I am never sure if a program installed correctly cuz kaspersky blocks all my programs from installing.. and it really screwed up my pc.. i say antivirus softwares are garbage.. my pc is actually running better with out an antivirus and the modern os does not get infected unless you dont know what you are doing. I never get infected and for my pc to run as smooth as possible I dont use antivirus

the best way ti beat viruses is to have the DEEPFREEZE and a USB FLASH DISK so you can work on the pc and save it the usb disk then after sutting down the computer it still like new no viruses no malwares no trojans...but all your works are in the USB FLASH DISK

Maybe Kaspersky is just as good,maybe even a tad better.But what makes ESS so nice,is the combination of a great antivirus,a reasonable firewall and spam protection,in a packet that takes so little resources that you can almost not feel its there.Kaspersky is pretty heavy.

I tried it last night it didn't remove or delete the rootkit, but the rootkit stopped from attacking, is there any antivirus that can totally remove or delete Rootkit.Podnuha.NBP trojan please I really need help. But tnx anyway my computer is safe from rootkit attacks although the rootkit is still in win32 and I think SuperAntispyware could not delete it. Tnx

Try Avira AntiVir and Malawarebyte's anti malaware. I think that should remove almost all (99.5%) infections on your pc. Avira and mbam are free, if you dont want to use premium vesrions!

i was several years with NOD.

My personal opinion is that after the scan NOD didnt complete well since the pc was not much usefull and the net wasnt usefull at all but i hope that in future this will be fixed. I wonder how the other antiviruses will do with this kinda PC

no, the malware writes a script to the system file winlogon that infects it with malicious code for the purpose of exploiting the noob, i mean user ;)

I think eset really lacks in spyware detection.but it is very good in finding macroviruses.Right now for removal,kaspersky is best.For prevention,nortan 2009 or AVIRA takes the crown.I m using Nortan 2009+SAS pro+comodo firewall+malwarebytes antimalware free(best combination).

i think you should redo eset on your normal machine and try your top picks such as Kaspersky on this box and see what happends that way its a fair trade, of course when you have time cus we all know you are busy and you do this to try and keep us all aware of whats going on with our computers! and i personally appreciate it!!! Great video. I hope I never encounter a problem like that! When you see how easy it is to kill an Internet connection I can see the benefit of keeping an old computer to help download software. I suppose if you don't have another computer or a Windows bootable disc you could always use PuppyLinux CD with a USB pen to save stuff to.

Is it possible to take a system hard drive out (one with Windows on it) and  scan it using another computer or would that be a dangerous thing to do?
