  • very beautiful music and you play it with inspiration!

  • @luckkitten7 Thank you very much!

  • Nice playing!

Did you change the tuners on your guitar ?

  • heavenly

  • beautifully and tastefully done. Praise the Lord.

  • Very well done!! Nice sounding guitar as well!!

  • Perfect...congratulations!

  • Hi Marty: Just happened on your channel, and so glad I did. This great gospel, is just beautiful on the guitar. Love it. Thanks so much for sharing. Gwen

  • I have a blueridge br-160 and now i ignore ALL of my other guitars. I know it is not american made but it is also not made in 5 minutes. Very good quality guitar. I actually think it is the best for under a 1000 dollars. Nice playing marty

  • @silentpimpsmak I no longer wish for an expensive Martin, Taylor, etc, as I did for so many years. My BR-160 is everything I ever wanted in an acoustic. I hope you have many great years playing yours. Thanks for the compliment on my playing.

  • Hi mate great playing..I am thinking of buying this guitar over the web..you recommened?? Does the string spacing feel to close or is that all cool??

  • Thanks! I'd highly recommend this guitar. It has a great feel to me and it sounds amazing. Just make sure you have it set up properly either from the seller or a local guitar repairman.

  • That was very nice. The combination of acoustic guitar and the unique tuning you use combine for a great sound.

  • Nice playing and nice guitar! I need a backup guitar and that would be perfect.

May I ask why you didn't just put a capo on the neck rather than tune up a half step?

  • Thanks on both! You may find that your BR-160 becomes your main guitar, it's so nice. I didn't use a capo because the open strings seem to ring better without one. I'm not really sure why I played it 1/2 step higher anyways!

  • he does it to keep the harmonics open, its acually just a while lot easier to play..

  • excellent job! great expression and feeling! God Bless!

  • Thanks! I like your playing, too!

  • Thank you, its really nice to see and hear talent expressed in music! keep it up!

  • do you change pickguard?

  • Yes, I replaced the pickguard with a black one that I got online from Elderly Instruments. I removed the original pickguard by using a hair dryer to soften the glue and then carefully peeled it off. The new black one was peel and stick so it was easy to put on.

  • Hey man, I really want to tell you that that was amazing. I love this song, and every word that is spoken in it. Jesus is INDEED our friend, and we can lean on Him any time, and day, and at any hour.

    Thanks again,

    G.S.O.F.T.

  • Thanks a lot! This is one of my favorites, too. My late father was a minister and this hymn sure means a lot to me.

  • Good job! Do you have tabs for that arrangement?

  • Thank you! I added the tab URL to the description above.

  • oh, perfect! Thanks :)

  • Amen. I love that song, and that version. Its so calming, like the arms of our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • great version...

  • Thank you!

  • Sweet! Nice touch and nice tone from that mic

  • I like the contrast of the simple chords in the first part with the modernized harmony in the second half.

  • A simply beautiful version of one of my all time favourites.

Do you happen to have the tabs or sheets?

  • Nice arrangement. Sounds really nice in that tuning also.

  • Nice.

  • Nicely played...open tuning?

  • read :P. In the info it's called "a half step higher than open D tuning" ;)

  • beautiful...thank you
