@itachi20007 nos aint everything you know.in fact its stupid to put nos on a stock.ull jst blow the engine.you need the build the heads,cams,add pistons,ext to make a car fast.ive build a few 7sec cars and none of em use nos.

ok iv owned both a 02 mustang gt and a 3g eclipse and ill tell you now that the problem with the stang is once it hits 4th it drops off its power for bout 2000 rpm. if the eclipse hit the spray when he hits 4th the mits will win everytime but if he goes to quick or after he gets back up in the rpm range the stang wins so its up in the air really they are both great but personally id go with the eclipse.. its just more fun to drive personally.

If this were a heads up race (with no nitrous), the Mustang would win. I raced a 01 Eclipse GT in a crappy ragged out 96 Mustang GT Vert AUTO.... and stomped his tail! Twice in a row!!! The Eclipse has no torque, and it's lighter, with a 75 shot, putting it probably around 270 HP. The mustang is a torque monger, probably has about the same HP, but it's heavier. Like garf117 said, 4th gear kills the stang, so it's really in the air who would win in a race like this.
