I put an Aldila rip Alpha in my D2. Gives me the 460 head but keeps the low peneetrating ball flight the D3 head delivers. So all in I got the best of both worlds 460 head, big sweet spot but a forward ball flight from the RIP Alpha shaft

I have a D3 909 with a Diamana blue stiff shaft and had 1/4" taken off. This hits off the tee lovely then as it descends starts to go right a lot of spin I think? Can you advise on a 23 handicap should I go back to my MX 560 which I can hit at a lesser swing speed? Using Titleist Granz golf balls if that makes a difference?

In your opinion, do you think you lost distance due to the lower launch, lower spin? It seems like you and I are simialr in swing speed.

@JoeyClown I am using a 909 D3 9.9 Diamana Whiteboard 73S. I have found I have lost some distance. It is a lot lower, but I am hitting more fairways than I ever have. I guess forfeiting distance for accuracy is better call.

@unicef58 But with the D3 don't you get some roll? I see some pros on tour getting 50+ yards of roll sometimes if the fairway is fast, dry, and mabey down-wind.

@2005bsu I do. You really have to rip at it I found. I love how straight and consistent it can be. Haven\t hit more fairways ever in my life!

Hi, currently i am using a 907 D7.. would u recommend me to change to 909 or maintain?
