  • And hes a hero not only because he got one over on the fbi but also because he done it without hurting anyone except maybe himself lol

  • He thinks hes not obsessed because he goes a few days without even thinking about it? I would say thats pretty obsessed its been how man years lol and that flight attendant looked pretty guilty at the beginning if you ask me lol

  • AN__ALTERNATE__SCENEREO:___Cooper survived the jump...but on the way down he may have slammed into trees and lost his grip on the money. He landed ok but was separated from the cash. It was cold and dark....he certainly was not dressed properly for such a stunt. At some point he realized that if he did not get out of the area fairly soon he would be apprehended....do i stay and look for the money or risk prison for 25 years....he chose to flee...

  • @inkey2 A plausable conclusion.

However, what few Cooperphiles and other interested people fail to take into account or stress is that the whole hijacking revolved around one single, undeniable goal: to jump out of that plane.

This likely why Cooper chose a 727-a plane from which jump were feasible-and not a 747.

It is why insisted the backstairwell be lowered and argued with the pilots about this.

Cooper cared about nothing so much as jumping out of that airliner-regardless of 200 MPH winds

  • He existed alright- the FBI still has the case open- go figure...

  • @teceyS3 It's hard to say, I think that either he didn't exist or he survied the jump, went to a third world country and spent the money there. He might have dropped some of the money to make people believe he was killed.

  • Cooper never existed, the only people to have described Cooper are the flight crew, Not one passenger knew he was there. The police never saw cooper on the plane. There was very little money found on the ground and there was no body or other evidence to suggest he died. There are also conflictions about how he looked. The 200,000 was taken and split by the flight crew. Some money was thrown out the stairs to make it seem cooper died.

  • Are you aware that none of the money was ever spent. None of it ever went into circulation. The serial numbers on the bills were recorded by the FBI. When bills in circulation get old and worn the banks send them back to the federal reserve/ the mint to be perforated & burned. The serial numbers are on file and checked before they are destroyed.....so, if the crew did do it....they did it for nothing because none of the cash was ever spent.....not one bill

  • Why does all the cool guys have to come from america

  • @MySlaveeMaster LOL......where are you from....we americans are under the impression that we are universally hated by everyone on the planet.......it is refreshing to hear you think we are "cool"

  • Let see if people get this "Earn a high school diploma" Clue???

  • Cooper is not stupid. he outsmarted that square for years.

  • With stuff like this, usually the most obvious solution is the correct one.

He parachuted in the dark at 200 mph in a storm with no helmet and only a light overcoat over his suit over some of the most rugged and inhospitable territory in the US.

Neither he nor the majority of the money has been seen or heard of again.

If you want to find him, don't go around listening to tall tales from attention seeking old men.

Just check the list of missing persons from 1971. Someone must have missed him.

  • @gracie1232 ___ya know......I have never heard it from your perspective....thats a very good point. Cooper almost certainly died...and if he did, someone has to have missed him....a boss, friends, girl friend, land lord, family doctor. So lets assume he knew the territory well.....how many missing persons cases were there for a middle aged white male within say about 150 miles in any direction from the approx jump area....I gotta think the FBI must have followed up on that

  • FBI got fucked......

  • I asked my dad if he remembers this happening. He said that anyone with balls like that, deserves to get away!

  • have anyone thought that its just something maked up

not that i mean it but it could but i think thrtr is to many evidence to prove the 2. thing

  • i wached a different dacumentary and the stuadist had black hair and looked different, and this one on this video is blond? so something is fishy and lieing the media is... something is strange. maybe dan cooper never existed?!

  • @miamibitch305fl ask anyone in law enforcement....they will tell you that "eye witness" information is notoriously inaccurate. We all assume that the human memory works like a video camera and we accurately store the exact events and detail in our brains. It just isn't so. The brain embelishes things...or totally leaves things out. Example....since the advent of DNA testing hundreds of innocent people have been released from prison...all convicted on "eye witness" identification

  • DB Cooper is the man! It takes some set of cohonas to steal $200,000 and jump from a hijacked plane. Cooper Lives!!!!!!!!!!

  • The fbi did it.

  • mm

  • maybe he went to mexico and changed the U.S. money into Mexican currency ?

  • @TheBbbaaabbbeee you could be right because research shows that the money was not marked by the government.

  • @NJ2VERMONT the money was not "marked" by the government but all the serial numbers were recorded

  • Genius deserve money

  • i hope hes alive and spending his money well

  • That FBI agent comes across as a bit of a fascist...Cooper was anything but stupid.

He could not have been stupid and have accomplished what he did, whether or not he survived.

  • WHO SAID WHITE PEOPLE CANT DANCE.. U BETTER RECONIZE!

  • the true story is he crashed a klan of marijuana smoking ,dealing bigfoots, .

  • I think he's dead because none of the money was ever spent...so he fell to his death...

  • DB cooper landed, gathered his parachute, and left.

It's just that simple. He never spoke of it to anyone again.

  • D B Cooper's real name.....Kenneth Christiansen.

  • DB Cooper survived the jump but probably died of exposure

  • I am going to got to this db cooper day

  • fucks

  • A man just posted a video on YouTube saying he just found DB Cooper's lost cash. It's called "More DB Cooper Cash Found"

  • all those red necks outta be arrested

  • GO DB COOPER GO! Long Live DB COOPER!

  • several days without thinking about the case, guy your obsessed

  • hope he's alive and enjoy the money

  • ive researched this alot and i came out with this

Dan Cooper also known as D.B Cooper whas gone never located again.

but,one man,Duane webber, had a lot to say about the subject.

On Duane Webbers death bed he told his wife,Im Dan Cooper, let it die with me.

i have reason to beleave Duane Webber is Dan Cooper or D.B.Cooper

  • @WhySoSerious75 I don't agree.

  • Hi, I'm D.B Cooper!

  • Grow the fuck out of all of this, all you tail-chasing losers! They'll find Jimmy Hoffa before "Cooper" comes out of his bunker---with whatever cash left he has to return to your banks!

  • @grumpypant I agree that Cooper won't be found-alive or dead. The case interests me from a professsional viewpoint as a writer. Nothing more. I would tend to agree with you that the people who celebrate Cooper and the Cooperphiles-like those in the bar in this video-tend to be typical fans and fanatics. Also the woman who tells the poem doesn't know what the fuck she is talking about.

  • No fuckin' kidding, heh?...these DB Cooper freaks and geeks annoy me more than the "Roswell morons"...

Soon after the hijacking incident by Cooper, a very similiar incident took place nearby; and the suspect got killed in a gunfight with the authorities!...

How come they rarely take that in consideration?

  • @grumpypant Watch the UM segment on Cooper. They mention McCoy, the man you are talking about who hijacked a plane and asked for $500,000.

    Unlikely, that McCoy was Cooper.

  • fuck it im d b cooper i was drunk and bored at the time get over it

  • it's an okay video but people thnk of him as a hero but to me he is a coward and a theif he's no hero!!!

  • D.B. Cooper is the man

  • I think there are good odds that D. B. made it. I think that he probably knew the area very well and most likely fished and hunted in that region since he was a boy.

I think if you combine that kind with some military service, then D. B. had pretty good chance that night. Who knows just what he carried with him? He probably had matches and a cigarette lighter, maybe lighter fluid too. He would be at least 80 if he were still living. He is/was someone's uncle, husband, brother or dad.

  • whats the cooper song called

  • If he was a pro at sky diving he would not have taken the risks of not using a suit and only in normal clothing

  • In 1971 a man registered the flightpassenger list as Dan Cooper.

All the documentary stuff about this man refferes to D.B.Copper.

Now my question is : What stands the "B" for, and where does it comes from ??

  • Comment removed

  • To: pbstratocaster...

The D.B Cooper name came from miscommunication with the people who were investigating it. His name is Dan Copper... or so he says. The B stands for nothing.

  • Thanks cooper. What comment did the author remove?

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks Chris. Interesting story all in all.

  • Special Forces troops jump at 10,000 ft all the time it ain;t no big deal .

  • @Videowatcher76 ya but there trained to jump from high altitudes

  • TJacksonQB10

Yeah but since noone knows the true identity of DB Cooper , who's to say he wasn't ex SF ? That means not only did he have high altitude jump training , but survival training as well .

  • @Videowatcher76 ya he couldve been in been in SF that would explain why he would jump off so high

  • There is a good chance he survived because other then that small amount of money nothing else was found.Had he died his remains certainly would have been found by now.

  • You never know...

  • @SuperAuschwitz not a dollar of the money has ever been spent. DEAD DEAD DEAD.

  • HES DEAD NOT ALIVE

  • Best case scenario: If Dan "DB" Cooper were 35yrs old at the time of the hijacking, he would be 72 today. FBI estimates his age to have likely been closer to early to mid forties. The average lifespan of the American male is about 75. Add to that the fact that DB Cooper was a smoker so if he did survive he'd likely be dead by now anyway.

  • when u jump out of a plane don't it suck everything out of the plane as well??

  • He ordered the plane to fly below 10,000 feet so he was probably fine for the jump. Besides, afterward interest in the case led to several thrill-seeking skydivers to emulate the jump in precise detail to see if it were possible....it was.

  • he didnt smoke camels lol.

  • Which one of the flight attendants was that in the beginning? Schaffner or Mucklow?

  • 8-) yes he made it his name was floyd mccoy who did another 1 and was caught with about $500,000 minus about $40!

he then escaped from prison as he was a navy seal pilot and was shot dead by the fbi about 6 months later.cooper left a tie clip on the plane and mccoys wife id it as his and he was a dead ringer for the composite mccoy planted that money on the river bank to make the police think he died .

  • 8-) Oh yeah. He's alive and well.

  • Wow. I didn't know Rick Moranis was a park ranger.

  • @guywholovesmovies OMG! it IS rick moranis!!! good eye.

  • You should win a Best Short Film of the year in the grammy

  • THis guy has got ot be pretty smart and i wonder if hes stilla live that what i want to know

  • Great video! I enjoyed it!

  • That was really well made!

It also begs the question: is Cooper's status as a folk hero justified or morally reprehensible?

  • Dan Cooper died 36 years ago. No body has ever been found because he more than likely landed into a tributary of the Columbia River. As his body and the money bag decomposed, money was freed and floated down the Columbia River where some of it was found in 1980. This is the only evidence AFTER THE CRIME that has ever been found. It would be interesting to know more about the bag used to store the money in especially how long it takes to decompose when submerged in water similar to the area.

  • It's amazing how back then you could give a fake name and just waltz right onto the airplane.

  • thats what i was thinking but back then i dont think people were as crazy

  • im sure he died of old age.

  • yeah worship criminal (who would have killed innocent ppl for money) as a hero.....and then complain about increasing crime....

  • Ha Ha Ha... His bomb was made out of "Play-Dough", 5 highway flares, and the insides of an alarm clock. He couldn't have hurt anyone even if he wanted to.

  • how do you kno0w that? just asking

  • @konor2399

    Where does it say that?

  • 5/10

the country asses featured in this video ruined it.

this is a serious matter. Dammit!

  • Wow, This is he best D.B. cooper video on Youtube!!! Bravo!

  • excellent. really just excellent.
