  • My dad has one of these (GLS), it's been a very good car. Ugly as shit but damn i had no idea it could top the speedo! thats fantastic!

  • I had a 1994 elantra and loved the thing, It was bullet proof except the garbage tranny, the bands started to get loose and slip and the tranny shop said they cant even be tighted :(

  • Bardzo przyjemnie leci :)

  • Now i own one of these cars......and i do not think they are supposed to go this fast lolol

  • @vanle

Agree, the two small dishbrakes in front are hardly enough to get an 1.6 liters to stop in time:)

  • fuck yoou got ballz

  • i have a 1997 hyundai lantra 1.8 and i cant get it past 175.... and why does yours rev so low at such a high speed ?

  • SHIT SON YA'LL GOIN LIKE SHIT OFF A SHOVEL IN JUNE.

  • eres una makina fiera jodeer no veas lo k anda tu coche eres el mejor :)

  • I got a lantra of 93, 16 petrol and it is one of the smouthest and confortable car i ever drove, past 100 km, u just feal like flying, i recomend people to try it out to bieleve it !!!!!!!

  • I had a uk 1.6GLSi 1993 - in peacock green...

5 Speed Manual 133MPH indicated speed...

can anyone beat that? nice at high speed, very true, bit noisy tho

  • @billmalta1 You should try the rover 400 series (RT model)

  • they are a great little car. im very much a ford v8 man all of my life, then when i met my wife she had a 96 lantra. 7 years later we still have it and i drive it every day 276809 klm on the clock never even had the cyl head off..

  • I think it really travelled at 220km/hr. No one should underestimate the speed feat of a 'supposedly inferior' car just because it's Korean. Korean cars are also durable, fuel efficient and comfortable.

  • fuel efficient my ass...had a hyundai lantra 1.6 and that had a consumption of 15 l/100km normal driving.

  • i quess in that case your car is pretty much broken if ti takes 15l/100km.

Mine takes ~8-9l/100km average. And its without catalysator and oxygen sensor.

  • @noreec man, something really wasn't good with your car..my 1.6 lantra must not go over 9l/100 of mixed driving.

  • good job its not an Elantra then. It's a LANTRA. The Lantra came before the E-Lantra.

  • thats crazy, i dont know how it stays on the road hehe, there such a light car :P

  • my is 1.6 glsi 96 red i got one video with hem . on my videos

  • sucks

  • Everybody needs a Lantra. I've got one of 92'!

  • i've got a 99 and its perfect

  • my ass....

  • Substract cca 10-15 km/h from the speedometer and you'll get the real top speed.

  • sure, sbubstract in all cars... you must be another american because they are the only who says hyundai, who knows maybe you still drinving in your shoes.

  • All speedometers lie, even the brand new digital ones, like in an S class Merc.

Actually I'm european. I wouldn't be using km/h as a unit of speed in my previous post if I were an american, now would I? And what exactly did you mean by "..because they are the only who says hyundai.."?

  • it is great car, i was 1,8 GLI - 215 km/h

  • mijn lantra wil 210 96 1.6 16v

  • I got a Hyundai 97...its good on gas

  • All summer :)

  • how long it take to reach such speed
