  • dude, youre SOOOO high right now....

  • wtf

  • fucking shit !

  • haha look right at 0:19

  • awesome. dude the best lesson so far keep them coming

  • thanks man

  • You suck! xD

  • Thx alot! love this song

  • Thanks nick ._.

  • You're a good guitar player, but you totally disregarded beginners. They'd already have to know how to competently play guitar before watching your video.

It's definitely a "guitar lesson" for people who already know how to play guitar.

By the way, disregard the "you suck" comments from the a**holes on this site. It seems the internet brings out the worst in people, and they say things they would never say to anyone's face.

  • Thank you. I have been disregarding them. You have a valid point, but the way I see it, beginner lessons are for beginner songs.

  • not the real way. And you're bad!

  • sorry bro, thxs for the lesson, but John F doesn't play it that way... grab the guitar pro version of 911 tabs... you'll see... txs for posting peace

  • fuckin A'

  • some parts you sucked at but some parts you helped me learn so thanks.

  • i dont get the ref

  • wow dude that last part you sucked it up

  • molto benne chupame la polla

  • You are not correct. tell me that im wrong... thats what i thought! your not that good. i hate how all these 10 year old kids think that they know enough to teach it to someone else.

  • to bad hes like 15 asshole...

  • muito bom

  • The bridge is Bm G D A if i recall right,or is it a other combo but those are the chords :)

  • No I'm pretty sure I have it right.

  • Not the way John Frusciante playes it :P

  • I'm pretty sure you're wrong.

  • Check out John Frusciante Dani California on Youtube. The way you play it is not the way he plays it.

  • he is not wrong... you know nothing and you suck at guitar.

  • How long did you play?

And: Do you think it is feasible to play without a teacher? (YT and books)

  • At the time this video was made I had been playing guitar a little over a year and a half. Dani California was actually one of the earlier songs I learned.

  • As for your other question, teaching yourself is definitely possible, but I would strongly reccomend getting a teacher for at least a month or two because it's much easier to teach yourself if you already know the basics.

  • can u please show the intro in tabs please. i really dont know how to play chords

  • For the Am chord you bar your index finger across the 5th fret, ring finger on the 7th fret of the A string, and pinky on the 7th fret of the D string. Then move that chord shape to the 3rd fret on the low E and add your middle finger to the 4th fret G string for G major. Put that same shape on the 5th fret of the A string for Dm. Hope that helps.

  • omg.. this sucks so hard, sorry dude

  • Well, assuming I deciphered your grammar correctly, anything by Lynyrd Skynyrd has three guitars in it.

  • everythings perfect but solo but it still sounds good

  • You got the solo wrong but othervise a kinda good lesson. :)

  • it's all wrong, perfect

  • yes

  • is ur band on youtube

  • We were working on putting some originals up for a while but now I think we'er just going to make a facebook group instead. Not sure yet.

  • im a starter plz tell me where my fingers go for the power cords

  • A tabbed out F5 (or F power chord) in the first position looks like this:

    d:3

    a:3

    E:1

Then just move that shape so that the root (the first fret of the low E string in this case) is on the note I said and you'll have it down.

  • Also to play a bar chord, take a power chord and make it so that your 1st finger frets ever string. Then leave it like that for the A minor, but add your middle finger to the 4th fret G string for the G major and to the 6th fret B string for the D minor. It makes more sense when you see it in the video.

  • tell me where my fingers go for the chorus

  • cool man thatz some class guitaring, a bit hard for me though yet lol, Well done A++

  • pretty good lesson i picked up a lot of good info.

  • Thanks

  • you did the solo 2 fast but good ass lesson

  • thax yyou taut me alot

  • no offense but the chorus sounds just a little bit off.

  • I'm pretty sure it's right. Maybe the rythm is a little off.

  • oh, i see it now. its hard to hear the exact rhythm on the song, but you have the chords right. i just got confused because you didn't mention the slide from the second to the third chord. also, john frusciante is a god and what he does is hard to follow.

  • Agreed; he is a God.

  • Plz can u send me the tabs for the verse?

    nice video

  • sounds a bit shit at times

  • Yeah, sorry about that. We recorded it with Nick's computer so we knew it wasn't going to be good.

    -Phil

  • - Me and Phil share the acount -

Theres nothing wrong with my computer. You need recording stuff to get a good instruments sound. So no more complaining about my computer. - Nick

  • not bad.

  • A lot of this is very wrong. I think you should learn how to play it properly yourself before instructing others. You're not a bad player, but it just isnt right.

  • Ok...Like what? I'll try to fix it if i can.

    -Phil

  • Some minor mistakes in the verse fills, and the end of the solo is off. The verse fills for instance, have a few notes missing. There are some very good tabs on UG

  • OK. Thanks!

    -Phil

  • No problem, Im sure you will have no problem learning the parts :)

  • i can barely hear u. here, have 5 stars because i feel like it.
