  • The GP-15 and SW1500 weren't nessecarily built with tractive effort first in mind.  I'd be willing to bid on the heavier SD-38 mated only with a six axle slug to be more succesfull at starting a heavy train like this.

  • Hmm, doesn't look like it's getting very good traction on the rail.

  • Can't they try shoving back and bunching it, and the pick it up gradually?

  • JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the I've seen that grade from the Amtrak station, and it can't be that bad, or is the cut of cars to heavy.
