Saw them open for Yes around this time I think.

They did a short stint of six weeks in the Summer of 2000 opening for Yes. If you give me the city or venue I may be able to dial it in exactly.

Kansas opened for Yes on July 18,2000 in Camden,New Jersey at the Blockbuster-SonyCenter. They played the next night in Homdel,New Jersey at The PNC Arts Center.

hallo michael, ich bin thomas aus Trier, mir geht es ähnlich. konnte kürzlich auch nicht nach saarbrücken, war aber in 2008 in Homburg / Efze und konnte dort kansas live sehen. Für dieses jahr ist ja leider kein konzert bei uns geplant.

Ich bin jetzt 33 Jahre kansas-fan. Aber wie kommst Du heute mit 16 jungen Jahren an Kansas?

Hallo Thomas! Cool, ich bin aus Fell :-) Ja, ist schon schade, dass sie nicht so oft hierher kommen. Ist aber echt ein Erlebnis, wenn man gleich auf seinem ersten Konzert seine Lieblingsband sieht. Ich kam vor ca. 3 Jahren durch eine Episode der Serie South Park zu Kansas. In der Folge kam mehrmals "Carry On Wayward Son" vor und ich fand es sofort super. Daraufhin habe ich im Internet über die Band recherchiert und irgendwann waren sie dann meine Lieblingsband :-)

You're welcome Norm. Indeed they did! There are a couple of recorded shows from about a month earlier and Steve Smits says they sound awesome on those as well! (maybe they are yours?) A little later (maybe even the next song) Walsh starts to really get animated with his gestures and dancing. It's fun to watch!
