There's another Time Life album commercial I remember from the 80s for a similar album called "Real Rock" (with rock songs from the early 60s). The ad went "Remember when you drove a real car, ate real food (a kid eating pancakes), had real parties, and the music was real rock". I used to get a kick out of that one (and laugh at them for calling that stuff "real rock"). Anyone else remember that one? I couldn't find it on youtube.
I just got a bunch of these today on cassette, I got years 54-64 and Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons 62-67. Only paid 6 bucks for all of them. Thats 242 of the best songs ever made,on 11 cassettes
@ABoredGreaser I want to buy it vinyl, though and record it to a premium TDK High Bias Cassette such as the TDK AD-X. Or even on a Maxell UDI, XLI-S, or TDK AD tape in the Normal Bias variety.
this is old school . you can find ALL this music on the internet , youtube whgere you found this and many more . they can not stop the internet . only a select few had the internet in 1980 . today . EVERYONE HAS IT . IT'S EVEN ON CELL PHONES . TRY GETTING AWAY FROM THAT .
Great, they still had cassettes and longplayers. If you want get more early sixties feeling, then kindly take a look into my clip "Crazy Sixties Advertising Show
Today, of course, Time-Life devotes entire half-hour "infomercials" to these collections (ever see the latest ones co-hosted by Bobby Rydell- and Jon "Bowzer" Bauman?), scheduled any time, anywhere [WCBS-TV, New York has a weekly time period for them on Sunday mornings at 11:30].
