i dint understanded the ending i dint got scared anytime and the instructions are kind of stupid passing trough episode 7 to 11 even the logic stuff are weird :/ but cant talk bad about the game because i am still playing it no idea why

i really love resident evil 5 and dead space 1 and 2 but yeah, resident evil? I don't like the way they make zombies (or stupid crazed people nowadays) shoot at us wtf? that's action not horror -_- and dead space well it was a okay not too scary but it could've been far scarier if it wasn't very repetitive, maybe if there was parts that you were helpless and you had to hide from your enemies, that's why I am very happy that this game came out to let true horror breathe again :D

@lucas96180 I do like Dead Space alot but it is true that the STORE OF WEAPONS took away the SURVIVAL part of it. (well for the first time it was when I didnt realize thos green boxes were supplies) ANYWAY, its true though. Siren games are quite good :) No ultra badass weapons, no stores. Just whatever you can pick up and hope that you can get out of there. And the tension is CRAZY.

This is the real modern survival horror. Not Dead Space (which isn't bad, just not so freaking scary, that you'd jump) or Resident Evil 5. As someone said 5 months ago, great trailer. I would definitely play this in profound darkness along with the FFs .

@TeamGYD in fact it was not before , silent hill is older , the similarities are because both games have the same creator(Keiichiro Toyama) , after SH 3 , team silent wasn't in charge of the following sequels , that was about the time when siren came out , you could say that siren is the spiritual sequel to silent hill games
It doesn't have trophies but don't let that put you off an excellent game, this is one you'll play over and over again to get the full story and other items to piece the story together.
I am a massive huge die hard fan of Silent Hill resident evil and any survival horror titles and this game just made my day it is amazing i love it because it is treated like episodes

How?, silent hill is more about the psychological aspects and horror, the town transforms into your worst fears and the monsters may just be in your head but the town makes them real to an extent, sirens about hiding from shibito on a cursed island due to a curse many people were changed but don't even know it's happened to them, finally most of old silent hill team worked on blood curse and the only similarity if any might be the nurse enemy with a twist.
i just downloaded the demo on my PS3 and played it around 2am, i have to say the game is fucking scary. especially on the 2nd Mission demo. I have a question, is it a long game?
@makta112 Because this is a remake of this original Forbidden Siren which was largely hated in America because we don't read the enclosed instruction books when we buy games. This is the largely dumbed down "you don't have to figure things out" version.

The game, the story and the perfectly created traditional japanese environment really fascinated me but why are most of the Shibito similar to insects?
Couldn't they make them running around carrying their own brain, or a corps without a leg making efforts to catch me? The scary thing is in the ease not in complicity.

@SadinIdic A lot of people have very silly ways of thinking exactly what horror is. It's not really about gore or violence. It's mostly the unknown that scares us the most. Forbidden Siren has a lot more of that. This one seems more like it's trying to be a tv show.

This is an excellent example of what a survival horror game should be. Resident evil and silent hill need to come back to their original roots and follow this games example. Plus resident evil needs to cut the co-op shit and stick to single player which makes the experience better. Thumbs up if you agree.

@OnlyLifeMatters Well I can't tell you where exactly when the fear kicks in, but if you play it by yourself in the dark and experience the giant guy you have to sneak around in the mines, the crawling spider shibitos, running through the hospital and the giant head in the closet you can't say with a clear conscience that you weren't scared at all. Those are just examples of some of the scary stuff in it.
@TKcmcbTD Hmm, may be the problem is in the lightning of my room, I should try play it in midnight, maybe. The lack of horror doesn't bother me though, the game is perfect even without it. And for your information, it was surprise for me too that I didn't find this game scary. I personally can't stand horror movies due their scariness, so this indeed seems weird.

i love this game, i love the game play both it's first person and third person modes were done right, you see through the character's actual eyes you can see your body when you look down and you don't get a separate player model for when your in FPS mode, and the movements of the characters are actually move realistically.and THIS IS A TRUE SURVIVAL HORROR people you have to defend yourself with what you find, so no rocket launchers or machine guns for you, you actually feel defenceless.
im so dissapointed that this game doesnt have trophies :( But still probably going to buy it (EIm a really big fan of survival horror and other horror games <3)

@TeamGYD in fact it was not before , silent hill is older , the similarities are because both games have the same creator(Keiichiro Toyama) , after SH 3 , team silent wasn't in charge of the following sequels , that was about the time when siren came out , you could say that siren is the spiritual sequel to silent hill games

How?, silent hill is more about the psychological aspects and horror, the town transforms into your worst fears and the monsters may just be in your head but the town makes them real to an extent, sirens about hiding from shibito on a cursed island due to a curse many people were changed but don't even know it's happened to them, finally most of old silent hill team worked on blood curse and the only similarity if any might be the nurse enemy with a twist.

@makta112 Because this is a remake of this original Forbidden Siren which was largely hated in America because we don't read the enclosed instruction books when we buy games. This is the largely dumbed down "you don't have to figure things out" version.

The game, the story and the perfectly created traditional japanese environment really fascinated me but why are most of the Shibito similar to insects?
Couldn't they make them running around carrying their own brain, or a corps without a leg making efforts to catch me? The scary thing is in the ease not in complicity.
Even the ending disappointed me.I thought it's going to be a disgusting monster, something that would shot me outta my pents.The game's not bad,not perfect not good,just not bad

@SadinIdic A lot of people have very silly ways of thinking exactly what horror is. It's not really about gore or violence. It's mostly the unknown that scares us the most. Forbidden Siren has a lot more of that. This one seems more like it's trying to be a tv show.

This is an excellent example of what a survival horror game should be. Resident evil and silent hill need to come back to their original roots and follow this games example. Plus resident evil needs to cut the co-op shit and stick to single player which makes the experience better. Thumbs up if you agree.

@OnlyLifeMatters Well I can't tell you where exactly when the fear kicks in, but if you play it by yourself in the dark and experience the giant guy you have to sneak around in the mines, the crawling spider shibitos, running through the hospital and the giant head in the closet you can't say with a clear conscience that you weren't scared at all. Those are just examples of some of the scary stuff in it.

@TKcmcbTD Hmm, may be the problem is in the lightning of my room, I should try play it in midnight, maybe. The lack of horror doesn't bother me though, the game is perfect even without it. And for your information, it was surprise for me too that I didn't find this game scary. I personally can't stand horror movies due their scariness, so this indeed seems weird.

i love this game, i love the game play both it's first person and third person modes were done right, you see through the character's actual eyes you can see your body when you look down and you don't get a separate player model for when your in FPS mode, and the movements of the characters are actually move realistically.and THIS IS A TRUE SURVIVAL HORROR people you have to defend yourself with what you find, so no rocket launchers or machine guns for you, you actually feel defenceless.
