Okay i have a question on wear and tear for the short, single bailey button uggs as I am about to purchase my first ever pair of uggs (i know sad i had to wait this long) but how long do you think they would last me if i wore them solid (including at work), also walking to and from work (40 mins each end)?? as i have no idea and for their price would want them to last a while as at the minute i am wearing through trainers in like 6 weeks (the soles and backs are really bad on these!!)) thanks x

@datsgrlz4u i have a purple pair of the short bailey button uggs. I have had them for 2 years now and they still look good as new. The only thing is that if you wear them solid (i wear them for the whole winter season straight) the fur starts to break down, but that is typical with all uggs. The fur just isnt as fluffy as when you first got it. they are still awesome though!!

@datsgrlz4u well unfortunately theres not much you can do about it, but on the uggs website you can buy a sheepskin insert (kind of like an orthotic) that you can put in your shoe.

@tvfree4me Hiya, you are right sheep are not killed for their wool, that we make jumpers out of. But a sheep would need to be killed for its fleece/ skin as it would be really in-humane to keep it alive without it. i like that sheepskin like leather is a bi-product, the animal has already been killed for its meat and so nothing is going to waste unlike killing chinchilla (sorry dont know spelling) or mink that we don't eat. hope this helps :)

Its skin and skin doesn't grow back, only wool does and they take both the skin and wool of a sheep to make uggs.
