as a frenchman I'm maybe not really objective but I think "l'essai du bout du monde" (the world end's try) n°2 should actually be n°1. It gave us the victory at the last minute vs the All Blacks in the Eden Park for the second winning test match of the week. First a northern hemisphere country ever to win two test in row in NZ. My list would have included Jonah Lomu's try around 10 years ago against Australia where he ran down the wing and beat about 3 men in a bledisloe cup game.. And also Alesana Tuilagi's against Australia in 2011 prior to the world cup on the basis that it was a good try in a massive upset.. But that Gareth Edward's try was insane..

Err, Gareth Edwards' try against the 1973 All Blacks is widely regarded as the greatest Try of all time, but the match was NOT an International match. The team in black and white hoops is the Barbarians, a British rugby club, and the match was a traditional tour closer at the time. No caps were awarded to members of either team for this match.
