I'm not a Republican,but I think it's pathetic and lacking all intelligence that these people turn their backs on John McCain,but when these same people who turne their backs speak or want to be heard they demand respect.That's the problem with society in general,people do not think they have to give respect,but demand respect.Especially the people who contribute nothing and haven't accomplished anything are the ones who think they entitled.

That year, McCain spoke at three schools: Liberty University (where he was well recieved), Columbia University, and New School University. It was not well recieved at the New School. Students and faculty protested the decision. All through the speech there was heckling. My favorite was when a student yelled, "We're graduating, not voting" lol.

A college graduation ceremony is not the place for any politician to be promoting a political agenda, especially when it involves sensitive topics like the war in Iraq. The student who yelled "We're graduating, not voting" made a good point. If John McCain simply was there to congradulate everyone, it would have been fine.
