Same question as @EJSMITH31 - where did you find that pod. That's exactly where I want my gauges, but every pod maker wants me to install them inside the A pillar - too distracting there. I'll check Summit.
Just browsing and ran across this vid, I'm in Knoxville as well. Got a 91 Coupe and whats left of a 67 Coupe. I been considering picking up some Super 44's for the notch, but I don't know how the tone will be since they are going to be bolting straight to the long tubes and have turndowns. Scared it'll sound like crap instead of smooth like this.
@419forest Man you have one slick ride. My car needs paint and suspension work as well as a much better tune. Where are you located in Tennessee and where did you get your tuning and paint work done. Thanks George
@overheadcam32 I live in Memphis. Tuning done at dynospeed racing (memphis). Paint done at Jimmy Supreme's in Olive Branch, MS. thanks for comment and viewing video. Craig
Been reading the comments. Yep street tires are why the T-5 is still alive. My T-5 had over 250,000 miles on it when I put my 331 in. It finally broke about 2 years later. From wear, not from power.
It was power shifted into third MANY times. How long one will last under these circumstances is up to how good the driver is too. Plus, their like 5.0 blocks. One will break at 500 HP, another will hold 750. Luck of the draw.
@overheadcam32 hey man, i live very close to knoxville tn, what part u from? I own 3 fox bodies just like this. Btw , nice car!! very nice sounds great.
Street tires has alot to do with why the T-5 is still alive, but you should bust out the video camera, powershift 3rd gear and let us know how things go...
And just cause your running rich, dosent make it "safe" basicaly your washing down the cylinders with fuel if its too rich, which will cause premature ring failure
Yes that is what I have heard lol. I still have stock tires and suspension too lol. When I upgrade those components I will expect to add tougher tranny too. What do you run?
Running trick flow street heat. My problem is the tune in the car. It is WAY too RICH. Standing behind the car burns your eyes out at idle plus I caught flashes of light on video at dark coming out the right exhaust pipe. Got to have a better tune. My tuner wanted to stay safe but its not working. Plus I only have a B50 block, wish I had done a 4 bolt but the affordable boss wasnt out at the time.
If you can get a 4 bolt block, then you have no worries. That is my only regret. But I have been told that the B50 block can live a long time at the power level I am making if I dont abuse it, which I dont plan to do
The cat back is an American Thunder System that I got from summit several years ago. I just cut out the old 40 flows and welded in the super 44's. Someone may offer the super 44 in a cat back now instead of the old 40 series. I just didnt know what to buy. I knew I wanted more sound coming out the back of the car instead of under it. I didnt want to spent S800 for a borla or bassani and not like it, so I experimented. Hope this helps
thanks, appreciate the compliment. It has 110000 miles. I bought the car in 1992 with 18000 miles. It belonged to a couple that were going to have twins. THe car had to go. Lucky for me. The paint is to the point it needs to be redone and the headliner is falling but the rest of the car seems to be solid. The rest of the car is stock lol except for a set of 3.55's in the rear. I am riding around with 500rwhp on an 18 year old suspension lol. TIme for some upgrades in that department.
This video is actually crystal clear on camera software program. Youtube would not let me upload the whole thing as I had 4min of footage and when it did load it looks blurry. Any suggestions?
Nice car bruh

I just can't decide, if like the sound of the Super 44's more than the original 40's. Each one seems to have its advantages.
