  • @jabjabmove You talking like a ignorant moron. By the time Jones fought Calzghe, he had suffered 2 BAD knockouts. Not decision but CONCUSSIVE KNOCKOUTS! Them sort of knockouts can kill a person in the ring. When he fought Calzaghe he wasn't fighting to prove anything but, rather, try to re-ignite the old flame. That is the problem for many fighters... they don't know when to quit. Jones should have quit after the Johnson fight.

  • ya'll dont understand lol. roy already explained why he's not the same. he's older, and the fact that losing 25 pounds of muscle has a big effect on ur body. you lose energy and speed because the energy aint there any more. plus he's already an accomplished boxer. wht more does he have to prove to his fans.

    he fights for him now.

  • @jabjabmove - You make sense, but you are responding to my brother's comment. Don't get me wrong. I like boxing to.

  • I think Roy was lucky to get as far as he did in boxing. He never really had a good defense. He was just a marginally fast offensive fighter, but it seemed like Antonio Tarver's bravado and win took Roy's fighting spirit away. Roy was never ever the same after losing to Tarver.

    .

Roy Jones jr. just like Mike Tyson, reminds me of Humpty Dumpty. It's like once he fell that was the beginning of the end. All the kings horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty back together again.

  • @americanpatriot00 actually Roy was never the same after coming back down from heavyweight, it wasn't Tarver. Not to take anything away from Tarver, but Roy had to lose 26 lbs of muscle just to make weight. Roy was physically drained and was at a huge disadvantage before even fighting Tarver.

  • calzaghe=chris byrd with an accent

  • @badddluccc Not watch boxing? Thats all I watch. Yea Pavlik proly would beat Jones but thats casue Jones is way out of his prime. And Danny won because Jones is out of his prime too also hes a big puncher. So leave the boxing to me you keep talking out your ass like a good fuck boy.

  • SAY WHAT?

  • Nah man he carefully avoided ever1..dont try tell me he was really daaat good rofl. RFJ in his prime woulda punish him.

  • @sameer594 ; Joe is the SUPER SUPER MAN THEN !

  • @sameer594 More like the super "knocked out" man of boxing. He just gets ready to get KNOCKED OUT!

  • if ya look away he sounds a lot like samuel l jackson in pulp fiction. especially the cafe stuff at the end. 'charming muthafcukin pig' etc

  • @birchual

lmfao @ "charming muthafucking pig ect"

  • him and emanual agustus are brothers

  • The audio is horrible, can't hear most of it.

  • Im american and i know JOE CALZAGHE IS A LEYEND....everybody got to accept that...46 - 0...he beat Hopkins before hopkins beat pavlik(A undefeated champion) so hopkins was in good condition and he beat Jones and kessler or w/e lol he is very good and A LEYEND

  • @galacticflowchannel Calzaghe is good im not taking anything away from him but roy without a doubt was the better fighter prime vs. prime. jones beat over 20 world or future world champions compared to the i think it was 12 by calzaghe

  • These comments are hillarious. Calzaghe ducked for years. If it wasnt for benard who really won that fight fighting him, he would be a nobody. Calzaghe ducked pavlik taylor glen johnson roy and bernard in their prime dawson. He should of been in the super middleweight tornament. Instead he ducked. frock and kessler in it. He wont fight true compilation. He lost BTW(Sakio Bika) Some italian dude, and of course sheika fight was a robbery. OH ROBIN REID. Do your homework on Joe

  • @tftmc Yeah i remember all that, i meant that Calzaghe could of fought RJJ 10 years ago, but didn't... RJJ is an Icon always will be, Calzaghe, has nothing on him...

  • I get ya, If they had fought as Super Middleweights, than I'd say RJJ would have KOed him. But in the end Jones never did fare well will Southpaws, Tarver and Calzaghe were embarrassments for him.

  • @tftmc You seem to know what your talking about, what are your thoughts on David Haye?

  • I can see you're a fan "HayeMaker"100.

Well in general I would say goin from Cruiser to Heavy so smoothly & get a KO in his first Heavyweight fight. I like how he beat that 320lb 7ft freak of nature, Valuev. That hairy freak should get a class of his own or be banned.

    21KOs in 24 fights? That's very impressive

I like his power, he has a good reach & I definitely see good things for him. Vitali needs to man up, period.

He's a more media friendly champ then a former UK-based Champ (Lewis)

  • But more about Klitschko. He needs to give people shots at that name. Haye already has 3 World Heavyweight belts & not enough credit from people or sports media. He deserves it, and Haye earned that. Valuev has size, Klitschko has size but some skill too. That name however will get some much deserved attention to Haye.

Wladmir talks a lot of shit, more so than Haye has. I think those two idiots would honestly get KOed. They want the whole Heavyweight division to bow to them as if they own it.

  • It is quite a shock to see someone on youtube actually giving Haye his props, and someone who looks at both sides of the argument... Haye is definately the best prospect to enter the heavyweight division in recent years... and it annoys me that people disregard what he did against Valuev, he hurt him in the last round like no other fighter has ever done... thanks for your opinion...

  • Eh just stating what I see. It's just time that the Klitschko's move over, and if that takes Haye bashing Wladmir's chin open, than so be it.

But more than anything I just want to see Haye fight good competition, not monsters. He has 5-15 years left as a fighter, I hope he can help bring back the former glory of the Heavyweight division.

  • lol @ lied to all boxing fans 7:22

he never neutralized calzaghe...a shitty uk boxer.

    owned

  • i heard he is dating tommy morrison

  • he looks like 50+ yrs old right here

  • i hope the rematch will be good but no doubt hopkins will mash him!!

  • they told joe he needed a knockout only to take it out of the home judges hands not coz he was losing but defo a very close fight

  • roy was 40 at the fight cal was 36 is that right ?

  • bull shit

  • Lacy was one dimensional and simple before calzaghe (not a superstar) Jones was tainted after the Ruiz fight ( cutting major weight and fighting too soon led to a devastating skill debilitating knockout ) He wasn't a shadow of the Roy Jones we know and love, and Hopkins beat Calzaghe

  • "Hopkins beat Calzaghe." Funniest thing I've read in years. ice one mate. When is your next stand up gig? My ticket is booked.

  • ....you the only dude laughing .....mate lol.

  • Hopkins schooled Calzaghe. No contest! Calfaggies own corner told him (joe) that he needed a knockout to have any chance at winning.

  • If Joes the fag then why was BH hugging and cuddling him for virtually the entire fight. If he traded blows like a man then Joe's workrate and power would have destroyed him.

  • ever heard of the sweet science? it's called boxing.

  • Aren't you confusing homosexual love with boxing? Let it go sonny he was beaten move on. Its a sign of maturity if you can handle being beaten like a man and stop whinging.

  • @chrisbrett2k

hopkins out thought calzaghe. hopkins basically "neutralized" calzaghe's attack. the younger calzaghe never got it going against the ancient 43 y/o legend.

  • Ahh I see. I think Jo was aiming to win the fight and therefore didn't get too concerned about being, out thought, out hugged or neutralised. The aim was to win yes. All praise to Hoppy for the hugging and cuddles though.

  • you lack of boxing knowledge has officially shown its ugly head. hoppy showed that he was the guy in charge from the start of the bell. mr. hopkins determined the pace and when the exchanges where and would take place. hopkins is an absolute boxing genius! ....now go away and leave me alone

  • Cuddly Hoppy did very well. It must go down as one of his most successful fights ever.

  • hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!

did u just say calzaghe power would of destroyed hopkins

    omg your a joker

    jeeeeeee\

  • true.

  • joes the man.a true legend

  • true slapper.....the greatest slapper in boxing history!

  • Oh yeh slapper that's what big bad Jeff Lacy thought before his face was mashed up and his career was effectively ended. Pretty powerful slaps.

  • Yeah another inex[experienced fighter calzaghe fights. His whole resume consists of inexperienced fighters...bryan mitchell, lacy, bika, manfredo, woodhall, sheika, robin reid lol,.....do yall even look at resumes ? Dudes resume only consists of fighter who barley had 25 fights at the time lol. Check hopkins records after calzaghe all fighter who had 30, 40, 50 fights. Jermaine taylor was the only dude who didn't have that many fights who another robbery. check the records.

  • they don't listen. all they see is the 0 in the loss column. they don't know they're boxing.

  • true pair of panties!

  • When Calzaghe beat Mikkel Kessler, Kessler was younger than him. When Calzaghe beat Jeff Lacy, Lacy was younger than him.

Everyone underestimates Calzaghe, calls him "slappy joe." But his work rate adds up and overwhelms others, and those slaps start to hurt after awhile.

  • But a career as long as Calzaghe has been reduced to wins against three fighters kessler (joes one great acheivement imo) Hopkins an old man who is still good but over 12 is shot, and RJJ a guy who was shot at least 5 years ago. If joe fought taylor, wright, dawson, ect and rematched kessler and won he would be one of the legends of the sport as it is he is a good fighter but doesnt stand with the likes of Sugar ray and co.

  • Suger Ray thinks he's awesome!

  • In terms of skill of course JC had them but his resume just doesnt match his talent.

  • oh it's work to maintain slaps!

  • Keep on hating on Calzaghe Cloudgatekeeper. He's retired and you would have never fought him anyway, so you don't run the risk of bleeding (like Roy Jones) for running your mouth off.

  • No hatin it's a fact....everyone here in hawaii says the same luto! lol!

  • Well, Calzaghe's slaps hurt Roy Jones worse than any other boxer's hardest punches. I've never seen Roy bleed the way he did after Calzaghe "slapped" him.

  • c'mon son you know roy jones past prime.

  • This much is true. If Danny Green could knock him out in one round in Australia, then he is well-past prime.

  • roy jones was not knocked out. the stop was stupid roy had a lot of fight left. the fight was unfare and i see why bhop has never fought abroad and roy shouldnt either

  • im a big ry fan and i say he should have thrown back alot quicker than he did, he was not defending himself and in interview after roy staed this also.

  • no if tarver could ko him with one punch he is past it. I seen roy get hit all day in his prime and he didn't fall.

  • I never seen calzagays nose bleed that way before in the hopkins fight either, I never seen calzaghe get chin checked and stunned 5 times before either but first time for everything. B-hop all day.

  • oh please...first off I am no boxer thats calzaghe's job second....I am not even scared to fight no calzaghe......calzaghe right after he retired joined bully victims "r" us club......he joined an organization on victims from bullying in life....c'mon this guy is a bigger faggit than rupaul's slave lol!!!

  • Slaps that destroy careers.

  • I dont know....jones looked better in the lacy fight than I ever seen him when he was fighting no names in early 2000's.

  • hence he wasn't passed it when he was outclassed by the old JC

  • I said lacy fight....you got down syndrom I said LACY FIGHT. lol doofus.

  • lol....didn't destroy hopkins career....matter of fact it inhanced it. Probably why calzagay didn't want rematch lol.

  • You have to retire at some point. People can always say they didn't dare continue. The facts are he was unbeaten and had a very long successful career. JC retired at the very top. A very smart move. BH & RJJ didn't do the same. Very stupid decisions by both of them. Never mind about JC beating them all you will eventually get over it, give it a year or two.

  • Benn over it son over it son...pavlik put calzaghe legacy in a coffin lol. You will be over calzaghe not gettin respect in a year or to son. People still don't know who he is here lol....probably because he hasn't barley fought an experienced champion until hopkins lol.

  • hopkins beat pavlik bad and you say thats bad. Im not the one telling hopkins to keep fighting. I say after 30 years old boxers should retire because the reflexes start to diminish at that age but hopkins still makes history can't say bad on both sides of the fence. Mosley koed margarito at 38 foreman stops michael moore at 45. Can't sit back like a hypocrite and say alls not good.

  • @Cloudgatekeeper

Michael Moore was mostly a Light-Heavy until later & moved liked Frazier. Moore did have more KOs, Wins and Fights than any fighter, ever.

As for this fight. Joe Calzaghe showed potential by beating 2 fighters...Not enough to say anything significant tho! The other 40 or so fights from Calzaghe were from unknown UK and Wales fighters that he cherry picked.

If Calzaghe came onto the scene 10yrs ago & than we'd actually see how good he is or isn't.

  • should've gave hopkins a rematch......so quick to retire............he's such a whimp. All these fights and calzaghe is only worth 9-10 million.

  • I agree totally. I think Hopkins would have destroyed Calzaghe in a Rematch. It's the Southpaw luck. That's all.

Sadly it's hard to argue that considering his fight before he beat Tarver and Wright, both southpaws.

Anyways. Yeah Calzaghe is a bitch. I never heard the name until 2007 when they announced the fight. I was like, who is this guy, why haven't I seen him? Checked up his record & said, Hopkins is gunna drop this guy in the 4th.

    It's too late now.

  • calzaghe's retired....hopkins might retire probably either after jones fight(...no comment).or he says he could possibly fight david haye. VERY DANGEROUS FIGHT. IM A DAVID HAYE FAN. HOPKINS WILL BE KOED THIS FIGHT....AFTER WATCHING AROUND 20 HAYE FIGHTS HIS LEFT HOOK WILL DESTROY HOPKINS BECAUSE HAYE HAS NO TIMING TO WHEN HE THROWS IT. IT'S RANDOM AND WITH A RHYTHM THATS UNDEFINED. Hopkins retire after jones fight period.

  • Haye is very good. I think he's the biggest prospect in boxing right now. To me he's the hope of the Heavyweight division, and after Jones v Hopkins II (the 17 year awaited rematch) IF Hopkins goes to fight Haye, as much as I liked Hopkins over the years I gotta say I'd like to see Haye win, and he will. Hopkins went pro nearly 20 years ago, and as a SuperMiddle, going to Heavy would kill him. Hearns tried to do it, and he looked liked a fool.

  • It's all about paul williams, andre ward, pacman/mayweather, chad dawson(looked unreal in johnson rematch looked like a p4p fighter) ivan calderon, gamboa/lopez,(if they fight eachother....sheesh), david haye/david tua/chambers...too(im not counting him out against wladimir....chambers has a little speed but incredible jab)adamek too! ARTHUR ABRAHAM TOO! MARTINEZ GONNA KO PAVLIK!....IF NOT KO HE WILL WIN VERY BIG! I SAID IT! KO MOST LIKELY THO!

  • Well I like Chad Dawson. He shows some REAL potential, and is definitely a top fighter or on his way.

Pavlik is done. He had his "beginner's luck" by bashing every set of nuts he could get his hands on, especially Hopkins, but we all know Hopkins gave Pavlik a vicious beating. Also, Pavlik's corner...SUCKS. He is poorly trained, doesn't use the jab nearly enough for a fighter with that reach & height.

But yeah, I get your point. Boxing is getting more and more disappointing. Blame MMA.

  • remember ......moore wasn't accumulating punishment in the entire fight for him to get koed. Foreman one-punched him. Foreman kept missing his right hand and lowered it a little to hit him. Moore moved up but he was caught with only one punch hich stopped him...can't say moore was nothing he earned that belt through blood sweat and tears. Not saying calzaghe was nothing but he had at least two more fights in him. I wanted him to fight chad dawson or rematch hopkins.

  • @tftmc Your absolutely right, Calzaghe only went over to America at the end of his career... And apparently he could of fought Roy Jones Junior in his prime but didn't... that speaks volumes to me...

  • RJJ was not in his prime by any means. RJJ was 39, It was 3 1/2 years after he took 3 losses in a row, 2 to Tarver one to Johnson. I would hardly call that prime. Calzaghe and his management kept a close eye on certain fighters and they cherry picked, the only thing I give Calzaghe credit for is picking the right time. Don't you remember RJJ knocking him down in the 1st?

And don't forget Calzaghe was a southpaw, you ever heard of the southpaw curse? What a pointless boxing career.

  • Hahahahaha. A pointless career? No thats what you probably do.

Its sad when someone bitches and moans because the outcome wasn't what they wanted. Never mind.

    Joe=UNDEFEATED CHAMPION.

  • Yeah a POINTLESS career. 2 wins means NOTHING! Despite my good arguments about Calzaghe waiting years to cherry pick these 2 fights, who are his other opponents the last 10 years? Nobodies. Whoever happened to be in that little corner of the UK?

I'd compliment Joe if he came onto the International Circuit 10yrs ago, 6 years AFTER RJJ and Hopkins fought eachother for the belt. They are real fighters, they didn't fight their sparring partners & call them fights, as Calzaghe probably did.

  • I don't think he would give a fuck about you comlementing him or not.

He beat jones and thats end of. Deal with it instead of moaning about it! Bit like saying we should have had a penalty in football when you lose!! Very sad.

  • Oh trust me, *retired* boxers have LOTS of time, he reads shit, they all do. But that's beside the point. I'm talking here.

I think that he fought well, but in a fight without an early KO there is no credible way of saying one boxer is better than the other.

I'm not denying he won either fight. But it's the way he went about his career that bothers most. He was fit enough after the 2 W's, why didn't he accept any of the requests from dozens to fight like 99% of credible boxers would do?

  • To prove the idea that one fight doesn't do it, Sugar Ray Robinson vs LaMotta 1-6. It took 6 fights for the boxing community and fans to definitely say was one was better than the other. Same thing with Ali and Frazier. Joe won the 1st and it took Ali two more fights. That's why we have rivalries. And the boxers get bigger purses. Rivalries Calzaghe possibly could have started years before the Hopkins fight.

Instead he hid in Wales for years training & scouting for a cherry picked fight.

  • But SRR won 4 of 5 fights over LaMotta, and all the fights were very close. The 6th fight, the most popular and best proved SRR was better. And don't blame race because Joe Louis already broke most of the stigma of black boxers was gone by the late 40s for the most part.

So my whole point is, why did he only fight 3 fighters I know? Kessler, Hopkins and Jones. Hopkins won 1 judge over, and barely lost the other 2. It was a SD of all things.

Jones, that's another story. He's out of prime then

  • Out of 1-10 of boxing credibility, Joe Calzaghe gets a 2. For beating two good boxers. A 10 would be SRR, Joe Louis, Ali, and maybe Mosley if he beats Mayweather, among others.

And that's how most boxing fans think. It's only UK fans that think he's a legend. This isn't Rocky, it ain't a movie.

IF Calzaghe was so good, again and again I will ask why didn't he pop out of the UK earlier to fight the very good Super-Middles and Cruisers of the time? Way earlier, like 30 fights earlier...

  • @tftmc

    Cruisers??? what you talking about.

Your reply credibility is 0 out of 10.

  • Comment removed

  • @tftmc

Calzaghe fought at super middle because that was his weight. He was a career super middle.

Anyone who criticises him for not going up 32lbs in weight hasn't got a clue.

  • @agt155 32lbs? Cruiserweight in the US, depending on the Boxing Commission is 175-199. 168-175 is Light-Heavyweight but fought at 174 1/2 in the RJJ fight.

This isn't UK were talking about, and since he became a real international fighter, I'm talking about NA, US & International.

He doesn't need to be 190lbs but he was already 174 1/2 lbs for the RJJ fight, like I said. So he'd only need 15 1/2 lbs from the RJJ fight, not 32. Not a big jump for someone that calls himself the greatest.

  • @tftmc

Do you understand anything about weight divisions? For a start the UK invented them. ie 12st (super-middle), 12 1/2st (lightheavy) etc. Secondly why would a fighter who can make 175 come in at 176 and give himself a likely 24 lb weight disadvantage??? Because, if you haven't noticed, top fighters tend to come in pretty much on the limit. If you don't agree with that then name me a few 176lb cruisers?

PS Calzaghe was only at 175 for the last 2 fights of his career.

  • @agt155 I understand what you mean. I still think at least for the Hopkins fight a rematch would have been appropriate since Calzaghe only won 2 judges over, & lost 1 judge, getting an SD.

My whole point is that if he was so great, how come he couldn't jump up in weight like real greats like Robinson. SRR went up 28lbs (2st) which is much more relatively than Calzaghe would have to gain to get to 190lbs.

Now if he fought more champs, I'd give him more credit i.e, Tarver, a fellow Southpaw.

  • @agt155 Also, if he stayed around, maybe he could fought guys on the Contender and Champ level in the Cruiserweight division. I think Calzaghe's style was unorthodox enough to throw off the bigger fighters. A Dawson-Calzaghe fight would have been possible in early-mid '10

Calzaghe has character but no understanding of boxing politics. He has money & can live comfortably without brain damage for a long time. However, he was a boxer and because of that more fights would have been nice.

  • @tftmc Thing is about Dawson is that he has no draw and is very good, it'd be a terrible risk v reward fight. This is why Dawson struggles so badly to find decent opponents, and why B-hop wants no part of him.

Tarver v Calzaghe could have happened if Tarver hadn't got schooled by Hopkins.

  • @agt155 Risk v. Reward is behind every real fight. If Calzaghe stayed in boxing he'd have a shot at being a cruiser & fight someone like Dawson. If he won no one but biased a-holes could deny Joe was exceptional. 2 Undefeated fighters, it would have made for better TV than RJJ-BHop II. Calzaghe really didn't have a fight, except a B-Hop Rematch. He could only go up.

I gotta say one thing, you UK fans are insane. In a good way of course, we could use that here in the Heavyweight Div.

  • @tftmc Dawson is a light heavy. He's even talked of going down to 168.

If Calzaghe beat him then a couple months later the haters would say "Dawson was a nobody anyway".

  • @agt155 Well Dawson is stuck in a bad spot. 175 lost everyone. But these days going down in weight seems to work for certain fighters.

But I think Calzaghe won't be recognized as a great due to timing. His record shows 4 fighters that are known, 2 of real prominence. He had a great European career and I don't doubt that he has ability, but if he showed it more early on the World stage guys like Toney & many more were there. Than the boxing community worldwide would appreciate Joe's career more.

  • @tftmc yea its laughable, Calzaghe coulda fought Toney, B Hop and RJJ when they were prime. But he wanted none of that.

  • @BringerOfTheTruth Thank you.

There are fighters out there with less than 25 wins that are serious prospects or contenders world-wide. Yet it just so happens Calzaghe fights 2 of any real prominence & 40 guys no one knew. Calzaghe could have fought a never-ending list of the rising Middleweights, Super-Middleweights, and Light-Heavy's in the early-mid 2000s.

I blame it on the fact his father, Enzo has ties to Organized Crime in Wales & UK, that's why he was over there so much of his career.

  • @BringerOfTheTruth Absolute nonsense; Hopkins turned down a fight lined up with Joe years before- he suddenly demanded a lot more money. Then when they did fight, he ran, held, butted and cheated for a long rest when he was about to be overwhelmed. Joe came to fight, Hopkins did very little after the first few rounds and Joe got on top. Joe beat him in his own country. Even after so much hand trouble.

  • @mizofan lol all joes victories are tainted, he never beat someone in prime. so say what you want, that is the truth. He was more concerned about keeping his 0 than making great fights.

  • @BringerOfTheTruth This "someone" also never fought Joe in his prime either! Cos he was in Europe he was underrated until he crushed Lacy (who was supposed to thrash him). Only then was the money there for any remaining top fighters- and few have been in his class, he'd dominated his division- to take him on. Of course Joe wanted more fame, respect and big money fights earlier. Kessler was a lot younger than Joe and no mug. Boxers claimed to be ready to whip Joe lost to fighters he'd beaten

  • why would he want to rematch he said he would beat 3 more people then retire.

Hopkins is never going to retire

  • Calzaghe DODGED anybody with Skillz and youth. Dawson called him out but he retired and THEN dogged Boxing as a sport!!! Coward and A Fraud!

  • oh he did? maybe he was inspired by mayweather, he dodged fights for years ;)

  • you're either a yank or a retard.

  • or a smartass......that answer...I am.

  • jones looks like an old man in this vid, it showed in the ring.

  • Why is it when someone beats these guys some people ( psychic's ) take away that win with stupid comments ( if he was younger ect.. ) the guy won PERIOD.

  • roy looks old

  • lol, no shit he's only 40

  • bernard dont look old?

  • regardless of who ducked who i believe a prime jones wud have killed calzaghe

  • lol

  • Roy Jones is my nigga, he can beat anybody.

  • Love Roy Jones Jr to the end.

  • jones was good but he beat bums when he fought calzaghe he got owned hopkins is crafty and that helped him aganist calzaghe but its not enough to beat a true fighter like joe

  • o.k. mr. boxing fan, name 5 named worthy guys excluding an old rjj and bhops, that calzaghe beat????

  • turn off those cell phones ...

  • Having faith in Jesus Christ...oh Roy.

  • Why is there doubt that he has faith in Jesus Christ. Roy talks a lot but you haven't heard about him getting in streetfights like Arturo Gatti or committing crimes like various other fighters. Dude doesn't even curse.

  • He doesn't curse? OH really? How about Hopking 60/40 and I kick yo ass, 60/40 and I tear you ass up. If you watch the fight agains Trinidad, you could read his lips as he said "Mother fucka" while looking at the ref. Don't be naive man, Roy is soo full of himself, huge ego.

  • Roy Jones Jr was Superman...

    forget Clark Kent all together...

In time his name will become more and more iconic in the sport of boxing...

    remember that!

  • i dont even think roy is 1/4 of what he used to be...but even now hes still a decent fighter

  • Now Jones is half the guy he used to be. He was unbeatable in his prime.

  • Roy in his prime would kill calzaghe

  • Calzaghe werent no spring chicken.

  • calzaghe cud neva beat roy jones when he was in his (roy jones) in his prime

  • just like jones could never beat joe in his prime, and whats more,1 is fact as we all no,the other is an oppinion, which doesnt mean a fucking thing

  • hahaha u need to stop shaggin those sheep in wales if u think calzaghe could beat roy jones in his prime

  • im not arguing with anyone but heres a fact for you. calzaghe got knocked down by an old roy jones and,he, got dropped by an old hopkins too. he beat an old jones, and he barely beat a 40 some old hopkins. what makes you think he could beat hopkins or jones jr in they're prime ?? nobody even knew who joe was until he beat lacy. calzaghe never beat anyone with a name when calzaghe was in his prime ! i only give him credit for beating kessler. then again who has kessler beat ??

  • u keep going on about hopkins and jones in their prime, also u keep pointing out their age,,well how old do u think calzaghe is,,the mans 37,hes no spring chicken himself u no,and u mite just find that joe is a little bit passed his prime aswell, yet he still wins fights, thats y u dont c his age or whether or not hes in his prime, ever mentioned,,only losers hide behind excuses,as 4 what would of happend if they had fought yrs ago,and who would have 1,well nobody nose the answer, your just guessing

  • then why did joe keep hiding until lacy... hes a cherry picker, all his record is bullshit

  • joe wasnt hiding, the simple truth is u yanks had nothing to offer in way of proper compettion for joe,and what little competition u did have, all they did was run from joe until they had nowhere else to run,and we all no what happend next, hopkins couldnt cope and resorted to cheating[disgraceful],and rjj just got completely out boxed by a far better fighter, facts dont lie, simple as that,,,cherry picker,my arse,,

  • so your sayin... now its bhop, rjj, or any other elite fighter in their prime hiding from calslappy in the 90's..? what are you smoking bro?

everyone knew bhop, rjj in the 90's, who knew about joe? joe who? and when did he even try to challenge them ?

  • fuck me do u no anything about boxing, your going on about joe and the 90s,well u mite find joe didnt win his 1st belt untill 97,what did u exspect him to do,fight jones and hopkins straight away, how about other fighters of the 90s that for some reason both hopkins and jones managed to avoid, the likes of nigel benn who went to the usa and batterd 2 of your finest fighters at the time, barkley n dewitt, not to mention mclleland,or eubank, watson, even collins, how did bh n rjj avoid all of them, wise up
