  • Her mom's name is Mrs. Russell? Really? I'm totally w/having the child by the hand too. She was way too young, to keep up, lol

  • All of you people who still have old VHS tapes of commercials and cartoons and shows from the 80s should have Holidays named after you.

There should be statues built in honor of you!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I met that bitch before when I was in a boy's home. She came through for celebrity day. That trash was hustled by her agent through the crowd of kids. She didn't even fully sign her name for me in an autograph book because her goddamn agent was moving her around so fast. Hollywood folks are garbage .

  • @flirtwd

You need to stop making stupid comments and kill yourself

  • @flirtwd

That's hilarious, you were in a "boy's home"?

    Oh G_d I can't stop laughing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @flirtwd Damn. You been storing up a lotta hate there, chief.

  • that's right, the next time I'm lost in a store I'll look for a policeman. That's the right thing to do.

  • I want the ball!

  • I always send little kids to Pedobears house when they get lost. hes always good with directions, helped me out plenty of times when i was little.

  • for your health

  • Just don't ask Uncle George!

  • THis helped me one time when I got lost in KMart.

    I loved these PSAs.

  • It's weird seeing her without her awesome juggs.

  • What a bitch of a mom! I think mommy needs a "one to grow on" lesson!

  • Loved Punky Brewster! :)

  • Oh shut up, Punky! Your mom ditched you in a grocery store and never came back!

  • i miss punky

  • I WATCH PUNKY AT MY SCHOOL SHES SO FUNNY MAN SHE GREW UP IN A BLINK OF AN EYE!!

  • OMG...DO I REMEMBER THIS...

  • What the hell? They got Soleil looking like a little boy. Couldn't they did something with her hair or added a litttle makeup? Good thing she grew out of it.

  • Nowadays an Amber Alert would be issued, the store would be locked down and everyone searched as they left the store.

  • what if there is another "Ms. Russel"? What then?

  • omg...these take me back big time!!

  • OH MY GOODESS! All of you VHS recording junkies/youtube uploaders are the best man, seriously. I forgot all about this till the melody kicked in. Brought back memories. I sure do miss playing outside afterschool and on the weekends.

  • i totally forgot about that girls face morphing into an ice cream sundae

  • This is memories!

  • The little girl looks like Dana Plato a bit...

  • lol they should've made the last clip longer and actually showed the mom running to the counter

  • It's hard to believe that Soleil would later appear MUCH older form on "Sabrina the Teenage Witch".

  • Wow i can't believe the mother just kept walking not looking to see if her kid was following right behind her, thats a nice way to have your child abducted.. very scary

  • What if the mother doesn't want you back. hmmm

  • @ilovetheruttles Yeah, my mom used to try to ditch me all the time.

  • @bjkatcher Well I guess it's too late to report her since you are probably grown. We will get her next time. LOL

  • I feel so old.

  • who calls their mom by the last name lol

  • Soleil looks WAY different here than she does on "Sabrina the Teenage Witch"!

  • Speaking of growing, Soleil grew up hot!

  • lol wow, I don't remember these, they sure don't make these like this anymore.

  • This makes me feel old.

  • Wath this program? que es este programa?? en que consistia???

  • Was there a "One to Grow On" segment about child abuse? I remember a PSA about an elderly neighbor inviting a little girl in for lemonade, setting her on his kitchen counter, and telling her it's so hot she'd be more comforable without her shirt on. Been trying to figure out what this was for years! I'm almost positive it was a short segment/commercial on television.

  • We watched that in elementary school. Maybe you did too?

  • I'm not sure. It's possible. I've been trying for years to figure out what it was. It's been posted about over on the IMDb, and other people have remembered seeing it in school. You don't happen to remember the title of the program, do you? It must have been some sort of educational child safety special.

  • This was definitely NBC Saturday Mornings in its prime.

  • yes indeed...I remember these segments..

  • Last year, I was at the beach when this stupid mom went swimming while her son was taking a nap. But he woke up, and started looking for her. She was so stupid to leave her son (Who was about 3) alone on a public beach. You wait for him to wake up! Then take him swimming with you!

  • cool!

  • who else besides me actually had the complete breakfast with the toast ceral milk and oj

  • I just put up a "Betcha Don't Know" segments on my page starring Kim Coles.

Do you remember those from Saturday mornings in the 80s?

  • PUNKY/SOLEIL actually did two "ONE TO GROW ON" segments. In the other, she is a little older and telling the world that's shots aren't scary, they're to make you feel better, etc.

  • @tracy80sgirl What are "shots" that you mentioned?

  • Damn, I miss the 80's!

  • me too..glad I grew up then.

  • Wow I remember that....what a trip!!!

  • I was 9 in 1984 and I thought Soleil Moon Frye was so pretty! I would've given up my Transformers collection just to get to kiss her one time!

  • You are not deserving of the name "Cuban Overlord"

  • It's just a screen name. You must be pretty bored, huh? Why don't you concentrate more on 80's nostalgia and less on whether or not people are deserving of their screen names?

  • What?! Your whole Transformers collection for a kiss from a girl? You realize back then that they all had cooties, don't you?

  • Oh yeah, that's right!:) Man, I miss being a kid.

  • Soleil Moon Frye was so cute! This is from 1984 I think, during NBC's Saturday Morning Cartoons right? Where did time go?

  • Remember this? Isn't this just awesome! Why do things have to change? Thanks boyboy1080 for posting. I get happy watching it and depressed at the same time. Such good childhood memories that one can only wish and go back to relive.

  • hmm I wonder if Doc Brown and his dolorean still exists ha

  • LOL...omg, that's right!!! Doc's Delorian. Set the Flux Capacitor to 1984!!!!!! Man, I miss those times. Break dancing in front of my school, trying to master the Rubik's Cube, wearing those caps with the mini-capes( remember those), wearing my Def Leppard t-shirt with the sleeves cut off, drinking Pepsi made with sugar, Buick Grand Nationals and Iroc Z28's!! Everything sucks now.

  • u aint kidding ha, especially Television one channel in particular is MTV

  • Man I miss the 80s :-(

  • Totally forgot about "one to grow on". Thanks for the memories.

  • Years later, Frye appeared on "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" playing the role a college roommate and close friend of Melissa Joan Hart's character of Sabrina on the show.

  • In cases like this, it's the parents responsibility to make sure your child is ALWAYS within your eyesight. I hold my son's hand no matter where we are. And if I'm not holding his hand, he's walking right beside me or in front of me where I can see him. Just the other day, some doofy woman was running around the store crying and looking for a missing child. The child didn't just vanish into thin air. No, she TOOK her eyes off him. A parents back should never face a young child.

  • love the honey nut cheerios commeirel

  • "OK, we'll find her in a jiffy!"

  • Soleil also did the voice of Punky on the cartoon TV show version of her on Saturday mornings.

  • How ironic? Soleil having a PSA about children losing their parent at a shopping center, and it makes me wonder why Punky didn't do this, instead of being giving a coin from a woman, and walking away.

  • It sort of forshadow's the 1st ep. of Punky where Punky tells Henry she lost her mom. "Punky" should have taken Soleil's advice and asked the store clerk where her mom was.

But then we wouldn't have a show because her mom would have been found.

  • Punky's mom wouldn't have been found because she was abandoning her child and didn't want to be found.

  • Yeah, how's that for irony? Did they intentionally choose SMF to do this spot for that reason? LOL

  • Just a weird coincidence!

  • was that before punky brewster show?

  • i think its before punky, i've read it was from 1983

  • No, it probably was after Punky.

  • it couldnt have been after punky. in the last season of punky she looks alot older than in this...i think it was before

  • @boyboy1080 Yes, it was, but not before punky

  • @emilie428 This PSA was actually done around the second season of Punky Brewster.

  • @emilie428 No

  • What year was this?

  • 1984

  • wow this brings back memories that was so good not like now they dont really teach kids anything on tv anymore.

  • Kids today need stuff like ONE TO GROW ON. I'm orry people but there are some parents who just don't care about their kids. Look at how the mother TOLD her daughter to follow her. NO, YOU TAKE YOUR KIDS HAND and then walk with them in hand and in front or at your side. At least a kid that small and that age.

  • Totally agree!

  • @afrodyetie Punky always had a good fair outlook on life and always a lesson or moral at the end of each episode. I agree, there really isn't anything like that on nowadays.
