hate to sound dumb but what are flat batteries?? I just bought one of these from a thrift store and put alkalines in it and i head the speaker pop then it died.
I just bought one off eBay and noticed that you can't press 2 keys @ once. Only one key will make a sound instead of the 2 keys blending to make one sound. Is mine broken or what that just how they were made since they are very very old?

Nope, the unit doesnt work when bateries are flat however a transformer used will rid of replacement batteries.

My best friend still has one of these, I used to love playing with it when I was young. There are very simple keyboards, but they're cool.
