0 to 60 on a Honda jet ski, Kim gets wet

i have the same ski the 02 F-12X and i was sking at the same place with near enough conditions on the video and i was doing 63 mph. its a good place to ski lough neagh Antrim. i love Honda jet skis.

@kingofrs125 Get yourself a wee anchor and keep it well padded in the front. If you go out past the torpedo platform theres a nice castle with a tower you can climb with great views of the lough (as long as you don't mind climbing gates)  I sold mine when my second daughter was born so if you ever need anyone to go out with you let me know :)

Nice video! I'm test driving the honda r-12x today and it will be my first time on a jet ski... I'm not sure if even going to try to hit 60... Going to have to get use to it. I like the ending of vid, lol

@Indiana255, Yes I hit 64, and the next time I maxed out at 72! I luv it and can't get enough of it! I let someone drive it and they wrecked it, cost $700 to fix, can't wait to take it back out.

i think i commented about this once before on this video but, IMO that guy in the video DOES NOT perform an ideal acceleration on the honda. ive operated that model many times and the IDEAL acceleration is going not full throttle but just enough so the jet doesnt slip. you can CEARLY hear the jet slipping, which means you lose power. the best acceleration IMO is when you give just enough starting out to prevent the slip until you can apply full throttle!!

from my experience using those honda jet skis you get the fastest acceleration by giving it just short of full throttle in the beginning. you can hear the jet engine making slipping sound when you jolt it all the way when at 0 mph

dude listen just when u take of ,just about when ur about to get on plane it starts skipping ...like it hitting the rev lim......its because of a bad propeller....mine dide the exact same thing u chewed up ur propeller ...u might have sucked up some rocks

i got a turbo one they one go 63 not matter what but you can get the cool intake or a performance hule and it will run about 68-72 but sea doo just came out with one that goes 74 stock

ummm Honda F-12x has 165hp, sea doo rxt had 215hp. how is the honda more powerful guy? and thats just comparing two similar boats not to mention sea doo's new x lines putting out 255hp

Honda make very reliable jet skis, 4 stroke so way less hassle. Mine carries 3 people easily and you can waterski behind it or tow inflatibles. You'll get one 2nd hand around 100 hours for 5-6K and it'll be as good as new as long as its been looked after.

It reaches 55 in 4 to 5 secs. Like the guy said above the turbo lad delays it by a fraction of a second. How fast it reaches 60 depends on the water conditions. If it's mill pond still it doesn't take much longer. My top speed is 64 in perfect conditions in Upper Lough Erne, Enniskillen. I was out in Strangford Lough today. It is also a really beautiful stretch of water. I was able to go close up to some seals.

Whats an aftermarket intercoler? Are they expensive to fit? There's no doubt there's way more speed in the engine than it gives out.

pretty much what it does is cool the engine and that makes it perform at cooler temptures which means you get more out of it.. i got mine bought and installed for about $300

turbo lag is when u hit the throttle and have to wait for the turbo to kick in. not really a big deal. its not a very noticeable thing. i have an r-12x and a f-15x

you can buy them from the factory with or without.  i would recomend the turbo, its worth it!
