I've got an old (new) Firestudio 26x26 and its Cubase LE; M-audio Axiom 49 with no software, (which is how I discovered your work on youtube; Windows 7 home pro w/intel core duo and 4mb and ext hard drives. Lots of analog band equip.
I'm wondering how to isolate my laptop from services, (antivirus, update services, etc), so it will perform well, and also I'd like your suggestions for a beginner vst library, and such. I hope to multitrack traditional song demos. Thanks. GW
@lionmojo type in MSCONFIG in the search bar in windows 7 taskbar, then click on the startup tab, all the things in there that you dont use (adobe reader, antivirus, update services, ect, ect. you can uncheck them and they wont startup on the next boot. :) Be careful though... you can mess it up, dont uncheck things you are unsure of... Do a search on google if your unsure what it is. google is your friend! LOL Peace!
yo i just got cubase 5 and i am completeley lost lol i see that u know alot, can u please post a tut on how to work the program in general? it would be great, like with recording and making beats i usually use fl studio to make beats but im ready to try sumthing new, and i was recording on aa 3.0 but it crashed on me :( i am in need of help!!!! THANKS I SUBED
where'd u find the furniture.... how much did it run ya... i see alot of sound proof foam.. how much did each peice cost u and how did u determine how many u needed and where to put them
@cyco211 I actually got the foam from where I work for free. They throw it out! And i just made sure to cover any large open spaces on the wall to keep the sound from bouncing around. Much cleaner recording! I think you can get huge sheets of it online for around 30 or so. then cut it down to pieces. the goal it to cover as much flat wall space to reduce reverberation. Peace!
