I believe it should be split 50/50 down the middle so you know if you have a dog sound in conformation with the ability to perform its duty sucessfully.
I show & work Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, some people just show but I believe every dog should be given every oppurtunity to serve its orginal purpose or to have a purpose.

A CO should be worked rather than shown. Showing has ruined many great breeds of dogs and hopefully not this one.
