I don't know what text problem you're referring to but Civ V sucks ass on the 13". I just downloaded Civ V (on an early 2011 MBP Intel HD Graphics 3000) and it crashes so often it's unusable. I read that Firaxis recently added the Intel HD Graphics Chipset to the list of supported graphics processors but until this gets fixed I would recommend not buying.

I just tested the game again and messed around with the graphic settings. For the expansion pack "Beyond Swords," you can't have anti-aliasing on at all. You can have the resolution set to the highest, and all graphics set to high as well. You'll have flickering trees and awkward square movement pieces.
Bought Civilization 4 full collection edition from Steam and I've witnessed some hiccups when you zooming all the way out to the global view. Also, the expansion pack "beyond the sword" doesn't run at all on this machine. It fails to reveal the actual game once you make your choice for leaders and planets. The load screen overlay stays and the background is black. I hear the clicks and sounds of my characters, but nothing else.
Let's just hope a patch comes out to fix this issue.
i love dolphin emu, i use it under ubuntu with my desktop and i very happy to see the entry level macbook pro run it very smooth, can u try with new super mario bros o mario galaxy?
