  • The most beautiful voice in the world!

  • One of the greatest female vocalist of all time!

  • One of my favourites and definitely the song of the evening!!!

  • Alan Gordon does not get enough attention or credit for writing this wonderful song.

  • Feeling right now exactly what is described in this song... The best song for divorce..

  • A voice above all others!

  • beautiful song

  • My favorite among many many Barbra songs. How is it she can make it so easy to understand her when all of the IDIOTS you hear today just sound like jibberish? Now if Barbra and Anita Baker could do a duet I really could never listen to another piece of music ever again.

  • One day I may create a book that shines feeling as much as this some does! Listen and you can feel the passion coming out of her voice. A true artist! Angel Boy (EXLIBRIS)

  • @plaetoe Why would you say such things? Every pro-people policy in this country, was created by Liberals.

  • @Monrocsol YES!!! So true. I don't get how anyone would support a policy that so clearly is against them. They must hate themselves I guess...then they turn it inside out and blame others. More convenient to misdirect your source of pain. I like your thinking platoe. You speak the truth.

  • @GAMOM2 Thanks, I like yours! LOL.

  • @plaetoe .I feel the same, and you are 100% correct re her POLITICS. She does have the most perfect singing voice. Always loved her singing. Just wish she would change her views on POLITICS.

  • @helenw4 She will not. Why don't you change yours?

  • So sad that this would never be a number 1 song now....

  • I was in love or believed I was and thought I was loved. But when I put my paratrooper on the plane in G-boro, NC, in '78, this song was on the J-box. I was sending him home to Flat River, MO, it's when I knew, "My heart blonged to me." Barbara you said it so well. I was 27 and he 18, what did he know about love, or myself for that matter. My heart still belongs to me..after 40 years, I would gladly give it to my trooper again. I wonder if his heart still belongs to him?

  • me too i grow up listening to old jams and Ms B. can sing her A*s off she's great i loved her in meet the fockers and little fockers......her voice is pure and unique no other person can compare she sings so clearly u can understand each word she says and she sings it from her heart u can sense it u will be drawn to her u will

  • Stellar production!!! This was when instruments sounded like real instruments. Unlike most of today's popular music.

  • @bassmanjoe Ain't that the Truth! Streisand's voice puts all the current whiny belters to shame. Nobody comes close to matching her power, skill, and the god-given tone of her vocal instrument.

  • I was 8 or 9 years old when i inherited a big batch of 45's (records) from the jukebox in my grandparents diner. This song, i think, was the flip side of the 45 of Evergreen. I was a little kid totally in awe of her voice and her phrasing. Barbara Streisand was perfection to me.

  • "Can we believe in fairy tales ? Can love survive when all else fails ?"

    *sigh*

  • I love her politics and her voice. Thanks for speaking up Barbra!

  • Simply Beautiful!!!

  • i used to sing "pin my love" when i was 3 instead of didn't you love me. love this song

  • Hit #1 AC, #4 pop in Billboard. God bless!

  • perfection. deeply poignant memories for me, too. this was my childhood. i hear this and remember having that LP playing and just marveling at her voice and phrasing. it still blows me away. it's so wonderful. there is something special about this album. i still just think it's in my top 5 alltime. her voice is sublime!

  • @lisamj You are right about this album and voice, she rates #1 in my books. It's amazing she has never had a lesson and can't read a note of music! But she sure can belt out the tunes and her voice is pure and true.

  • @lisamj could not have said it better. me too

  • @lisamj so many times in hearing Streisand, one says, it cannot get any better, and yet, at 68, she comes out with Where Do You Start or Gentle Rain and at 69 with Windmills of Your Mind or Solitary Moon. She astonishes us over and over again. So many years of pleasure. She's the best.
