Son sensores de proximidad ultrasónicos, pero la aplicación como interfaz es desde luego interesante, creo no se me hubiese ocurido, aunque desconozco que tan preciso y sensible seria dicho método como para cubrir toda la pantalla
Very interesting. While most other touch sensing solutions employ light or electrical resistance, yours seems to be sonar based... it'd be cool to see what kind of weird phenomenon you could come up with by doing it that way. Perhaps some sort of feedback tricks using the delay from the sound waves?
stereoscopic ultrasound (stereosonic :P) ? or is it just 4 beams pointing down...

@pr4wn5tar I used 2 PING))) Ultrasonic Range Sensors. So I received 2 range values.

this is really cool i didn't know you could do this. wouldn't it be more effective if the sensors were more separated though?

We should try to collaborate on a project sometime.

Thats pretty awesome for a do it urself.
Props man. Love the classic particle emitter with the ridiculous "higher" tech sensors ahah..

Awesome! How did you make that?

What kind of Data does the sensor Return?
is it a X,Y situation?! or just Proximity to screen and Closeness to the sensor?
dawoof 2 years ago
It only returns one value. If my memory serves, it is the amount of centimeters the object is from the sensor.

hey, is it possible to take a look at the arduino code? how youre translating the values and such :)

very cool!!

Is there also a way to record these motions as animations to for instance add music to?

nice idea. it's certainly possible but not implemented in this project
