It's both ignorant and absurd to assume that most of the Middle East has any support for or ties to the Taliban. Actually, a vast minority of Muslims have any support for the Taliban, comparable to the number of Christians who would support a modern Crusade. This is the American Army, whereas the Taliban are insurgents with little to no actual support from most of the area.
