I hope you don't mind, but I'm totally borrowing your arrangement! You did a terrific job on a terrific song. You made it playable and singable. Well done!!
this is a great acoustic version, man you have alot of guitars and know how to play well, I will be following your stuff and probably be picking up a few of these tunes for my guitar gigs/sets, here is a good quote for us older dudes, from W.C. Fields "Youth is wasted on the Young" -LOL!!!! Now younger dudes, just having some fun with words on this (-:
Beautiful cover of a beautiful song; thank you for sharing it with the world. I'm your age and also play guitar, but don't nearly have the range to sing this song which seems particularly difficult vocally. Do you find this song to be difficult to sing? The chords are also about the strangest you'll find in a hit pop song from the 60's; I can copy them but have no idea what they are called.
Excellent!! Damn, you play that guitar as easy as breathing. Love it. Yes, the music back then was awesome. It was actually people singing and playing instruments. Not, all the machines they use today.
@dan7dees Andres Segovia used to call the guitar "orchestra in a box." Zombies were a great band. Considerable amount of air play, but not so much you'd get sick of them.
This is amazing! I love The Zombies, and this is one of my favorite songs from them. Do you thin you could somehow show me the chords you are using in this cover? I'm sure I and others would greatly appreciate it!
I was born in 1968 so I was young when this song came out..I first heard it back in ..1988 and I tought during many years that Colin 's voice was actually a female one..
The Zombies is the most underrated band of the 60's..I wish I could see them live one day.
great job with a great tune. Thanks for the post. Always had a tough time figuring out some of those changes when that single charted. Maybe you can post a tutorial if you have time. Also enjoyed your comments (and share the same feelings about the music and the times) on the 60's.
Nice job. This song is famous for Colin Blunstone falling asleep while singing the master take, hence the line "don't lubby dub from your arms" in the second chorus. It was a hit anyway. :-) This song always reminds me of the Guess Who song "Undun", not sure why except that they're great songs.
So many more great Zombies songs you could do..."She's Not There", "Let Me Be", "I Remember When I Loved Her"... Colin's solo stuff from the 70's is great too.
I've always loved this song by The Zombies. It's my second favorite by them right after "Time of the Season." And, as always, you done a great cover. You have such a style and flair that adds pizazz to every performance. Thanks again, Larry, for all you do.
This was the song that led me (oh those many years ago) to you on youtube! I was impressed then and am even more so today. Sounds incredible my dear friend. Thanks for redoing it.
Larry......Great song here....and i must say that you just have such a unique flair and style with music.....i wish you could just go out of yourself one time and experience your music like we do.....it is a priceless thing....this is a good one and i agree that the music of today cant hold a candle to real music of the past....you took another and made it new.........Excellent.....ione marie
I always dread clicking on a post that says "cover"..Glad I did it this time though. Excellent job!

Outstanding... Vocals & Guitar, spot on. Colin Blunstone would be jealous. Love the percussive rhythm you get with the guitar.

I really love the naturalness and purity of this video. Just man and guitar, but still sounds big and full as an orchestra.

Terrific song. Terrific performance, Larry. Incidentally, Colin Blunstone is still singing -- going at it strong. A wonderful, unique voice.
