not get the proper nutrition.

  • @VASINGER It is true, definitely. But it's mainly dietitians that would say counting calories is the way to go, not health coaches like I am or some nutritionists. It's just not the healthiest or best way to do it ya know? That's the point I was trying to make. I know a lot of ppl my age that worry themselves about every calorie instead of just enjoying food. Food is meant to be enjoyed, not stressed over :)

  • Good information.

  • I wanna gain weight.. I'm so fucking tired of encountering LOSING WEIGHT TIPS, like fuck. Is it that hard to just shove carrots like you shove fat sausage links into your fat face?

  • if what you say is true explain me I have always liked my veggies but I dont eat alot I feel full fast and stay full for few hours yet I'm still a little over weight I know Im defintly burning more calories then I take in explain?

  • I don't quite understand.By this logic wouldn't a vitamin/mineral supplement curb your appetite then?

  • @SEAWEEDRAVEN That's a great conclusion from what I've stated, but our bodies need so many different macro and micro nutrients that you'd probably have to take several different vitamin supplements before your hunger curbed.

Eating nutritionally dense foods (whole grains, fruits/veggies) will fill you up faster and longer than processed/refined foods (most white bread, sugar, soda, etc.) A 1200 calorie meal of whole foods will fill you up more than an 1800 calorie meal from McD's.

  • STEVE TURANO IS A FAT MIDGET (SORRY MIDGET'S)

  • STEVE IS A JACKASS PERIOD

  • Your so hot

  • My husband and I have been implementing our lifestyle change since November and I am losing a little more than pound a week. We are only drinking water and raw teas as well as eating only whole grains, fresh vegetables, plain low fat yogurt, high fiber nutrient rich fruits, etc. No processed foods whatsoever and I make from scratch all of our tortillas and dry beans. We exercise 5 times a week. Thank you for emphasizing that it is a life style change and not simply a 'diet'.

  • @GoddessAntares Wow you truly are a Goddess, way to go! I wish you the best luck and hope you'll keep us updated on your progress.

  • @GoddessAntares Goddess? More like a Dumbass.

  • @TheGenuineChristian I have never seen a more true Christan. Thank you for demonstrating the hatred of the Christian faith. I know you'll be happier once you break the chains of religious bondage. Don't be upset at me, bet upset with your ignorance and hate. Love be with you.

  • @GoddessAntares No thanks, I don't want your idolatrous love. You're a stupid person (claiming to be a Goddess) who shall burn in the Lake of Fire.

  • By the way .... you're getting fat.you have to eat natural foods ... fruit, vegetables and cereals.

  • @ganda1970 Corrina is a vegetarian for the most part and almost exclusively eats wholes foods. I have seen her occasionally eat flour tortillas. She eats a lot of kale and avocados and often shops the farmers market.

Her BMI is perfect for her height by the way and she is medically at what would be considered an ideal weight for her age.

The anorexic fashion model and Hollywood starlet are not the ideal of healthy.

  • @psychetruth

Thanks for pointing that out about Corrina's BMI, etc.

Even though I hope ganda1970 was just kidding, your response was certainly warranted.

Corrina does look perfect to me, but I'm still not a proponent of veganism.

    Cheers!

  • Cheers for uploading this video. This explains a lot for me.

  • Hi psychetruth

Can u translate all of your video to other languages

coz it's great , purposive and helpful

    thank u

  • Hey psychtruth. Just wanted to say I been watching you guys videos for awhile and I'm a fan of you guys. I also wanted to mention to you guys about this youtube channel twin muscle workout where these guys explain their veiw on weight loss. It mostly a body building channel but they explain ,like Steve Turano, what role food plays. I think you guys should check them out.

  • I wonder if cannibals are better off cooking humans before eating them....

You mention fattening up farm animals...I heard human waste containing prescription drugs is leeching into aquatic life. Is there any way to prove or disprove this?

  • @jerseystitch

Eating people is always bad. It ends up giving you a brain disorder similar to mad cow disease (which is subsequently the cause of that disease in bovines. They ground up the fallen and fed it to the rest). I do not recommend it.

  • @jerseystitch Yes, this has been proven. They simply test the rivers where treated waste water is emptied.

We have a video about this called "Prozac in the water supply".

  • Very good video! Thanks!

  • I've been eating healthy food lately but I still crave junk food and I give into the cravings every few days.

  • @juliecranford Great job on making healthy choices. It is difficult to resist cravings (as we discussed in the video "Fast Food Addiction"), but just do your best. Over time, the cravings will become less intense and eventually your body will crave the healthy foods more than the junk. Best of luck to you!!!

  • omg u just helped me sooo much, thank you.

  • be that empty calories are the same way? Your body retains nutrients that it isn't getting enough of? I know the question may sound silly at first glance, but is it maybe that overweight people are starving? Not in a lack of food consumption way, but a lack of nutrient consumption? I've seen pictures of a lady so fat that she was driving her electronic scooter through the drive through at Mcdonalds. I bet her doctor didn't even think to tell her to eat more fruits and exercise.

  • @lnsertCleverName Yes, the video goes on to explain that an overweight body is starving for nutrients. I think most doctors do recommend dietary/lifestyle changes to their patients, but most patients choose to take a pill instead. Or don't fully understand how important those changes are to their quality of life and lifespan. Empty calories (from refined carbs, sugar, soda, etc.) turn immediately into fat. Your body will hang on to it until you burn it off with exercise. Good luck to you!!

  • @psychetruth How do you feel about short term fasting? For maybe a few days to a week? Weight loss being a secondary goal, I have been doing research and the non-pharmacy vendor doctors seem to say that it has some good health benefits like detoxifying the body, and giving your digestive tract time to rest. I'm still drinking water and staying hydrated, and doing nothing strenuous that might make me keel over or anything. I'm feeling pretty confident about it so far.

  • @lnsertCleverName Corrina did a video last week about fasting and cleansing but we haven't uploaded it yet. It's coming soon.

  • @psychetruth I'm paused at 4:27, so forgive me if you touch base on this further. Concerning nutritional deficiencies, I've often had thoughts on that. I am overweight myself. I don't really over eat, I might eat two meals a day. However, I will admit that I don't really eat a lot of the good stuff. Soda is my main vice. I'm sure I could lose some weight if I quit drinking soda alone. I'm often told that soda dehydrates you, and causes your body to retain water. That having been said, could it

  • @lnsertCleverName We have a bunch of videos discussing soda. type "soda @psychetruth" in a YouTube search. The "@psychetruth" will return only our videos.

The video "mind control in a can" and "soft drink challenge" discusses the dehydration factor.

See the video, "Why People Get Fat. Obesity & Weight Gain, Psychetruth Nutrition, Diet & Food Corrina" for a full understand of how soda pop causes people to gain weight.

  • Google "The Fat Trap" by Tara Parker-Pope. It was published in the New York Times at the end of December.

    It is VERY illuminating.

Essentially, the metabolism of someone who loses 20 lbs. from 180 to 160 *works differently now* than it did when it was originally 160, and then gained to 180 (if they have maintained 180 for over a year or longer). Their body now metabolically defends what it has grown to regard as its new "normal" weight...it fights to regain lost weight it has acclimated to.

  • @belaghoulashi

For example, your body will burn fewer calories for the same amount of exercise after losing 20 pounds from 180 than it originally burned when 160 was your "normal" weight. It is no longer the same 160, it has changed. It works differently now. Once your body has "learned" that 180 is your normal weight, it will metabolically strive to return to that level, regardless of your conscious intention.

  • @belaghoulashi

This is an evolutionary adaptation. Our bodies learned to do this long, long before our modern minds ever conceived the idea of dieting or intentionally losing weight.

The very best way to lose a lot of weight is to never gain it in the first place, or to lose within just a few months of gaining it, before your body comes to recognize it and adjust to it as normal.

  • @belaghoulashi

We always, always, always forget, in popular culture, in media-driven culture, that we are animals and our bodies are the result of a long, long process of development, tens of thousands of years and longer.

We literally were not born yesterday.

Everything we are stands on what came before us.

  • I'm amazed by the apparent need to make the same video and explain the samethings over and over... Why do diets fail? Why do people keep gaining weight? BECAUSE THEY DON'T FUCKING LISTEN!!!

  • @nitoro81 Corrina and I were discussing this the other day.

    1) All subjects will reduce down too one to two dozen basic pieces of information. It doesn't matter if it's photography, chess or weight loss.

    2) Once people hear these basic ideas several times, they become "common knowledge". In PR they call this "dinging" it in.

    3) Good education is taking the true basic datums of a subject and relating them to different applicable things and showing people how they can be applied.

  • @psychetruth

All that is very interesting. Is there any chance that you delve into these topic in an upcoming video? Or more probably you already did and I missed it :P

  • Grear info. What is your thoughts on shakeology?

  • I dont know how effectiv or scientific they are but when its diet people only concentrate on calories and what they eat but imo there are easy methods which can limit how much we eat during a meal. Some of you can think its funny but just give it a try and see how much you can eat while you are sitting on the floor at home. I usually eat more when Im on table and for daytime try a corset people chain their stomachs with operation but never try such easy methods till things get too bad for them.

  • @iskdude57 Sounds like you are feeling sorry for yourself. Your whole life isn't ruined...you can create who you want to be.

  • Thanks for the video, better diet, better mind better you (that's what i tell people anyway). Monday is vegy day

  • protein shakes and fatty acids are also the answer. research dr ben fuchs

  • very good.

  • so all the american aboriginals had deficiency of nutrients, cause they could not travel around the world looking for all different nutrients that according to this corrupt society are necesary for health....

  • @brucenash the "American aboriginals" were not nutrient deficient because they ate food from the earth and had naturally clean water. the processed "foods" that line our grocery store shelves and fast food are devoid of nutrition.

  • @brucenash We even mentioned in the video that populations which it a natural indigenous diet have low obesity rates. "Indigenous" means "originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native" i.e. local foods. They also have low tooth decay.

  • Absolutely right!

Unfortunately, just watched a CNN video about “how to loose weight...” - same story about counting calories...

The problem is that most people get their info from mainstream media, sponsored either by the food companies or the governments.

  • Corrina is so charming :D

  • Okie I watched the video. Great video I love you Corrina but eh I'm going to stick with Steve on weight loss advice. I don't think anyone should be nutrient deficient unless all there calories are coming from processed candies. lol Even so a good multi-vita would make up for most of that. Thanks alot :)

  • @Southsidejoshua that's really not true at all.

  • @lightoftheworld19 How is it not true?

  • @Southsidejoshua There is no way a multi-vitamin can make up for EVERY nutrient and mineral missing. How does that make sense? We need lots of both of those, and depending on the type of multi being consumed our bodies can't even absorb all of the vitamins in the pill. Maybe I'm just confused by what you're trying to say. To me it sounds like you're saying eating processed crap mostly & just taking a multi will make up for that, that's not true.

  • @lightoftheworld19 Well, there kinda is a multi-vitamin that can.Look up Natures Way Alive multi-vitamin. I take that one. It has everything in it.

We don't need 1000s of % of vitamins.

I rarely eat any fruits or vegetables and I'm in great shape, running 7minute miles and lifting the 90 pounds dumbbells. I don't have a deficiency in anything. Sometimes supplements can make up for bad eating habits. hehe hope that helps.

  • @Southsidejoshua I've heard of supplements that can do that, I'm just skeptical. I want to believe it, but my mindset is, why take supplements when you can have the real thing? I don't want to go and change everyone's minds but...i kind of do. lol. I mean I know we only need small percentages so I just eat the food. Everyone does their own thing though, and if they're healthy and not deficient then...I concede, thanks for the tid bit, I WILL look it up :)

  • @lightoftheworld19 Awesome. I agree the real thing is best! But supplements are just as good when you can't get the real thing. I don't know where I could find a milk thistle plant to chew on around here. So I take it in a capsule. Same goes for chlorella spirulina and astaxanthin. So I take them as supplements. hehe. Keep doing your thang and stay healthy my friend! :)

  • @Southsidejoshua And with that I agree, it's true we can't get our hands on everything. Best to your health too!!

  • haha, I sent an email about Steve Turano. Hell yeah Steve has the best advice on youtube!!! His youtube channel is BodyperformanceTV.

  • okay I'm actually done watching the video! I love how you put the links to your other videos super fab!!!

  • Great info pretty lady!! thank you!!!!

  • eat less exercise more. what exactly is hard to understand? obesity in america (imho) has more to do with laziness and stupidity than any physical illness. fresh, good quality, living food TASTES BETTER than chemicals/preservatives/junk. and exercise relieves stress/makes people HAPPIER (better than prozac in some studies). so if thats enough to motivate people, just get used to being fat. and btw- if u think swapping a big mac for a grilled chicken at mcd's is good, ur doing it wrong. dumbass

  • Thank you. Ive been steadily gaining weight to the point I feel uncomfortable, And I never understood why, since I don't think I eat that much. This got me thinking that perhaps its WHAT I eat that has created the weight gain, even If I "think" Im not eating THAT much to be THIS fat.

  • thank you for your posts..

  • wow

  • 4:20 this is ridiculous. Nobody consuming 5,000+ calories a day is nutrient deficient. There just truly isn't that much vitamin-free food out there. This video is bunk. The reason why people get cravings is because we biologically evolved through milleniums of famine, and it's the same reason why our bodies store fat so easily. This is the first time in human history that we've had so much food, so our body is craving it rabidly, and at the same time, is trying to preserve it as long as it can.

  • @M1thotyn

Are you sure about that ?

I just recently saw an experiment on tv, with people living exclusively from raw vegeteables.

The result was, that our bodies arent used to it anymore and no matter how much you eat, you're still hungry, because your body cannot get enough out of it.

That's propably the same/similar reason, why cows &co are permanently eating.

  • @CloneWarrior001 Maybe you missed my point. Doesn't matter if you're always eating. Athletes eat damn near all day long. If you exercise intensely, your metabolism will be high. If you're in good enough shape to run a marathon, you can eat party pizzas all day long and never get fat.

  • @M1thotyn Professional athletes are extremely careful about what they eat and usually are on a supplement regiment as well.

No professional athlete eats party pizzas all day.

Most professional athletes probably never even touch junk foods, fast foods or soda.

Take Lance Armstrong for example he is a foody and his website is full of nutrition information.

  • @CloneWarrior001 The bulk fiber in raw fruits and veggies makes it difficult to get enough protein and calories. This is why vegetarians incorporate nuts, beans, lentils, soy, etc. into their diets.

This also why people juice. By removing all the bulk fiber you can get a super packed nutrient dense juice.

Nothing wrong with eating tons of fruits and veggies they are generally micro-nutrient rich but not calorie dense.

  • The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2003-2006 reviewed the average intake of 19 micronutrients in 16,110 people has found that a large portion of the population consistently fails to meet even the minimal intakes recommended in the Dietary Reference Intake (DRI) for many key nutrients including key vitamins such as vitamin A and K and important minerals such as calcium and magnesium.

  • @M1thotyn

Exactly. See my posts here on the same issue.

Our bodies have their own agenda, regardless of popular culture.

See "The Fat Trap", NY Times, 12/28/2011, Tara Parker-Pope.

  • I'm at 2:20 and this isn't go anywhere. Just say exercise. The more you exercise, the more calories your burn. Look at professional athletes, especially runners and NBA players, they eat whatever they want all day long. They eat bags of cookies like they're baby carrots and they're under 5% bodyfat. They can also run marathons and that's why. And it truly has nothing to do with genetics. Anybody who could run marathons would have that same metabolism, even if they had been fat their whole life.

  • @M1thotyn Now you are being ridiculous. All professional athletes have extremely strict dietary habits including supplementation. The NBA even has official dietary guidelines for it's athletes and the teams will have full time nutritional consultants.

You might see an NBA guy eat a bag of cookies but you didn't see all the other stuff ate.

I think it's funny that McDonald's and Coca Cola sponsor the Olympics when most of the athletes would never touch the stuff.

  • @M1thotyn

"Anybody who could run marathons would have that same metabolism, even if they had been fat their whole life."

You're wrong. You're just wrong. Nobody burns calories at the exactly the same rate, especially not if they have been fat all their life. Their bodies will NEVER metabolize the same way as an athlete who was never fat.

Reality just doesn't work that way.

Open your eyes and look...this is why we are even discussing this issue.

  • This video hits the subject matter right on, I really hope this helps as many ppl as possible!

Thanks for the video Corrina! =D

  • what about those that are getting fat because of a lack of appetite? I don't eat a whole bunch of junk food or unhealthy foods, but i don't eat often because i don't feel any hunger. so i end up eating only once a day at breakfast

  • Great info - I hate the word diet as it applies to weight loss - I prefer healthy eating or healthy lifestyle as everyone is on a diet - I agree 100% it matters what you eat - you can't eat fast food and junk food and expect to lose weight or be healthy.

  • Fantastic

  • This video touched on one of the problems that I think gets lost in our talk of diets and obesity. We become such calorie counters and yo-yo dieters and maybe even fitness freaks that we forget to enjoy our food while we're eating it. We've been programmed to believe that food is the enemy, but it's really not. It can be an ally if we treat it like one.

  • @benvolio15 So true! I'm really glad someone else realized that and said it

  • Psychiechickie reminds me of the girl from Napoleon Dynamite. Napoleon's friend, the photographer.

  • Great video. I personally think that it matters what you eat. I'd rather have a salad and a big sandwich thats really healthy than a snickers bar. Why waste your calories and fat on something thats not nutritious and doesnt make you full?

  • I think your videoes are my fav on youtube!!! gr8 job again corrina!!! keep it coming :)...we love it :)

  • Comment removed

  • @ukwingchunstudent Steve Turano is his name.

  • I wonder if this applies to sexuality or maybe even relationship.... casual sex? is like dieting from relationships?

  • I watched this video while eating fried chicken and chips and a pizza.

  • @ukwingchunstudent omg.lol

  • i love your weight loss videos they very interesting and make me see things from a different point of view. are you a certified nutritionist?

  • Dairy, Meat, refined Sugar and Gluten are drugs

  • Corrina, you're beautiful! Oh, and what an information-dense video, I have to share this with my friends, thank you! :)

  • Cause of obesity epidemic = animal protein

  • @joe60606 People having been eating animals for centuries. How can something that's been in our diet for centuries all of a sudden cause obesity?

  • @Altois Simply, The facts do not lie, as you will find if you do some research. Read the China Study. The quantities being consumed today grossly exceed that of...as you say...."centuries ago". Centuries ago healthy civilizations existed on starch as a staple, not meat and cheese. Read further.

  • @joe60606 Simply? You're looking at one culture. Let's take a look at the Swiss who lived up in the mountains. Vegetation was scarce but full fat unpasteurized dairy products were not. They would eat full fat cheese and butter and consume full fat milk. Let's move on to Eskimos. They ate nothing but animal products, mainly fish, because that's what was available. I could name at least 4 more groups that thrived on animal products. Despite what we're told, these people lived long healthy lives.

  • @Altois These are isolated examples where these people have adapted over many years, and I'm afraid they are on the whole, not a microcosm of the the bigger picture. Today, on the whole, people are not built to maintain a high fat high animal protein diet...and this is precisely why obesity and "western diseases" are on the rise and plaguing our medical system.

  • @joe60606 Yea, if you just do a little bit of honest research you will see meat consumption isn't linked to the obesity rate. They are many countries which consume even more meat than the US which much lower obesity rates.

Denmark as example consumes 321.7 pound per person of meat per person each year and their obesity rate is 9%,

India on the other hand only consumes 11.5 pounds of meat per person per year and their obesity rate is 20%.

Refined carbs make people fat, not meat.

  • @psychetruth Need proof

  • @psychetruth I did the "honest research" and not only is it linked to obesity, but its highly correlated with western diseases.

  • @joe60606 That's because commercial meat, which is the meat most americans consume, is full of antibiotics, hormones, etc and are even sick. The conditions they are kept in are terrible and disgusting. Meat that is harvested on grass fed farms do not contain any of those things and they are happier animals, they graze on the grass and eat what animals should eat. This meat is healthier for human consumption. We are eating whatever those animals eat. Still, it needs to be consumed in moderation.

  • @psychetruth I totaly agree. Lack of phisical activity and to much simple carbs. Meat diet are most effective way to get rid of fat.

  • @psychetruth Thanks Corrina! You're smart and musically talented, two great qualities :)

  • @joe60606

Not true but meat is bad for several reasons. Foremost among them is the fact that your body lacks the enzymes to properly digest meat. It gets stuck in your intestines for days and can cause colon cancer because of the rotting carcinogens released in that time. Don't believe me? Go vegetarian for a week and you'll shit your brains out. Foot longers x2 a day. Secondly, they are full of antibiotics, hormones and other crap. Thirdly, it's terrible for your cardiovascular system.

  • @ShogaNinja What's not true? I agree with everything you've said and I myself have already done as you suggested and gone not only vegetarian but on a whole-food plant based diet. best shape of my life.

  • @joe60606

That meat isn't linked to obesity. It is in combination with the grains. When you eat a McDonald's Big Mac you burn the bread up in 5 seconds, store a little of that and then store ALL of the burger. Refined grains are terrible for you but they are even more lethal in combination of other things that are terrible for you like deep fried "chicken", red meat, fries etc...

  • @ShogaNinja It's not just the meat that's being expelled from your body, eating a more nutrient dense diet that's rich in fiber, etc aids digestion and therefore the body is not backed up and bowl movements are regular. Also, you have to eat a lot of meat for it to truly damage your system. Eating it once or twice a week or twice a month along with a healthy diet is not going to kill you, and, eating grassfed, organic meat (yes it's expensive) does not contain antibiotics or hormones.

  • @joe60606 you sir...are an idiot....i am not that kind as Corina...:)

  • @degauss22ro1 I'm impressed, You wield such mighty words from your keyboard. well done.

  • i sure do love you videos, im currently on the alkaline diet and im feeling way better and to start with i lost 1/2 lb a day and after 4 days i was loosing 1 lb a day

  • Dear Corrina, This video helped me understand why I was always hungry, cranky and tired. Because I was eating junk. I've been making healthy choices all day and I feel pretty good. Thank You. You and everyone who works for or with Psychetruth are Awesome.

  • @thecrooksareinoffice That's wonderful, keep it up and you'll continue feeling better and better!

  • No sweat no loss.

  • Why why why why

    They don't exercise.

Diet diet diet, what to eat, be fit and not do anything.

    Sure thing!

  • Crave salad? White Castle, maybe, but not salad

  • LOL Corrina looks like in cel shading in this video

  • @bel3122 All diets that actually work focus on changing what the person is eating so they are no longer creating new fat and then stimulating the body to burn fat. HGC does stimulate the body to burn fat. Provided you actually make a diet change along with the HGC, it works.

You can also stimulate your body to start burning fat by jogging for 20 minutes. That's much cheaper than HGC injections.

There are homeopathic HGC diets. No idea if that work; injections do.

  • "1 of 3 americans is medically overweight"

...so, what qualifies as medically overweight ?

And have these factors been lowered in the past, so that more people fall into the "medically overweight" statistics ?

When you can prove that your issue is urgent, you'll get a lot of attention and money from the government.

  • If you don't think the issue is urgent or you don't think it isn't already getting a lot of attention than you aren't paying attention.

A search on Google News will pull up more than 1000 news articles about obesity published in just the last month.

The CDC has 1000s of webpage, studies, statistics, etc. on the topic and refers to it as "Public Health Epidemic".

  • @CloneWarrior001 There is massive public interest as well. In the last four years, there has been more 20 documentaries discussing the issues including; "Super Size Me", "Fat, Sick & Dieing", "Fast Food Nation", "Food Matters", "Food, Inc.", "Fresh", "King Corn", "The Future of Food", "Food Fight", "Killer At Large", "Forks & Knives", "What's on Your Plate?", "Our Daily Bread".

  • @psychetruth Wouldn't the BEST diet for the world be to just completely get rid of fast food? Mcdonalds is easily the number 1 culprit of Obesity in the world I think, its because people love fast food and its disgusting, but Mcdonalds food makes you crave it and really its just horrible. I am glad I haven't eaten there in more then 2 years...

  • @foofiter9097 I am with you!

Have been in McDon I think 3 times in my life - that was enough disgusting.

    YUK YUK MAC!

YUM YUM if I wait & COOK MYSELF later!

  • @Vladimir551 wow i wish I was like you, I grew up on that trash and other processed junk. Now I'm 26 and my whole life is ruined...

  • @iskdude57 It's never never late. If you start now - in two years you will be back in shape! You can be completely different when you are 30.

Watch on Youtube - Angela Stokes on CNN News: Raw Food Weight Loss

  • @psychetruth Many thanks of titles! Going to check it out!

  • I practice calorie restriction (CR) as a lifestyle, and I've maintained an underweight BMI throughout. Aging and disease-formation are a function of calories processed (calories-in + calories-out) and protein-consumption. I personally try to minimize these factors as much as possible.

  • Green smoothies, Fruit smoothies, Huge salads

  • awesome video - lots of good info in there

  • The Gabriel Method works and it is about getting ones body to want to be thin-Adding omega 3's, live foods, probiotics, protein, and whatever else one wants to eat. The body can then assimilate nutrients and begin to crave the live things. Cease HFCS, MSG, and Aspertame. The weight comes off and diets do not work-If they did we would all be on it and skinny.

  • If you want to lose weight, it's simple

What to avoid: Sugar, Fast burning carbohydrates (Grains[bread], pasta, rice), Processed food

What to eat: Vegetables for every meal, Good sources of protein (Fish, Chicken, Beans)

Secret: Most people are under proteinated. Drink 100% Whey protein for every meal. .5 grams - 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. You will see sugar cravings diminish with ample protein

Secret #2: Sip on a glass of salt water to have cravings 4 salty food diminish

  • @Overfl00d great tips

  • @Overfl00d I eat raw dairy & eggs plus tons of pumpkin seeds & nuts. Very rarely have sugar cravings.

  • @Overfl00d I would not follow your advice. Where does your knowledge come from and are you qualified to give that sort of help out? This type of diet does not work for everyone and someone will go out there and try it and it makes their situation worse and they can't figure out why.

Grains are an important part of a diet, buying and eating whole grains like quinoa and brown rice aid your body in digestion and curb hunger. That's the healthy way. But even all people can't eat these things.

  • @lightoftheworld19 You don't have to follow my advice. Freedom of choice is a wonderful thing buddy.

However, I get my information from a pharmacist/nutritionist called Ben Fuchs. You are ignorant if you think eating vegetables and healthy protein won't work for everyone. IT DOES!

Grains are NOT essential to a diet. You really need to learn nutrition. :]

  • @Overfl00d Actually, I DO know nutrition. And everyone has a different take and doesn't know exactly how food works for everyone. What works for YOU may not work for someone. Some people need grains in their diet, others do not. People have all kinds of intolerances. I'm actually a health coach, i'm not stupid. And I didn't plan on following your advice, but for uneducated Americans that are looking to eat better, they should know all sides.

  • The real problem in America is a complete lack of education on nutrition. More time is given in the classroom to sex ed than on nutrition. It's pretty hard to hammer what little is taught when in the lunchroom you have complete junk food (Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution will make you sick). On top of that is the rapidly decreasing quality/nutrition in our food is shameful. The chemicals, the processing, the toxins, the pesticides. The last thing most American's get is food on their plates.

  • All Americans should watch this video.. It is the truth !

  • do a video just on diet pop! i really hate people who drink diet pop.. i mean if your trying to loose weight why would you drink pop? like what makes you think that pop will help you loose weight? if anything i think diet pop is worse for you then normal pop.. and it tastes nasty!

  • @KnowledgeISpower789

Aspartame is pure poison. They tried to ban it when it first came out and the corporate money overcame that problem. This is the main ingredient in Diet Coke. I find that mostly women drink diet coke and some of them are so hopelessly addicted to it they will attack you if you try to take it away, or they will be complete monsters until they have had one in the morning. This to me is proof that they have chemically engineered it to be addictive even though it's poisonous.

  • @ShogaNinja There was a story.

US marines in Iraq were drinking diet Coke on a damn hot day (really hot, maybe120 F). They were poisoned by aspartame, that had become toxic by heat.

  • @Vladimir551

Never heard that one but nor do I doubt it. A simple wikipedia search of Aspartame will reveal how they tried to ban it and why, and how they overcame that ban attempt.

  • @ShogaNinja Absolutely!

If I'm right, Donald Rumsfeld (as a head of FDA) was involved in aspartame final approval despite its known harm. The same guy was shaking hands with Saddam Hussein during his was against Iran.

That's why it's so important to read, do your own research... - use your own head naturally, not just put junk in it.

Unfortunately, most people just watch CNN (be the first to know :=)) & sitcoms.... and also funny videos on Youtube, packing on junk food & counting calories.

  • @Vladimir551

Women are the ones who are addicted to the Diet Coke. If you try to take it away from them or talk to them in the morning they will attack you like rabid dogs. When you ask them why do they get addicted to that crap and they say, well, I don't smoke or drink so I am allowed to have my diet coke... They are literally addicts.

  • @ShogaNinja Plus the caffeine, more than in a regular Coke, to offset the lack of sugar.

So many people just don't realize they are addicted to caffeine when drinking diet pop.

  • @Vladimir551

Truly. It's an epidemic. If you try to stand between my woman and a Diet Coke in the morning you better be armed to the teeth! Conversely if you come bearing a Diet Coke in bed this is an easy equivalent to breakfast in bed.

  • @Vladimir551

And yes, the lattes that they serve with fat free this and that on top are toxic. Whenever you see the words Fat Free or Sugar Free you should equate that statement with "Chemical Shit-Storm". Another case is Mountain Dew and a lot of fake butters have EDTA in them which is a chemical used to detoxify patients who have metal poisoning (i.e. lead) and its main effect on the body is to drain it of nutrients. And people drink this shit all day long and spread it on their toast.

  • @Vladimir551 They were also poisoned by low-carb energy drinks. It was formaldehyde poisoning. When aspartame reaches a certain heat, that's what it breaks down to.
