I don't find the hack itself very scary, but I do find the message at the end of iggy's castle quite disturbing. The fact that if you search for the .jpeg file that comes with the download on google it gives you a very disturbing picture...

The creator of this must be mentally disturbed or something.

I just think that seems like a silly line, especially since it's supposed to be indicating she was murdered. Why not just say she was murdered? If they didn't want to specify a murder method, like strangulation or whatever, just say " Obvious signs of foul play" or something silly like that.

That heavily implies that a woman had a disease that is likely terminal. What if she's the same woman who had her eyes removed? Perhaps someone (Mario?) just sorta lost it when he found his beloved had died. They became angry that she "left" him or her.

I looked at the thread for the original creepypasta of this and found that the maker of this hack is still making hacks. And he has/is going to have one out. I didn't read anymore than, in his broken english, that he was to release one. Does anyone think that it would be as creepy as this one or just a waste of time? this seems to be a representation of mario in his own personal hell, reliving familiar things and being able to collect just enough beneficial items, like coins and mushrooms - the superficial treasures of his world - to be reminded that they are fruitless. nothing like that will keep yoshi from rejecting him as a best friend due to what awful things he's done in life.

the creepiness of this stems from the surrealism of it all mixed with the cryptic messages. it's BECAUSE you don't really know wtf's going on at first that it's unsettling. it's psychological horror; just because it's not the stuff of slasher movies doesn't mean it's not scary. in fact, i think the mindfuck stuff is FAR more disturbing.. and therefore cooler and more gripping :D my sister and i have the theory that he committed a murder-suicide. killed peach and then killed himself, maybe.
