@Jefrejtor: probably not. They'd fumble with their shirt, forget the safety, miss, hopefully not hitting a bystander, and promptly get shot and make the attacker panicked.

But there might be law enforcement officers who did not benefit from tips from someone experienced in that reload technique to whom it might be beneficial if they practice with their gun.

Or just gun enthusiasts that will try and learn it because it's cool and might be fun (without delusions of superior safety).

@Jefrejtor Probably not! I think about that all the time when I'm practicing. A two way range has got to be terrifying and there is no way to practice for that stress. I still don't think I'm wasting my time though, chances still seem better when you are intimately familiar with whatever system you're running.

@jokemasterslifer As many people have similarly stated about themselves, i'm no expert. But my understanding is normally you want to keep your partially empty magazines. There are a few different ways people do it (putting the empty one back in the mag pouch, throwing it in a dump bag for later). You'd do the type reload he does in this video if your gun is completely out of ammo and you need to fire asap.

Can you modify the Glock, so that the slide after sticking the next mag in solves automically without pushing the slide catch?

@mrjodoe No, you can't as far as I know. But you don't have to: the glock will chamber a round without the need to release the slide by hand or to press the slide-release lever, if you insert the magazine hard enough. However, I don't think it is a good idea to rely on this technique.

I use and teach the third way. But you should not use the slide lock on a Glock to drop the slide after a reload. Wears the lever out pretty quick. Just grab the slide and let it drop.

@PowderMonkeyMan911 No it is not a USP 45, if you look at the magazine base plate under his hand you will see a magpul aftermarket base plate which is only currently made for Glock 9mm which can be seen at about 0:39 seconds of the vid when he bends to pick mag he dropped . Also the threaded barrel he is using is a Lone wolf barrel which you can see there logo on every time he turns the top of the weapon towards the viewer to do the speed reload. also has a surefire X300 light on it .

@idbs1984 I recently ordered some things from magpul and I notice that they now offer them for the 40cal glock and 9mm but thats about it so far , they did not offer them for 40cal at first only 9mm, never the less my point was that the glock Travis is using is a Glock 17 and not a H&K USP like a couple of other people had thought they were. by the way those baseplates look pretty cool on the Glock 23 too .
