The wedge the Enlightenment drove between peoples religious beliefs and beliefs about the world was the source of all human progress for the past 300 years. Even "believers" today do not actually believe that their religious beliefs are the proper way to understand everyday life. They do not ask their church why objects fall, or whether they should eat certain foods. This wedge is the only reason different faiths can coexist - they just apply their beliefs to a 'spiritual' world, not life.
its ignorant to seperate religion and enlightenment.. those that truly know enlightenment know not 2 be close minded, thats the whole point of being enlightened.
I must say that i'm very impressed with this video and the entire channel.
Its very in-depth and educational, it provides good information and is not at all superficial as sometimes is the case with youtube videos. Very pleasant to watch.
I'm looking forward to more videos in the future. Bravo!
Enlightenment is still going on in the World (of the peoples, languages, nations, and multitudes) with bitter opponents to understanding, knowledge, wisdom, and council. Better to have knowledge than to face the abusive people and ignorant people who are thieves and monsters; we need information in a world of selfish behavior that only serves itself; we need council in knowing that our own viewpoints needs outside perspectives; we need understanding in all things including higher meanings.
@FaintSnow Actually, syntax and word order are less important in Latin than they are in other languages because it's so heavily inflected. 'Aude sapere' means exactly the same thing as 'sapere aude'.
ooh some people i havent seen before! i love all these videos, certainly better then reading encyclopedias and dictionaries. done that....... one of those girls was really cute too!

Read The Law by Bastiat (free download online--a short essay). Watch The Agenda (Amazon) Then get out there and suport the Restoration of America.

As the most enlightened of all philosophers - Schopenhauer - would've said: "This video is clearly gay and therefore retarded."
