You think that all you need to know is the Bible. Humanity tried that for over 1,000 years. It didn't work out so well. Then science and technology came along and the human existence improved. If the holy men of old had understood reason and logic rather than "God" then they would have been the ones to make the advancements.

Problems: 94% of the members of The National Academy of Science are athiest/agnostic. Of the 43 specific studies done since 1927 on the relationship between intelligence and religious belief, all but 3 found an inverse relationship between the 2. One could easily infer that god is looking to surround himself with the weak minded and the gullible of his creation. If I believed, I'd like to give god more credit than this, but the facts speak for themselves.

Some may not consider scientific journals like Nature and the Journal of Neuroscience quality reading...when one could be reading bible stories about "the sun standing still???" Anyway, the statistics I quoted were from a survey conducted and printed in "Nature" -June 1998, vol. 394. Conversely, less than 1% of the largely uneducated prison population are athiest. -Federal Bureau of Prisons study.2001. And 40 other studies by MENSA (the high IQ organization) have found the same correlation.

-electrons are visible in a particle chamber. Yes they've been seen, even in 2 places at the same time.

-quantum particles are detectable through their particle signature when larger particles are collided.

-Rom 1:20 is at best, a plagerized idea of the greeks. Leucippe actually theorised that there are invisible particles he called a-toms, that constituted everything visible in 420 b.c. Almost 500 years before the book of romans was written. Maybe this should affirm our belief in Zeus?

Technically, you cannot "see" anything smaller than the shortest wavelength of light that you can see it with. The shortest wavelength violet light is 4 x 10-7 meters. An atom is about 10-11 meter. So an atom is 4 x 104 or 40,000 x too small to be seen.

But there are ways to "visualize" it, like Atomic Force Microscopy. But these are all just measurements converted to computer images, and are not in any real sense "seeing" the atom.

This is true and afm is one of many ways to "look at"/detect atomic/electron particle signatures. And most fascinating is the particle/wave behavior of electrons. This is truly a fundamental partical of all creation. But when you think about what religion has had to offer in terms of explanations, it really pales in comparison to the details provided by science.

what I find interesting is the studies that link what I would call sin with disease and early death,maybe there is even more that we have to study on where germs come from maybe there is even a deeper understanding?

I still look at natural disaster through a biblical lens because we are in a fallen world and these things are evangelists to keep us from getting to comfortable here.

There a obviously great thinkers that are christian. Ex:Francis Collins, director of the human genome project is a christian. A peripheral understanding of neuropsychology explains how this is possible. It's called mental compartmentalization. It's something we can observe w/ fMRI.

-I was just like you for my whole life. I used all the mental gymnastics I could to square the circle of religion. But I decided observable reality was a little more credible than bronze age parables.

Don't forget those that misinterpret and teach false doctrine and base their teachings on the very bible that we Christians use. I was so focused on Christian apologetics that I forgot to pay attention to that! Of course God taught me a lesson during the last few weeks by testing me in this area. A bunch of guys said I wasn't saved because I didn't believe that I attained salvation at the moment I was water baptized, but rather before, therefore, rendering the baptism useless and damning my soul.
