I definitely like my new HD cam. I only wish it had an viewfinder eyepiece. It is an manually operative cam (and some auto). I like it best in all manual mode. As far as the Panasonic, I don't know which model it is. The more the price, the more the manual arrangements are that delivers quality. Hard drives are better than external storage media. I have experience with cams for a long time. What you see is an example of how I like
