Polaris is garbage. My man bought a brand new 2011 Polaris ranger hd spent 22k on the thing. The piece of shit doesn't even have 60 miles on it and it's been back to the dealer 7 times! He said he will never buy a Polaris again.

@fenderplayer489 really it is all about traction and who has the better tires. i could put my diesel(with old wore out tires) against a toyota tundra (brand new street tires) both in 2wd and the tundra would drag me. once the tires break loose its over for you. doesn't matter if you make 500ft pounds of torque against something with 200ft pounds. if he's got the better tires he's gonna grip to that pavement and pull you around. a good way to see pulling power is to hook up to a sled.
It has nothing to do with power, obviously both machines can turn a tire. It's about weight and traction. And To 750BruteForce, a Polaris twin is NOT a V-twin, it's a parallel twin like a snowmobile engine. The Can-Am has WAY more torque, but not enough weight to tow around a 740lb Polaris, when the Outlander weighs 610.
I just got rid of my last Polaris they suck! Yamahas Great but just got 2 new Can Am Outlanders 800 and 400 for wife. They have been far better then any other brand out there so far but only had them 6mos. I have owned about 15 ATV in the last 5 years and can say DO NOT BUY POLARIS! They look great but are not. Always broken, very expensive parts, very underpowered when it counts (except the very big ones) No common sense when they were designed, even simple maintenance sucks to do.

The CAN AM Outlander 800 is better than this bulky XP 850 tank. For example, the XP weighs more than 100lbs more than the Outlander. It has to use a 850cc engine@ 70 hp while the Outlander uses a 800cc engine and produces 71hp. I could go on & on on with this kinda of stuff. Polaris is not what it is all cracked up to be.
I don't really get caught up the weight thing a whole lot but I think after riding a couple lighter bikes I prefer the heavier polaris. Yes once it gets stuck it sucks more to get out but with weight it seem to plant better and I have never had any problems with one raring up with me with weight on the back. While I do think CanAm probably builds a better bike I know Polaris has a good solid platform, just because it weighs a little more doesn't mean I am going to spend a couple thousand more
go to brps site there bud, can-am puts out more than 62 hp, outy is rated at 71 hp. and put them side by side, the canam will eat the polaris! trust me iv done it!
The new 2010 outlander now has 71 HP if the outlander were a 850 it would prolly have more hp then the sportsmen 71hp from a 800 vs 71 hp from a 850 i would assume the outlander has the better engine

Is it the best? I doubt it. Remember one thing...any ATV from any of the big manufacturers is going to be good. If any one of them built a total p.o.s. then their sales would reflect that. They are all nice when they're new and eventually they'll all break down, so stop arguing and go riding!!!

The CAN AM Outlander 800 is better than this bulky XP 850 tank. For example, the XP weighs more than 100lbs more than the Outlander. It has to use a 850cc engine@ 70 hp while the Outlander uses a 800cc engine and produces 71hp. I could go on & on on with this kinda of stuff. Polaris is not what it is all cracked up to be.

I don't really get caught up the weight thing a whole lot but I think after riding a couple lighter bikes I prefer the heavier polaris. Yes once it gets stuck it sucks more to get out but with weight it seem to plant better and I have never had any problems with one raring up with me with weight on the back. While I do think CanAm probably builds a better bike I know Polaris has a good solid platform, just because it weighs a little more doesn't mean I am going to spend a couple thousand more

go to brps site there bud, can-am puts out more than 62 hp, outy is rated at 71 hp. and put them side by side, the canam will eat the polaris! trust me iv done it!

The new 2010 outlander now has 71 HP if the outlander were a 850 it would prolly have more hp then the sportsmen 71hp from a 800 vs 71 hp from a 850 i would assume the outlander has the better engine

you wrote that same thing on another video. If all the videos showing the sportsmen beating the can am it is obviously better. To add who wants to spend 12,000 on a mediocre atv like the outlander. I think it goes king quad, sportsmen, kawasaki, honda, can am than yamaha
