It really depends on the culture - some countries are not so narrow minded,

and people are free to take risks. None of the drivers in the opposing lanes

seemed to be too concerned with the guys on the bikes.

They could choose a better location (like a dead end street).

In the U.S., even if you do just a small wheelie from a stop sign

with no other traffic around, you can get a severe penalty.
