People keep saying that Jordan won his first ring at 28 but they often forget that MJ went to college for 2 or so years. Lebron is 27. He got to the NBA straight from high school therefore he's had more years in the league than MJ and he still has no rings.
@guitarpianofreak18 We aren't forgetting that he went to college. Our point is that its not as if LeBron has no chance at winning 4+ championships now. MJ won 6 after the age of 28. If LeBron is 27, he still has plenty of time to win multiple championships.
@BigdogH201 Delonte West is a decent role player. Not a star player. Ilgauskas and Shaq are pretty good centers considering how bad centers usually are in the league. Antawn Jamison is talented too. But that still isn't good enough for a championship team.
Shaq had Kobe, Jordan had Pippen, Bird had McHale+Parrish, Magic had Kareem+Worthy, Duncan had Parker+Ginobili or Robinson. Pierce had Allen+KG. AJ, Shaq, Big Z, and Delonte don't compare to those guys.
@LazerJet27 You missed my point....I didnt say Lebron had a stack team...but he had comparable players to win an NBA title. In this generation. Had those Cavs played in the 90s and early millenium..they never would've had a chance.....but the afromentioned guys were good enough to win a title. In this watered down era with zone defenses and lane violation. Plus, I said Delonte West shooting only and anknowledge that Shaq was out of his prime!!!
@BigdogH201 Okay yeah, he had a decent supporting cast in 2010. He could've won a title with them, but it would have been very tough. As we all saw, once he left they became one of the worst teams in the league. Its sufficient, but still a weak cast. I think it would have been possible, but I don't think any player in this league if put in LBJ's position could have led any of the 2003-2010 Cavs teams to a championship.
@BigdogH201 I think you mean Zydrunas. But they did not matter nearly as much. Honestly, how many more wins do you think they would have gotten if they still kept Zydrunas and Shaq? Both Big Z and Big Shamrock were in their last years, they could no longer contribute much, Varejao was far better.I said any player in this league, MJ is not currently in this league. I mean Kobe, Carmelo, Durant, Dwight, Rose, Wade, Paul, Dirk, Love, Amare, Deron, etc. could not have done it.
@BigdogH201 But think about the Celtics and Lakers supporting casts, they were much stronger than the Cavs'.
Sure, the Cavs have some great role players, but the Lakers and Celtics have that as well in ADDITION to other All-Stars. Kobe had Pau and Bynum. Rondo had Pierce, Allen, and Garnett. LeBron had no one even comparable to those players. Then the Lakers had the sixth man of the year in Odom and had Artest. Celtics had Shrek and Donkey. They were simply better teams.
@GoonyzTakinFlight I know. I'm just saying that people seem to think LeBron will only win 1 or 2 championships at most because he's already been in the league for 8 years and hasn't won one. But they forget that MJ won his rings later in his career.
@noopz0r My point is that LeBron is younger than Jordan, and if he were to win a ring this year, he would actually be ahead of Jordan's pace for championships.
I realize that he had more years in the league already because he came from High School. But the more important thing to consider is that after a certain point, players start to decrease in production rapidly and end up with few opportunities to win more. So if Jordan won 6 rings after 28. LeBron has time to win lpenty too.
@LazerJet27 Ok, now I'll explain what I meant, stop comparing freakin' LeBron to the likes of Jordan, LeBron is the next Pippen at best, Wade is Jordan for Miami, it's Wade's team, LeBron's ring in case he wins will be just the same as Lamar's rings for the Lakers, the ring for contribution and support provided for the real Man on the roster, which is Wade. Period.
And LeBron is not Michael Jordan, but he is definitely far far better than Scottie Pippen. And also, Wade and LeBron are far more of a partnership rather than a leader and sidekick like MJ and Scottie.
To even compare LeBron to Lamar Odom is insensible! Would you say Kobe's rings with Shaq were just like Lamar's? Would you say Kareem's rings with Magic were just like Lamar's?
@LazerJet27 Ok, let me get this straight, until LeBron wins the ring and maybe even two and does it as the man on the roster, I will never admit that he is better than anyone and anywhere, until now he is a pure FAIL, Pippen always was better than LeBron, Lamar - less talent, but found his place and was an essential piece in two chamionships, Kobe/Shaq - maybe the best combo in the history of NBA, Shaq said it himself. About Kareem and Magic... just don't repeat that ever again...
@noopz0r That is BLASPHEMY! To say that LeBron IS NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE?! You are saying LeBron James is the worst player in the league? That's not even fathomable.
How can he be a completely pure fail if he's averaging 29 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds. Pippen was never anywhere near LeBron. I can't believe you would even say that.
@LazerJet27 Man, you're very bad at understanding, "anyone and anywhere" I meant the greatest players, of course I'm not talking about Kwame Brown, are you even serious?! He's a pure fail compared to Kobe, the purest! Now really try hard and undertsand, LeBron James is a talented player, but you know how many talented people are there, thousands and maybe millions, but I talk about achievements, avarage stats is not the same thing as winning it all, never was, never will be. Period. Pippen 6.
@noopz0r Well I'm not psychic, so I don't understand how you think I would understand that "anyone" means "greatest players".
LeBron James is the best player in the league right now, Kobe isn't even top 5.
And the fact that you are even bringing up the championships argument is simply idiotic. Bill Russell has 11 championships, does that mean he's better than Michael Jordan? Kareem Abdul Jabbar was a 6 time champion and an 18x All Star, is he better than Michael jordan?
@LazerJet27 "LeBron James is the best player in the league right now, Kobe isn't even top 5."
Kobe is the best player in the league until he rerires, stop bitching about it, he just is, he is the most skilled player, he has 16 years of experience and still plays through injuries and age and stays on top, scored 40+. I don't care about expert and voting, give people enough free will and they elect Hitler, don't give me that as an argument.
@LazerJet27 Now to comparing players... You just don't do that, MJ was the best when he played, Kobe is the best after MJ, it's as simple as that, Kobe has fewer rings but he did do some other things that Jordan never did, it's all about circumstances, the players are as great as the league allows them to be, MJ was never compared to active "King" James and didn't have to witness fucking bloggers bitching about him, Kobe does, it takes his greatness away evry time.
@noopz0r Kobe is not the second greatest player of all time. You have players like Russell, Kareem, Shaq, Wilt, Magic, and Larry. I don't put Kobe above any of them. To put Kobe above Oscar Robertson, Isiah Thomas, Jerry West, Tim Duncan, etc. is already an achievement. But Kobe has never dominated the league in the sense that those other players I listed have.
@LazerJet27 Kareem, get him in the post, sky hook and its over. Magic is a point guard who played center and still scored 40+ points and won the NBA Finals. How can you put Kobe over players like these? Kobe is a top 10 greatest player of all time, but definitely not second of all time.
@noopz0r The fact that you are complaining that bloggers take away Kobe's greatness is laughable. Michael Jordan is better than Kobe by a longshot. The amount of championships have nothing to do with it. There are 12-15 players on a team, there are 5 players on the court at the same time. No player can do it alone, the rings and championships are a TEAM accomplishment not an individual one. MJ couldn't even do it individually, he needed Scottie. Rings are not a measure of greatness.
@noopz0r "players are as great as the league allows them to be". Michael Jordan says he could score 100 points in today's league. Today's league has much tougher rules for fouls, in which if MJ played, he would be untouchable when he drives into the lane. The teams Kobe is facing throughout his career aren't nearly as competitive as the ones Michael had to play. 86 Celtics beat 2010 Celtics easily. And winning a championship over Dwight Howard and his minimal supporting cast? Yippee.
@LazerJet27 Wait a minute, MJ also said who would not allow Kobe's 81, and let me tell you, MJ was a great player, and he sees he is constantly compared to modern player, his comments are quite clear to me, he has pride, that pride made him great, but he can't play anymore so now all he can do is say somethings to the media, and you just have to give him credit for his career, and not discuss all of his comments... :)
@LazerJet27 About the rings, of course it's ALL about team, Kobe - Shaq, than Kobe, Gasol and Bynum and actually good bench, but I am talking about the players that led teams through regular season and then stepped up in the playoffs, I'm talking about leaders, at first it was Shaq with LA, but as we see even one of the greatest players couldn't handle the pressure of changing his role to the second guy.
@LazerJet27 And again, all I see is what if, what if not, I talk about fact, MJ never scored so many points in a game, he was a horrible ball hog when he was young, do you see anyone mention that ever?! That's the whole point, Kobe has tons of haters, LeBron has tons of haters, it's just the way it is right now, MJ never had to face this kind of environment, that's just a fact. Period.
@LazerJet27 MJ never scored even close to 100, and talking about how the old teams would win against the present ones, are you kidding me?! Did you ever notice that people evolve in years? That's why all the records get broken at some point, that's the whole thing, MJ won't be the greates forever, it just doesn't happen that way, and I also doubt that you can point out one GOAT. Kobe said it himself, it's an honnor to be in the discussion, that's all we need to know...
@LazerJet27 And one more, you say Kobe hasn't been dominationg the league?! Are you serious?! All players agree and have done that for the decade by now, that Kobe is the most clutch and the most dangerous offensive force in the league, don't you see how they defend him?! Teams have special sets only about the defence on Kobe Bryant. Man, all I can say, less theory, just watch the game and enjoy it.
P.S. Kobe is right there with MJ, stop denying it, it get ridiculous...
@noopz0r Kevin Durant, Amare Stoudemire, Steve Nash, Charles Barkley, Elgin Baylor, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Derrick Rose, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tim Hardaway, Chris Webber, Chris Mullin, Nate Thurmond, Dominique Wilkins, Patrick Ewing, George Gervin, Allen Iverson, Pete Mavarich, Deron Williams, Carmelo Anthony, and Russell Westbrook all don't have championships. Does that mean they are all "pure fails" because they only averaged stats but didn't win it all?
@LazerJet27 Oh my goodness, Bill Russell was the man, and here you have to understand that you gave an example of a person with multiple rings, MJ has fewer, but he has multiple, so has Tim Duncan, so has Kobe, and so have guys like Robert with ice in his veins, all the guys you named - good players, elite players. But they are no match to the group of guys like MJ, Kobe, Russell, Wilt, Magic, Bird, you have to understand that, you just have to... I love AI, but he is no match.
@noopz0r Alright, well LeBron is going to win championships. He may be Finals MVP, or it might be Wade, that is left to be determined. But to think LBJ won't win a single championship with the Heat is ridiculous. To consider the possiblity is fine, but to write him off as a failure is inconceivable.
And how is not being the sole leader a failure? Are Ray and KG failures? Are Manu and Tony failures? Are Scottie and Dennis failures? Are McHale and Parrish failures?
@LazerJet27 Now I see the problem, finally, the thing about LeBron... I wouldn't say a single word about him in a negative way of course, if the Media didn't praise him like a King from the start, I do understand that he is a good all-around player, he is a playmaker. But it's been 9 years, can you still say he is extraordinary?! Can you still sya that?! Kobe earned his ring earlier, maybe not as a leader, but still as the second guy.
@LazerJet27 Now put Kobe aside, it's just LeBron, he is acting like he is already a champion, it's his business maybe, but it just leaves and impression, impression that follows him everywhere, this hype about him that stronger than his impact on the game, that is the THING here, the hype of LeBron is stronger than his actual presence in the game. That's the only problem with LeBron, that's why I called him a FAIL, not because he is not talented.
@LazerJet27 And you had to notice I said "so far", it means that only "so far" he has been a fail, when he wins at least 2 of them, I'll admit he is a great player, but until then I don't even see the point in comparing LeBron to the greatest players, it's just "laughable"... lol... xD
@LazerJet27 Now to the chosen one, mister James, he came into the league as a God, the most talanted player, I have a question for you, does Kobe care about LeBron when he scores 40+ points and wins his rings, NO, did Tim Duncan care, NO, did, Dirk care NO, but somehow you care... talking about pure fails, the guys you named, didn't act like Kings, cuz they knew their place, they didn't say they would win 7 rings, they just came up short, it happens sometimes.
@noopz0r Actually Charles Barkley claimed he was going to win a championship in an interview after a game. Shaq promised multiple rings too. Kobe said they would beat the Mavs last year, win 4 straight after being down 3-0. LeBron makes a little joke and you guys all bash him for it. If the Heat were down 3-0 to the Bulls and LeBron says they would win he would be ridiculed. Kobe says it and its like "thats the killer instinct".
@LazerJet27 None of the Heat fans are actually holding LeBron to his words of 8 championships. We want the Heat to win a few, none of us are actually going to be upset if they don't win 8 championships, we aren't going to take that seriously. Yet all the haters care more about it. You know Shaq promised multiple rings to Miami but left without ever helping them get a 2nd one.
@noopz0r First off, if Kobe Duncan and Dirk don't care if someone else wins the championship instead of them, then thats bad. But no if they aren't in the Finals, they won't mind. And I doubt they will be upset if LeBron does well in the regular season. You say I care so much, why do you? Seems like you think LeBron is a failure and will not win championships. Rather than just insulting him and exaggerating facts, how about you just let it play out and see if he wins rings.
@LazerJet27 And again man, we are talking about LeBron, how come are there Kareem, Magic, Kobe in the same discussion, Kobe Bryant is just so much better than LeBron that I can't even put it into words, and they are playing at the same time, Kobe is older, he is injured, he is critisised for being a ball hog and look at what he does, scores 48, 40 and he won 2 rings when LeBron was MVP and had best record in the league, LeBron fails 2 4th quarters as if last year didn't happen, you do the math.
@noopz0r You said that since Wade is the leader of the team, LeBron is just like Lamar Odom. So I am asking you if you somehow feel Kareem was just like Odom since it was Magic Johnson's team.
LeBron was MVP, but he did not have the supporting cast that Kobe had. Don't even try to argue that, you know it and I know it, LeBron did not have a proper championship team supporting cast. Derrick Rose was MVP last season, but he didn't win the championship either, that doesn't mean he failed
for those that discredit scottie pippen, this is what former teammate ron harper to SI in '99, "Everybody talks about MJ first, but Pip had a more all-around game. Defense, offensive rebounds, defensive boards: Pip made the game easier for us to play."
I disagree with Stephen A. Pippen was in his prime. Pippen came in the league in 1987. How can the last year of his prime be 6 years later?!! Skip Bayless was right, Pippen left the bulls in 98 and was terrible. He was trash in portland, all Im saying is if your nice your game doesnt fall of that much in one year. Pippen relied on his atheism his whole career.Never perfected his jumper and post moves, thats why when he got older he disappeared. Pippen without MJ isnt top 50 more like Vince carter
@IOHHVid "How can the last year of his prime be 6 years later?" - here's a little math for you: 1998-1987= ELEVEN. Not 6. Six years into the league, Scottie Pippen was absolutely in his prime, which was Stephen A's point. In 1993-94 (Pippen's 7th season), at age 29, Pippen's Bulls won 55 games (only two less than the previous year WITH Jordan. Also Pippen missed 10 games in 93-94 due to injury). 1994 Pippen in his prime without Jordan = 55 wins, All-Star MVP, and deep playoff run.
For those saying Pippen wouldnt of won a title without Jordan that maybe true, but remember a great player cant win titles on his own.. If you was to put Jordan on the floor with 4 other average players he wouldnt of won anything.. Just saying
@RapveOnProjectTV Might have a point there sir, Still MJ was the captain for a reason.I take Pippen over James any day of the week. MJ and Pippen one of the best duo In NBA history. You must respect both of them, Still what Pippen said was crap. I agree with A Smith all the way.
@RaveOnProjectTV You actually don't even have to tell them that. He actually was put on the floor with 4 average players in the beginning of his career, and he couldn't even make it to the Finals for the first 6 years of his career. Those people who actually remember Jordan as better than he really was, as some type of God, simply point to his early career.
I found it hard to believe, but people are overrating the GOAT.
Skip said what I have been saying for years.. If there was no such thing as Michael Jordan, the Chicago Bulls don't win ANY championships, let alone six of them, and Scottie Pippen is NOT one of the All-Time 50 players. PERIOD!
These two are great together and complement each other better than any other Duo! They're like Thunder and Lighting Peas and Carrots Batman & Robin, Shreik and Donkey?? %@ I hope ESPN keeps Steven A on full time!! he's the only analyst that keeps Skip in line!
I totally agree with Skip. If you look at other past great players like Barkley, Doc J, J West, and even Rick Berry, They had better all around stats at age 33 and above than Pippen did. And yet Pippen only had about 12 ppg from 1998 to 2004. 33 isn't prime but it isnt tahat far off. Even Dirk had more pts too at 33 than Pippen. Look, Pippen never won a title without Jordan too.
Not only is Skip wrong about Scottie but he also says that LeBron has "better all around skills than Michael". That may be more egregious than his Pippen which is saying something. LeBron should be a better rebounder than MJ was, he's a forward. Passing is the only place where LeBron may be superior than MJ.
I feel that you gotta value Scottie's opinion cuz he was there...plain and simple and he is watching LeBron and comparing, as a matter of fact I can almost bet that a lot of old school cats will say the same thing as Scottie.
Also remember the year that wade had to go the majority of the season without Shaq and then when he came back they got blown out by the chicago bulls(who aren't half the team they are now) then the next season they had the worst record in the league and only won like 15 games. The sixers, nuggets, pistons, and grizzlies never had a record like that, not since his rookie year when the team only won 20 something games.
@blacktee31 Why are u even arguing with that Moron the Majority of the World would Take Dwade of Iverson anyday Dwade in todays game is prbly the Best all around Player and is way easier to build a team with the reason Iverson had mad points is beacuse he took twice has may shot his feild goal% is Horrible Lmfao and Dwade is a Beast only player to average most points in the Finals 37 points Now thats a Finals Mvp now Iverson a great Player Hall of Fame but Wade is already more than that already
@JCam4mvp Lol so you have to insult me because you disagree. Iverson averaged 46% for most of his career from the field so that's a lie, even when he was taking less shots he still averaged better than 28 ppg. Wade is not there yet IMO, maybe you should respect that instead insulting people that you disagree with. Iverson is also second all time in playoff ppg average. With Philly his FG% wasn't that great but that was mostly because Brown built the offense around AI so he takes the most shots.
The biggest name that was ever around Iverson was Carmelo Anthony and they went to the playoffs that year and lost, not because A.I. failed to carry the team to a win, but because Melo loves to take that same pull up jumper without having dribbled the ball once. They lost to SA (who won the west) and then lost the next year to the Lakers (who won the west) and it was down hill from there.
I never liked that crooked face skin tight fade rockin faggot!Pippen showed his true mettle in Portland and Houston n b4 that showed he had bitch tendencies when he was in Chi(Phil knew thats y he drew the play up for Kukoc n he was soft!)This obviously a case of him havin sour grapes towards Mike cause he broke now and MJ aint hit him off.just like a bitch but I aint suprized smfh!
Scottie still balled without Michael in 1993-1994, but Stephen A is wrong to suggest they would have won it all. Hakeem the Dream would have been too much for them.
@loplification 93-94: Did they win the NBA Championship? MJ made Scottie Pippen better and everyone else around him better. Toni Kukoc, John Paxson, Horace Grant, and many others. Michael was a leader and only motivated his team. Lebron (The Choken One), basically has an All-Star lineup and refuses to shoot the ball, when his team needs him the most come clutch time, when they face the Dallas Mavricks, this past June. Lebron is not even close to Michael Jordan, or even Kobe Bryant.
@loplification I do consider Scottie Pippen one of the top 50 players of all-time, I'll give ya that. But I'm just saying his career wouldn't have been diffrent, if it wasn't for Jordan.
@loplification 1993 nba playoffs - MJ leads Bulls to NBA Championship. 1994 nba playoffs, bulls exit in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Crap teams have had 50 something records, only to get blown out in the playoffs. The playoffs is where superstars are born, and MJ is one of a kind.
@loplification That alone doesn't make Scottie a top 50 player. They had a great team..even better from 96-98. But I also seen time after time again Jordan single handedly carry that team to a win. 1998 in Utah when Scottie was going back to the locker room because of back trouble. Jordan (wayyy past his prime) won them that game 6 to win the ring. Thats just one example. Get off Scottie's balls. You are giving him WAY too much credit.
I still don't think that Pippen could win a ring without Jordan during Jordan first retired. But anyway Im glad that he didnt win because if he does win he would talk so much shit to Jordan.
Pippen was jealous that MJ had been called by a lot of people as The Batman and Him as the Robin and He had said a few years ago that he played a more important role than MJ
i generally agree with skip (oops), but he really needs to stop using the "i was in chicago/dallas/wherever" thesis to bolster his argument. its probably the weak link in his otherwise strong points
@co659017 What exactly do you mean phsyical ability.........see that's the shit people be saying physical ability What are yall talking about...........What he got a bigger body so what a lot of people got that over Jordan
@scienceatheism "Lebron sucks dude." So I take it you can be the number 1 pick in the nba draft and become an all-star, scoring champ, and mvp no problem? Losing the championship game has nothing to do with him by himself as a player, he's not a choke artist. And I say this as someone who doesn't even like Lebron.
Yeah because people who arnt something cant judge someone in the public eye, that also means judging fucking barack obama and george bush was a bad fucking move wasnt it sense im not a president or i havnt won a political debate. If you are a basketball player you put yourself in a position to where you skills are judged. By anyone and everyone! The heat had a great defense in the finals, wade was playing like a beast and James was fucking abscent.
@scienceatheism That has nothing to do with sucking PERIOD. You don't accomplish all that or even make it into the NBA if you suck. And Skip Bayless is a fuckin retard.
There are plenty of sucky individuals who make it to the NBA. And if you are branded king you are put at a higher level then anybody else out there, if you dont at least mantain that level of play in the most crucial time of your NBA career, you fucking suck.
@scienceatheism So you're saying anyone can make it into the nba? If so you've just lost credibility with me. And if you're saying lebron sucks because he doesn't meet your expectations, then you've lost creditability. They don't give MVP awards to players that suck, players that suck don't hold records, players that suck aren't all-stars. That's like me saying Kobe Bryant sucks because the Lakers lost in the playoffs. I'd like to know how many sucky teams and sucky players went to the finals.
Im saying that sucky people do seep through, with hype and over promotion, sebestian telfair for instance. Not even a decent fucking back up. Im saying lebron isnt as great as everyone says he is, he is top 20, not top 5. MVP awards mean nothing if you cant bring your team to the promise land and cross that temple dude. He can win 20 mvp's for all i care, if he doesnt win a ring then he is the Donovan McNabb of the NBA.
@scienceatheism Sebastian Telfair doesn't suck either. He's just not made to be a top player in the nba, it's not like he was drafted as #1 anyway, he was the 14th pick. Lol how can you suck and be great? No player in the NBA currently should be considered top 5 all time, that doesn't mean shit, they're are still people today comparing Kobe Bryant to MJ. There are still people today that think D.Wade> Allen Iverson, and compared the two to choclate and shit. I've acutally heard that.
@blacktee31 Dwyane Wade is better than Allen Iverson, not all about scoring, which Wade can match Iverson at, but Iverson can't touch Wade's all-around defensive skills
@MrMojoRisin53 Wade has never been the great scorer that Iverson is. Don't even compare Wade as a scorer to Iverson as a scorer. 3 time scoring champ vs the guy who has never been scoring champ. Iverson is the better scorer. I'll give you defense but Iverson is the better player and Wade ahs yet to accomplish what Iverson has so far. And seriously chocolate and shit? Do you honestly thing that's a fair analogy?
@blacktee31 Wade hasnt accomplished what Iverson did, and what is that exactly? One dismal finals apperance and a bunch of other disappointing seasons..Wade is a gamer, he's clutch and he's already won a title putting a team completely on his back in doing so..Wade has never been scoring champ but he always right there and when it comes down to the line you want the clutch player who can make a play on BOTH sides of the court, id also take wade to take the last shot all day
@MrMojoRisin53 Championships are a team effort and I didn't see Wade go up against the same Lakers team that demolished every single team they faced in the playoffs before meeting the sixers (only to lose to philly twice) Winning a title means nothing because that is a team effort. Like I said Wade has not accomplished what Iverson has so far, you can talk all day about team efforts but that has nothing to do with Wade as an individual.
@blacktee31 First off Philly only won 1 game that series..second take championships away and Wade is still a top 5 elite scorer every year and blows Iverson away rebounding and defensively, even if iverson is better scorer Wade is a much better overall player, he does it all and excels it every part of the game, something..any GM would take Wade in his prime over Iverson to start a team..its like MJ is the best entertainer ever, but we all know the Beatles are better musicians
@MrMojoRisin53 Iverson still holds the record for most consecutive steal titles. Iverson ranked 6th all-time in points per game Wade is 9th. Iverson 17th overall in career points scored, Wade is not even in the top 50. Iverson second highest career playoff scoring average behind MJ, Wad is 10th. Iverson career high for points in a game is 60 Dwayne Wade's is in the mid 50's IIRC. All Wade is better at is rebounding and blocking shots and that's natural at 6'4 Iverson isnt a true 6'0.
@blacktee31 I gave you that Iverson is a better scorer and using career stats when Wade still has a good decade of elite basketball left in him is dumb, if you want scoring go ahead and have Iverson..if you want clutch basketball with elite play on both ends take Wade and you'll win a hell of a lot more than with Iverson..Iverson was a huge ball hog and thats why he left Philly on bad terms, he was a distraction and a me-first player his entire career which is why hes stuck in europe right now
@MrMojoRisin53 Lol so you're saying in his prime years wade will suddenly break steals records, scoring records, and assit records when it's all said and done? Please leave your personal opinion of Wade out of reasons why he's better than Iverson. Wade is not more clutch than Iverson either. And please don't even come at me with that ball hog mess because Iverson was in the top 10 assit leaders for a good 5 years str8 and only got passed once he played for Detroit.
@MrMojoRisin53 You obviously don't like Iverson because that last part is not even true. He didn't leave on any bad terms he left to move on to better things and when they came back the crowed praised him with a standing ovation.
@MrMojoRisin53 No you're wrong it was a 6 game series. Philly won game 1 and game 3 if I remember correctly. Take championships away and wade has maybe blocked shots on iverson and better defensive skills that's about it. Iverson is one of the greatest scorers of all time and isn't far behind Jordan in points scored. Iverson still owns a lot of different records. Wade is not a better over all player. Iverson was a better shooter, better scorer, better ball handler, and a better passer.
@MrMojoRisin53 Lol and you are obviously biased if you think any gm would take wade over iverson in his prime. Iverson is a better leader as well as many other things. What has wade done that A.I. hasn't? Iverson was the first sixer to be made rookie of the year. Wade wasn't ROY, A.I. still holds the rookie record for most consecutive 40 point games, wade does not. Iverson still holds the record for most steals made in a playoff game wade doesn't.
@blacktee31 So Iverson is a better rookie? okay lol, so Kobe holds the record for 3-pointers in a game but no one thinks Kobe is a better shooter than Ray Allen..You completely disregard the defensive end and rebounding and Iverson is a better leader? hahah get the fuck outta here bro based on what? Wade is recognized as one of the best leaders in the game and also was a huge one for Team USA, remember when Iverson was the leader for a US team?
@MrMojoRisin53 What does Kobe and Ray allen have to do with it. Iverson has records as a rookie that Wade hasn't even accomplished as a vet. I'm naming records. Don't try to use that logic with me. Based on Iverson leading his sorry team to the playoffs for the first time in a decade and mangaged to drive his team all the way to the finals and keep them in the game. Wade is not the leader that A.I. is. What does team USA have to do with anything.
@blacktee31 Because when that team was lead by Iverson they fucking sucked and when it was led by Wade and Kobe they won gold, Wade led his team to the playoffs his rookie year, did Iverson? I guess it comes back to stats vs winning..Joe Montana vs Dan Marino debate..I would much much rather have a guy who is gonna win me games rather tha someone who is going to fill up that stat columns
@MrMojoRisin53 Lol news flash, Iverson carried that team to the Eastern conference finals 3 times, the team sucked because Iverson was the only all star and in his prime they still had the best record in the East at the time. Look at Wade the heat, that team is stacked with 2 of the best players in the league and another all star and they still failed to win against the Mavs. Why is that? You're blaming Iverson for something that is a TEAM effort. He can't do it all on his own.

People keep saying that Jordan won his first ring at 28 but they often forget that MJ went to college for 2 or so years. Lebron is 27. He got to the NBA straight from high school therefore he's had more years in the league than MJ and he still has no rings.
guitarpianofreak18 1 month ago
@guitarpianofreak18 We aren't forgetting that he went to college. Our point is that its not as if LeBron has no chance at winning 4+ championships now. MJ won 6 after the age of 28. If LeBron is 27, he still has plenty of time to win multiple championships.

@LazerJet27 But he had Antawn Jamison, Shaq (better than half the centers in 2010), Delonte West shooting, and Illauskas,
BigdogH201 1 month ago
@BigdogH201 Delonte West is a decent role player. Not a star player. Ilgauskas and Shaq are pretty good centers considering how bad centers usually are in the league. Antawn Jamison is talented too. But that still isn't good enough for a championship team.
Shaq had Kobe, Jordan had Pippen, Bird had McHale+Parrish, Magic had Kareem+Worthy, Duncan had Parker+Ginobili or Robinson. Pierce had Allen+KG. AJ, Shaq, Big Z, and Delonte don't compare to those guys.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 You missed my point....I didnt say Lebron had a stack team...but he had comparable players to win an NBA title. In this generation. Had those Cavs played in the 90s and early millenium..they never would've had a chance.....but the afromentioned guys were good enough to win a title. In this watered down era with zone defenses and lane violation. Plus, I said Delonte West shooting only and anknowledge that Shaq was out of his prime!!!
BigdogH201 1 month ago
@BigdogH201 Okay yeah, he had a decent supporting cast in 2010. He could've won a title with them, but it would have been very tough. As we all saw, once he left they became one of the worst teams in the league. Its sufficient, but still a weak cast. I think it would have been possible, but I don't think any player in this league if put in LBJ's position could have led any of the 2003-2010 Cavs teams to a championship.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 They also lost Shaq and Zyrakus!!! Two, the NBA is watered down.....and MJ would've led them to a title!!!
BigdogH201 4 weeks ago
@BigdogH201 I think you mean Zydrunas. But they did not matter nearly as much. Honestly, how many more wins do you think they would have gotten if they still kept Zydrunas and Shaq? Both Big Z and Big Shamrock were in their last years, they could no longer contribute much, Varejao was far better.I said any player in this league, MJ is not currently in this league. I mean Kobe, Carmelo, Durant, Dwight, Rose, Wade, Paul, Dirk, Love, Amare, Deron, etc. could not have done it.
LazerJet27 4 weeks ago
@LazerJet27 Still...they would've won a lot more games with both!!!
BigdogH201 4 weeks ago
@BigdogH201 But think about the Celtics and Lakers supporting casts, they were much stronger than the Cavs'.
Sure, the Cavs have some great role players, but the Lakers and Celtics have that as well in ADDITION to other All-Stars. Kobe had Pau and Bynum. Rondo had Pierce, Allen, and Garnett. LeBron had no one even comparable to those players. Then the Lakers had the sixth man of the year in Odom and had Artest. Celtics had Shrek and Donkey. They were simply better teams.

GoonyzTakinFlight 1 month ago
@GoonyzTakinFlight I know. I'm just saying that people seem to think LeBron will only win 1 or 2 championships at most because he's already been in the league for 8 years and hasn't won one. But they forget that MJ won his rings later in his career.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Kobe won his first when he was 21, what is your point, please explain? xD
noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r My point is that LeBron is younger than Jordan, and if he were to win a ring this year, he would actually be ahead of Jordan's pace for championships.
I realize that he had more years in the league already because he came from High School. But the more important thing to consider is that after a certain point, players start to decrease in production rapidly and end up with few opportunities to win more. So if Jordan won 6 rings after 28. LeBron has time to win lpenty too.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Ok, now I'll explain what I meant, stop comparing freakin' LeBron to the likes of Jordan, LeBron is the next Pippen at best, Wade is Jordan for Miami, it's Wade's team, LeBron's ring in case he wins will be just the same as Lamar's rings for the Lakers, the ring for contribution and support provided for the real Man on the roster, which is Wade. Period.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r Wade is the man on the roster.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Ok, let me get this straight, until LeBron wins the ring and maybe even two and does it as the man on the roster, I will never admit that he is better than anyone and anywhere, until now he is a pure FAIL, Pippen always was better than LeBron, Lamar - less talent, but found his place and was an essential piece in two chamionships, Kobe/Shaq - maybe the best combo in the history of NBA, Shaq said it himself. About Kareem and Magic... just don't repeat that ever again...
noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r That is BLASPHEMY! To say that LeBron IS NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE?! You are saying LeBron James is the worst player in the league? That's not even fathomable.
How can he be a completely pure fail if he's averaging 29 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds. Pippen was never anywhere near LeBron. I can't believe you would even say that.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@noopz0r So LBJ has no championships. Look up the list of players without rings. You think they are all "pure FAIL"s?
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Man, you're very bad at understanding, "anyone and anywhere" I meant the greatest players, of course I'm not talking about Kwame Brown, are you even serious?! He's a pure fail compared to Kobe, the purest! Now really try hard and undertsand, LeBron James is a talented player, but you know how many talented people are there, thousands and maybe millions, but I talk about achievements, avarage stats is not the same thing as winning it all, never was, never will be. Period. Pippen 6.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r Well I'm not psychic, so I don't understand how you think I would understand that "anyone" means "greatest players".
LeBron James is the best player in the league right now, Kobe isn't even top 5.
And the fact that you are even bringing up the championships argument is simply idiotic. Bill Russell has 11 championships, does that mean he's better than Michael Jordan? Kareem Abdul Jabbar was a 6 time champion and an 18x All Star, is he better than Michael jordan?
LazerJet27 1 month ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@LazerJet27 "LeBron James is the best player in the league right now, Kobe isn't even top 5."
Kobe is the best player in the league until he rerires, stop bitching about it, he just is, he is the most skilled player, he has 16 years of experience and still plays through injuries and age and stays on top, scored 40+. I don't care about expert and voting, give people enough free will and they elect Hitler, don't give me that as an argument.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Now to comparing players... You just don't do that, MJ was the best when he played, Kobe is the best after MJ, it's as simple as that, Kobe has fewer rings but he did do some other things that Jordan never did, it's all about circumstances, the players are as great as the league allows them to be, MJ was never compared to active "King" James and didn't have to witness fucking bloggers bitching about him, Kobe does, it takes his greatness away evry time.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r Kobe is not the second greatest player of all time. You have players like Russell, Kareem, Shaq, Wilt, Magic, and Larry. I don't put Kobe above any of them. To put Kobe above Oscar Robertson, Isiah Thomas, Jerry West, Tim Duncan, etc. is already an achievement. But Kobe has never dominated the league in the sense that those other players I listed have.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Kareem, get him in the post, sky hook and its over. Magic is a point guard who played center and still scored 40+ points and won the NBA Finals. How can you put Kobe over players like these? Kobe is a top 10 greatest player of all time, but definitely not second of all time.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@noopz0r The fact that you are complaining that bloggers take away Kobe's greatness is laughable. Michael Jordan is better than Kobe by a longshot. The amount of championships have nothing to do with it. There are 12-15 players on a team, there are 5 players on the court at the same time. No player can do it alone, the rings and championships are a TEAM accomplishment not an individual one. MJ couldn't even do it individually, he needed Scottie. Rings are not a measure of greatness.
LazerJet27 1 month ago

noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r "players are as great as the league allows them to be". Michael Jordan says he could score 100 points in today's league. Today's league has much tougher rules for fouls, in which if MJ played, he would be untouchable when he drives into the lane. The teams Kobe is facing throughout his career aren't nearly as competitive as the ones Michael had to play. 86 Celtics beat 2010 Celtics easily. And winning a championship over Dwight Howard and his minimal supporting cast? Yippee.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Wait a minute, MJ also said who would not allow Kobe's 81, and let me tell you, MJ was a great player, and he sees he is constantly compared to modern player, his comments are quite clear to me, he has pride, that pride made him great, but he can't play anymore so now all he can do is say somethings to the media, and you just have to give him credit for his career, and not discuss all of his comments... :)
noopz0r 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 About the rings, of course it's ALL about team, Kobe - Shaq, than Kobe, Gasol and Bynum and actually good bench, but I am talking about the players that led teams through regular season and then stepped up in the playoffs, I'm talking about leaders, at first it was Shaq with LA, but as we see even one of the greatest players couldn't handle the pressure of changing his role to the second guy.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 And again, all I see is what if, what if not, I talk about fact, MJ never scored so many points in a game, he was a horrible ball hog when he was young, do you see anyone mention that ever?! That's the whole point, Kobe has tons of haters, LeBron has tons of haters, it's just the way it is right now, MJ never had to face this kind of environment, that's just a fact. Period.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 MJ never scored even close to 100, and talking about how the old teams would win against the present ones, are you kidding me?! Did you ever notice that people evolve in years? That's why all the records get broken at some point, that's the whole thing, MJ won't be the greates forever, it just doesn't happen that way, and I also doubt that you can point out one GOAT. Kobe said it himself, it's an honnor to be in the discussion, that's all we need to know...
noopz0r 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 And one more, you say Kobe hasn't been dominationg the league?! Are you serious?! All players agree and have done that for the decade by now, that Kobe is the most clutch and the most dangerous offensive force in the league, don't you see how they defend him?! Teams have special sets only about the defence on Kobe Bryant. Man, all I can say, less theory, just watch the game and enjoy it.
P.S. Kobe is right there with MJ, stop denying it, it get ridiculous...
noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r Kevin Durant, Amare Stoudemire, Steve Nash, Charles Barkley, Elgin Baylor, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Derrick Rose, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tim Hardaway, Chris Webber, Chris Mullin, Nate Thurmond, Dominique Wilkins, Patrick Ewing, George Gervin, Allen Iverson, Pete Mavarich, Deron Williams, Carmelo Anthony, and Russell Westbrook all don't have championships. Does that mean they are all "pure fails" because they only averaged stats but didn't win it all?
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Oh my goodness, Bill Russell was the man, and here you have to understand that you gave an example of a person with multiple rings, MJ has fewer, but he has multiple, so has Tim Duncan, so has Kobe, and so have guys like Robert with ice in his veins, all the guys you named - good players, elite players. But they are no match to the group of guys like MJ, Kobe, Russell, Wilt, Magic, Bird, you have to understand that, you just have to... I love AI, but he is no match.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r Alright, well LeBron is going to win championships. He may be Finals MVP, or it might be Wade, that is left to be determined. But to think LBJ won't win a single championship with the Heat is ridiculous. To consider the possiblity is fine, but to write him off as a failure is inconceivable.
And how is not being the sole leader a failure? Are Ray and KG failures? Are Manu and Tony failures? Are Scottie and Dennis failures? Are McHale and Parrish failures?
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Now I see the problem, finally, the thing about LeBron... I wouldn't say a single word about him in a negative way of course, if the Media didn't praise him like a King from the start, I do understand that he is a good all-around player, he is a playmaker. But it's been 9 years, can you still say he is extraordinary?! Can you still sya that?! Kobe earned his ring earlier, maybe not as a leader, but still as the second guy.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Now put Kobe aside, it's just LeBron, he is acting like he is already a champion, it's his business maybe, but it just leaves and impression, impression that follows him everywhere, this hype about him that stronger than his impact on the game, that is the THING here, the hype of LeBron is stronger than his actual presence in the game. That's the only problem with LeBron, that's why I called him a FAIL, not because he is not talented.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 And you had to notice I said "so far", it means that only "so far" he has been a fail, when he wins at least 2 of them, I'll admit he is a great player, but until then I don't even see the point in comparing LeBron to the greatest players, it's just "laughable"... lol... xD
noopz0r 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 Now to the chosen one, mister James, he came into the league as a God, the most talanted player, I have a question for you, does Kobe care about LeBron when he scores 40+ points and wins his rings, NO, did Tim Duncan care, NO, did, Dirk care NO, but somehow you care... talking about pure fails, the guys you named, didn't act like Kings, cuz they knew their place, they didn't say they would win 7 rings, they just came up short, it happens sometimes.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r Actually Charles Barkley claimed he was going to win a championship in an interview after a game. Shaq promised multiple rings too. Kobe said they would beat the Mavs last year, win 4 straight after being down 3-0. LeBron makes a little joke and you guys all bash him for it. If the Heat were down 3-0 to the Bulls and LeBron says they would win he would be ridiculed. Kobe says it and its like "thats the killer instinct".
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 None of the Heat fans are actually holding LeBron to his words of 8 championships. We want the Heat to win a few, none of us are actually going to be upset if they don't win 8 championships, we aren't going to take that seriously. Yet all the haters care more about it. You know Shaq promised multiple rings to Miami but left without ever helping them get a 2nd one.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@noopz0r First off, if Kobe Duncan and Dirk don't care if someone else wins the championship instead of them, then thats bad. But no if they aren't in the Finals, they won't mind. And I doubt they will be upset if LeBron does well in the regular season. You say I care so much, why do you? Seems like you think LeBron is a failure and will not win championships. Rather than just insulting him and exaggerating facts, how about you just let it play out and see if he wins rings.
LazerJet27 1 month ago
@LazerJet27 And again man, we are talking about LeBron, how come are there Kareem, Magic, Kobe in the same discussion, Kobe Bryant is just so much better than LeBron that I can't even put it into words, and they are playing at the same time, Kobe is older, he is injured, he is critisised for being a ball hog and look at what he does, scores 48, 40 and he won 2 rings when LeBron was MVP and had best record in the league, LeBron fails 2 4th quarters as if last year didn't happen, you do the math.
noopz0r 1 month ago
@noopz0r You said that since Wade is the leader of the team, LeBron is just like Lamar Odom. So I am asking you if you somehow feel Kareem was just like Odom since it was Magic Johnson's team.
LeBron was MVP, but he did not have the supporting cast that Kobe had. Don't even try to argue that, you know it and I know it, LeBron did not have a proper championship team supporting cast. Derrick Rose was MVP last season, but he didn't win the championship either, that doesn't mean he failed

IOHHVid 2 months ago

Also remember the year that wade had to go the majority of the season without Shaq and then when he came back they got blown out by the chicago bulls(who aren't half the team they are now) then the next season they had the worst record in the league and only won like 15 games. The sixers, nuggets, pistons, and grizzlies never had a record like that, not since his rookie year when the team only won 20 something games.
blacktee31 5 months ago
@blacktee31 Why are u even arguing with that Moron the Majority of the World would Take Dwade of Iverson anyday Dwade in todays game is prbly the Best all around Player and is way easier to build a team with the reason Iverson had mad points is beacuse he took twice has may shot his feild goal% is Horrible Lmfao and Dwade is a Beast only player to average most points in the Finals 37 points Now thats a Finals Mvp now Iverson a great Player Hall of Fame but Wade is already more than that already
JCam4mvp 5 months ago
@JCam4mvp Lol so you have to insult me because you disagree. Iverson averaged 46% for most of his career from the field so that's a lie, even when he was taking less shots he still averaged better than 28 ppg. Wade is not there yet IMO, maybe you should respect that instead insulting people that you disagree with. Iverson is also second all time in playoff ppg average. With Philly his FG% wasn't that great but that was mostly because Brown built the offense around AI so he takes the most shots.
blacktee31 5 months ago
The biggest name that was ever around Iverson was Carmelo Anthony and they went to the playoffs that year and lost, not because A.I. failed to carry the team to a win, but because Melo loves to take that same pull up jumper without having dribbled the ball once. They lost to SA (who won the west) and then lost the next year to the Lakers (who won the west) and it was down hill from there.

Scottie still balled without Michael in 1993-1994, but Stephen A is wrong to suggest they would have won it all. Hakeem the Dream would have been too much for them.

@TheNextAriGold i agree even with jordan i still think dream would have bested jordan at least one of those years

Bulls 1992-1993 record (with Jordan) :57-25
Bulls 1993-1994 record (after Michael retired to try MLB lol, but with Scottie Pippen): 55-27
He WAS ballin that year and he is top 50 player of all time. And also dont tell me Jordan had weak team. Numbers dont lie.
loplification 7 months ago 17
@loplification 93-94: Did they win the NBA Championship? MJ made Scottie Pippen better and everyone else around him better. Toni Kukoc, John Paxson, Horace Grant, and many others. Michael was a leader and only motivated his team. Lebron (The Choken One), basically has an All-Star lineup and refuses to shoot the ball, when his team needs him the most come clutch time, when they face the Dallas Mavricks, this past June. Lebron is not even close to Michael Jordan, or even Kobe Bryant.
mitch666222 4 months ago
@loplification I do consider Scottie Pippen one of the top 50 players of all-time, I'll give ya that. But I'm just saying his career wouldn't have been diffrent, if it wasn't for Jordan.
mitch666222 4 months ago
@loplification 1993 nba playoffs - MJ leads Bulls to NBA Championship. 1994 nba playoffs, bulls exit in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Crap teams have had 50 something records, only to get blown out in the playoffs. The playoffs is where superstars are born, and MJ is one of a kind.
yoyoyoyoyomansup 4 months ago
@loplification But u know im glad that Pippen didn't win because that would have change MJ legacy.
UltramanMebius2006 3 months ago
@loplification That alone doesn't make Scottie a top 50 player. They had a great team..even better from 96-98. But I also seen time after time again Jordan single handedly carry that team to a win. 1998 in Utah when Scottie was going back to the locker room because of back trouble. Jordan (wayyy past his prime) won them that game 6 to win the ring. Thats just one example. Get off Scottie's balls. You are giving him WAY too much credit.

Pippen was jealous that MJ had been called by a lot of people as The Batman and Him as the Robin and He had said a few years ago that he played a more important role than MJ

i generally agree with skip (oops), but he really needs to stop using the "i was in chicago/dallas/wherever" thesis to bolster his argument. its probably the weak link in his otherwise strong points

did jordan lose 2 championships? oh no he won all of the ones he went to. Yeah lebron aint shit!
scienceatheism 8 months ago 21
@scienceatheism Don't mean Lebron aint shit it just means that he aint better than or even as good as Jordan.
blacktee31 6 months ago
Lebron sucks dude. He is a choke artist and he is over rated. If his body wasnt as big as it is, his skills would of depleted by now.
scienceatheism 6 months ago
@scienceatheism "Lebron sucks dude." So I take it you can be the number 1 pick in the nba draft and become an all-star, scoring champ, and mvp no problem? Losing the championship game has nothing to do with him by himself as a player, he's not a choke artist. And I say this as someone who doesn't even like Lebron.
blacktee31 6 months ago
Yeah because people who arnt something cant judge someone in the public eye, that also means judging fucking barack obama and george bush was a bad fucking move wasnt it sense im not a president or i havnt won a political debate. If you are a basketball player you put yourself in a position to where you skills are judged. By anyone and everyone! The heat had a great defense in the finals, wade was playing like a beast and James was fucking abscent.
scienceatheism 6 months ago
@scienceatheism That has nothing to do with sucking PERIOD. You don't accomplish all that or even make it into the NBA if you suck. And Skip Bayless is a fuckin retard.
blacktee31 6 months ago
There are plenty of sucky individuals who make it to the NBA. And if you are branded king you are put at a higher level then anybody else out there, if you dont at least mantain that level of play in the most crucial time of your NBA career, you fucking suck.
scienceatheism 6 months ago
@scienceatheism So you're saying anyone can make it into the nba? If so you've just lost credibility with me. And if you're saying lebron sucks because he doesn't meet your expectations, then you've lost creditability. They don't give MVP awards to players that suck, players that suck don't hold records, players that suck aren't all-stars. That's like me saying Kobe Bryant sucks because the Lakers lost in the playoffs. I'd like to know how many sucky teams and sucky players went to the finals.
blacktee31 6 months ago
Im saying that sucky people do seep through, with hype and over promotion, sebestian telfair for instance. Not even a decent fucking back up. Im saying lebron isnt as great as everyone says he is, he is top 20, not top 5. MVP awards mean nothing if you cant bring your team to the promise land and cross that temple dude. He can win 20 mvp's for all i care, if he doesnt win a ring then he is the Donovan McNabb of the NBA.
scienceatheism 6 months ago
@scienceatheism Sebastian Telfair doesn't suck either. He's just not made to be a top player in the nba, it's not like he was drafted as #1 anyway, he was the 14th pick. Lol how can you suck and be great? No player in the NBA currently should be considered top 5 all time, that doesn't mean shit, they're are still people today comparing Kobe Bryant to MJ. There are still people today that think D.Wade> Allen Iverson, and compared the two to choclate and shit. I've acutally heard that.
blacktee31 6 months ago
@blacktee31 Dwyane Wade is better than Allen Iverson, not all about scoring, which Wade can match Iverson at, but Iverson can't touch Wade's all-around defensive skills
MrMojoRisin53 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 Wade has never been the great scorer that Iverson is. Don't even compare Wade as a scorer to Iverson as a scorer. 3 time scoring champ vs the guy who has never been scoring champ. Iverson is the better scorer. I'll give you defense but Iverson is the better player and Wade ahs yet to accomplish what Iverson has so far. And seriously chocolate and shit? Do you honestly thing that's a fair analogy?
blacktee31 5 months ago
@blacktee31 Wade hasnt accomplished what Iverson did, and what is that exactly? One dismal finals apperance and a bunch of other disappointing seasons..Wade is a gamer, he's clutch and he's already won a title putting a team completely on his back in doing so..Wade has never been scoring champ but he always right there and when it comes down to the line you want the clutch player who can make a play on BOTH sides of the court, id also take wade to take the last shot all day
MrMojoRisin53 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 Championships are a team effort and I didn't see Wade go up against the same Lakers team that demolished every single team they faced in the playoffs before meeting the sixers (only to lose to philly twice) Winning a title means nothing because that is a team effort. Like I said Wade has not accomplished what Iverson has so far, you can talk all day about team efforts but that has nothing to do with Wade as an individual.
blacktee31 5 months ago
@blacktee31 First off Philly only won 1 game that series..second take championships away and Wade is still a top 5 elite scorer every year and blows Iverson away rebounding and defensively, even if iverson is better scorer Wade is a much better overall player, he does it all and excels it every part of the game, something..any GM would take Wade in his prime over Iverson to start a team..its like MJ is the best entertainer ever, but we all know the Beatles are better musicians
MrMojoRisin53 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 something Iverson can't claim* sorry
MrMojoRisin53 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 Iverson still holds the record for most consecutive steal titles. Iverson ranked 6th all-time in points per game Wade is 9th. Iverson 17th overall in career points scored, Wade is not even in the top 50. Iverson second highest career playoff scoring average behind MJ, Wad is 10th. Iverson career high for points in a game is 60 Dwayne Wade's is in the mid 50's IIRC. All Wade is better at is rebounding and blocking shots and that's natural at 6'4 Iverson isnt a true 6'0.
blacktee31 5 months ago
@blacktee31 I gave you that Iverson is a better scorer and using career stats when Wade still has a good decade of elite basketball left in him is dumb, if you want scoring go ahead and have Iverson..if you want clutch basketball with elite play on both ends take Wade and you'll win a hell of a lot more than with Iverson..Iverson was a huge ball hog and thats why he left Philly on bad terms, he was a distraction and a me-first player his entire career which is why hes stuck in europe right now
MrMojoRisin53 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 Lol so you're saying in his prime years wade will suddenly break steals records, scoring records, and assit records when it's all said and done? Please leave your personal opinion of Wade out of reasons why he's better than Iverson. Wade is not more clutch than Iverson either. And please don't even come at me with that ball hog mess because Iverson was in the top 10 assit leaders for a good 5 years str8 and only got passed once he played for Detroit.
blacktee31 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 You obviously don't like Iverson because that last part is not even true. He didn't leave on any bad terms he left to move on to better things and when they came back the crowed praised him with a standing ovation.
blacktee31 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 Wade has a decade left? He's very injury prone. With the way he plays he has about 2-3 years left imo to be that good
trowabarton321 4 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 No you're wrong it was a 6 game series. Philly won game 1 and game 3 if I remember correctly. Take championships away and wade has maybe blocked shots on iverson and better defensive skills that's about it. Iverson is one of the greatest scorers of all time and isn't far behind Jordan in points scored. Iverson still owns a lot of different records. Wade is not a better over all player. Iverson was a better shooter, better scorer, better ball handler, and a better passer.
blacktee31 5 months ago
@blacktee31 No, it was a 5 game series, 4-1 I'm a Laker fan I remember, look it up
MrMojoRisin53 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 Lol and you are obviously biased if you think any gm would take wade over iverson in his prime. Iverson is a better leader as well as many other things. What has wade done that A.I. hasn't? Iverson was the first sixer to be made rookie of the year. Wade wasn't ROY, A.I. still holds the rookie record for most consecutive 40 point games, wade does not. Iverson still holds the record for most steals made in a playoff game wade doesn't.
blacktee31 5 months ago
@blacktee31 So Iverson is a better rookie? okay lol, so Kobe holds the record for 3-pointers in a game but no one thinks Kobe is a better shooter than Ray Allen..You completely disregard the defensive end and rebounding and Iverson is a better leader? hahah get the fuck outta here bro based on what? Wade is recognized as one of the best leaders in the game and also was a huge one for Team USA, remember when Iverson was the leader for a US team?
MrMojoRisin53 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 What does Kobe and Ray allen have to do with it. Iverson has records as a rookie that Wade hasn't even accomplished as a vet. I'm naming records. Don't try to use that logic with me. Based on Iverson leading his sorry team to the playoffs for the first time in a decade and mangaged to drive his team all the way to the finals and keep them in the game. Wade is not the leader that A.I. is. What does team USA have to do with anything.
blacktee31 5 months ago
@blacktee31 Because when that team was lead by Iverson they fucking sucked and when it was led by Wade and Kobe they won gold, Wade led his team to the playoffs his rookie year, did Iverson? I guess it comes back to stats vs winning..Joe Montana vs Dan Marino debate..I would much much rather have a guy who is gonna win me games rather tha someone who is going to fill up that stat columns
MrMojoRisin53 5 months ago
@MrMojoRisin53 Lol news flash, Iverson carried that team to the Eastern conference finals 3 times, the team sucked because Iverson was the only all star and in his prime they still had the best record in the East at the time. Look at Wade the heat, that team is stacked with 2 of the best players in the league and another all star and they still failed to win against the Mavs. Why is that? You're blaming Iverson for something that is a TEAM effort. He can't do it all on his own.
