i'd like to learn more about knees, ankles and foot, it's interesting to see in this video that the right heel is lifted just before jumping to the right and left heel lifted just before jumping to the left regardless of the supposed weight transfer to the left leg at the end to the forehand stroke
Hi, im trying to build my footwork, but im falling behind. Because of this, it's not allowing me to play my full game. I can't keep up with every ball, and im quite slow on some occations. PLEASE HELP MEEE!
@bballman237 The key is to start practicing with small movements. Have your training partner place one ball to your forehand and then one ball slightly to the side. This will get you moving. Once you become comfortable with this you can increase the distance.
If you've got any more questions then try using the Ask the Coach section of our website. That way all of your questions are recorded so you can look back over them at a later date. A lot of players find that useful.
Hey, Thanks a bunch for this video, Ive been training for about half year, and I seem to be having quite trouble moving my feet correctly but your video gives an easy explanation of how to do it
i think your suggest is not so practical to most of us....I wish I could go there...even Waldner went there to train during his younger days. For us average people.... Pingskill is very helpfull....
Thanks for your interest in our videos. Yes we do have advanced footwork on our list of future lessons. So make sure you subscribe to our channel so you can see when we add new videos.
Actually you just need to have your knees shoulder width apart. Getting it wider won't change anything but comfort. It's just your preference to have your legs wider than shoulder width.
Why am I an idiot? It's true man. If you look at pros most of them have there knees shoulder width apart. If you look at Timo Boll, you stretches widely. It's just a matter of preference. You're the idiot. I think you're a recreational player... I've played Table Tennis for 6 years. I should know this stuff.
@tabletennisplaya According to youtube, real credentials don't count. :( Not dissing you, just helping you understand some of the stupidity around here. as if "here" was a real place lol
nice shuffle :D

@manudehanoi Yeah I think that Alois makes this movement just to ensure he is balanced before pushing off.

How do I side step like the pros? When I observe them, they also never push off. It's like they just side step with lower trajectory or something.

my club has concrete floors, not floorboards, they're much harder on your feet, so the next day i can barely walk >_>
